Hotel Palermo

Excellent location in the heart of Rambla. Walking distance to Liceu metro station. Hotel was clean. Very small lobby and stairways. The elevator starts one level up so you have to carry your luggage on floor up. They do not have breakfast but lots of places to eat nearby. Very safe location.

Close to the action. But close to the action can mean lots of middle of the night noise. The door to balcony allowed a lot of noise to filter in as did the door into the room. The room was close to the lobby which meant we heard every guest come and go including late in evening and early in the morning. Sleep did not happen. The room wasn't equipped with great electric options, A/C had to be requested. The bed linens were very scratchy. It is a small entrance from the road and could easily be missed.

Das Hotel ist extrem gut/zentral gelegen und dennoch ist es in der Nacht ruhig. Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach gehalten - eher Hostel-mässig - und die Gänge sehr eng. Das Frühstück wird im Innenhof eingenommen und kann für wenige Euros aufgewertet werden.

Location 5 Luck of a lift is a huge disadvantage

The staff was exceptional at this hotel. Very accomodating with places to go and transportation. Lots of stairs to climb for those that are not good with stairs. Very clean and perfect area to stay in.

Hostal Palermo was very well located right in the middle of Las Ramblas. Easy to find and staff friendly. I stayed in a single room which was pretty small, but it was clean and had a door that opened onto the street. Noisy at night, but I had no problem with that as was expecting this in this area of the city. I walked everywhere, to all the attractions and parks and did not need public transport. Everywhere was within an hour and a half walk away. Lots of restaurants, bars and shops and the lovely food market just a couple of minutes away! My only criticism was there was no water for a shower on my final day, and the person on reception was busy and of course I was then dressed and ready to leave, so I had to pay to go to a public swimming pool which was frustrating as I wanted to shower before my flight home.

This property did not have access to an elevator to the room we rented and had to walk four sets of stair to get to the reception and rented room. This place also advertises that there are laundry facilities but they where not available during our visit. I will not be recommending this place!!!

El personal ha sido muy atento. La zona es transitada y segura. Lo unico para aclarar es que las habitaciones ya no cuentan con nevera. Solo podes usar una del comedor al igual que otros elementos como pava electrica horno y microondas

Nice and beautiful hotel close to the rambla in a strategic position well served from public transport. Our room was little but proportionate to the price we paid. Every day if you want the cleaning staff tidy up your room and change the towels. There is air conditioning and the windows are soundproofed. Given than all the rooms are for non-smokers people and there isn't a balcony there is a terrace where you can go to smoke. The staff was kind and professional, there always someone in the reception ready to help you for you needs. Beautiful experience, thank you all the staff

The location is very busy all the time. The room is old and a little smelly. Ac is functional. Basically, you get what you paid for.

Schmutzig, schimmelig, Balkon nicht nutzbar, Klimageräte direkt am Balkon. Toilettenspülung defekt, kein WC-Papier, WC viel zu eng, Spiegel auf 140 cm. Alles in allem nur gute Lage, aber max. ein Stern

I can confidently say is the worst place I've ever stayed, I’m 5’3 and could barely move around the room, my carry on suitcase couldn’t fit open on the floor. The room was dirty, with visible stains on the walls. The furniture was falling apart , and the bed had seen better days. the room was also incredibly noisy. I could hear every sound from the hallway and neighboring rooms, which made it nearly impossible to get any rest. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a truly unpleasant experience and I will never stay there again. Plus if you make a reservation to pay at the property forget about they will charge you card ask as soon as they get a chance. I made a reservation for two nights and left in the morning couldn’t stay for another night and of course didn’t get a refund.

Posizione perfetta, la camera molto piccola, con il wc dentro un box doccia, per me quasi impossibile entrarci comodamente. Peccato perché son stati gentilissimi ma la pulizia non era proprio il loro forte. Peli nel letto, e il pavimento si muoveva.

Mon séjour a été fantastique, l’hôtel est vraiment très propre, les personnes à l’accueil sont très gentilles et accueillantes. Les chambres sont vraiment bien, propre, les lits très confortables. L’hôtel est très bien situé, sur la Rambla, et permet donc une accessibilité très facile a de nombreux endroits, soit à pieds, soit en métro , le métro Liceu est vrai dont à côté. Je suis ravie de mon séjour à l’hôtel Palermo et je reviendrais dans cet établissement lors de mon prochain voyage à Barcelone !

This was my most expensive hotel on a budget trip across Europe Inc London and Paris. The manager did switch me to a windowed room after a couple of nights. Quiet air conditioning and modern decor made it more pleasant. Otherwise a great location off the Rambla if not a little noisy. Steps up to the first floor and then an elevator to upper floors,

This place is more of a makeshift accommodation than a hotel. The room is so small that you can rest your hands on the bed while using the toilet. The corridors are extremely narrow, making it very challenging to carry your bags. At over 100 euros, it's too expensive for such poor accommodations.r 100 euros, it's too expensive for such poor accommodations.

The staff was very helpful and kind. The only problem was that the beds were a bit too short for a taller person (185 cm).

The location was right, couple of blocks from La Rambla and easy access to everywhere. The room was very small. No windows, only a small one in the shower. My fear was a fire, there is no way you can escape...If you are adventurous, it is ok, it was not the place for me.

Room was really small for 3 person. Also no privacy for shower and toilet.

Very small room, barely enough space for suitcase to stand up. Wanted 332.00 on arrival, showed them room was paid for. Took over 45 minutes to check in

I had an incredibly disappointing and unpleasant experience at this hotel and feel compelled to share my stay or rather, lack thereof. Upon arrival late at night, I encountered a member of the front desk staff who was not only unhelpful but downright rude. I had a guest with me, and instead of handling the situation with professionalism, the staff member abruptly told me I wasn’t allowed to have guests and threatened to call the police unless I left the premises immediately. I was shocked and deeply embarrassed by this treatment, especially considering I had already paid for the room. In an attempt to resolve the situation peacefully, I asked to speak to a manager or to change rooms, but my requests were dismissed without consideration. The aggressive tone and behavior of the night staff left me feeling unsafe and unwelcome, forcing me to leave the hotel altogether. Additionally, the room itself—what little time I spent in it—was far below expectations. It was extremely small and reeked of cigarette smoke, despite being advertised as non-smoking. The odor was so strong it was unbearable, making the room completely uninhabitable. Given that I was unable to stay the night due to the staff’s conduct and the poor condition of the room, I am requesting a full refund. I believe this is a fair and justified request given the circumstances. I would strongly urge management to address the behavior of their night staff and to ensure their rooms are properly maintained and advertise

Staff were very kind and helpful

We went to Hotel Palermo just for a quick one night visit. Our room was fine, the room and beds were clean. What impressed the most was the service. The gentleman greeted us outside and helped us carry our heavy suitcases up the stairs. They helped us with making a 3:30 am taxi in the morning and also have us advice for where to go for food and entertainment. The area also seems safe and fun. Highly recommended

a lovely accommodating staff. really! we came early and they checked us in, we had an issue with the room on the first night and they changed the room for the second night. The facility itself is ok. Very central, walkable and convenient (we rarely used public transport) and rooms vary.

They have a great customer service, everyone is so friendly and willing to help. They were great!

The location is great other than the homeless people right outside the door. The rooms are tiny and the bathroom gets soaking wet every time you shower. They only clean the sheets every 4 days and the staff at the counter is consistently rude.

Awfull Staff, Doesn't want to help at all as soon as the trip is ended. Impossible to receive an Invoice from them. I sent them 2 e-mails and they do NOT answer. When you call them to phone, they do NOT want to check their Spam to find the e-mail. They do NOT want to listen to any solution you can Propose, they just hang up the phone. Checking Spam : Refused Spelling E-mail Address : refused Sending e-mail address by Expedia so that they can send you the Invoice : Refused. AVOID THIS HOTEL AND ITs POOR STAFF

Sehr gute Lage, Wände sehr dünn

The hotel is very convenient to the Liceu metro stop and in the middle of the Gothic quarter - excellent location. Because of that, it is a bit noisy at night from the street noise. We had a room for 4, so it was tight, but comfortable for our family. The staff were friendly and helpful. For the price, it is great.

Hotellet var i centrum, så var der meget larm i gaden

Great location. The hotel is centrally located. Accessible to transport, shops, restaurants, supermarkets and tourist sites.

Excelente ubicación y el cuarto es pequeño pero para Europa donde solo llegas a dormir es perfecto

The room had plaster coming off the wall, very uneven floorboards. There was no kettle in the room. The "breakfast included" menu was stained and shabby

To be honest I wasn’t expecting too much, it was only a one star hotel and at an extremely good price, but we only needed a bed for the night so I went ahead and booked. We had a really pleasant surprise - The hotel is situated in an ideal area, just off La Rambla, so plenty of choices of places to eat and great for the atmosphere in the evening and the market for breakfast in the morning. When we arrived, we were given a very friendly welcome and given lots of tourist advice and then were given a choice of rooms - 2 singles of a double. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and very quiet, which considering the central position was another pleasant surprise. The room had everything we needed - TV, WiFi, toiletries, beautifully white towels, a hairdryer, lots of power points, a safe, and the view from the window was of an orange tree, full of fruit. There were hot & cold drink machines in a seating area, and the reception desk was manned 24hrs. If you’re not looking for luxury, just somewhere safe and clean to sleep I fully recommend the Palermo

Det var en grei størrelse på rommet. Det var renslig og veldig stille for å være så sentralt. Personalet var veldig hjelpsomt og vennlig. Det var god frokost som anbefales. Føltes veldig trygt.
