Was conveniently located near Mount Auburn Hospital where my daughter was having surgery. That was the only good thing about it. Most of the hotel is being renovated. we had to change rooms as the bathroom door didn't close. The room they moved us to had no heat and had paint dust everywhere. The cooktop was shattered, the provided hair dryer full of white paint and dust, the freezer door stuck and the dishwasher was not properly attached to the wall. Staff addressed the heat, but not the paint dust. We left a day early and drove home after my daughter's surgery as we did not feel comfortable there. I have stayed in Homewood Suites in other locations and found them great. I would not recommend the Arlington, MA location. Overpriced and very disappointing.

The property location was great - relatively quiet neighborhood and safe. The room was updated and had all that we needed. Breakfast was ok - the hot food wasn’t the best. My biggest complaint was housekeeping - we stayed for 6 nights and the room was cleaned once. We were told they would come by every other day. The one day they did show up, there wasn’t much done - just fixed the bed and replaced a few towels. The elevator was also broken for more than half our stay.

The hotel has an underground parking area with free of charge for guests, so it is very easy for me to reach the Alewife station of Red line by walk. It’s a nice experience.

We really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast at the hotel. They had hot food which other hotels in the area did not. The hotel has complimentary parking that was a huge plus compared to the others we were looking at.

Parking, while it is free (big bonus in Boston area) is difficult to get as majority of spots are tiny and in tight underground garage with pillars at every other space, and majority of cars park diagonally or over line, making every other space unable to be used. There is only one way in/out, so have to back out to get out once realize there is no where to park. Remaining few spots are outside and around the back, not well lit, so as a female coming in/out late at night or early AM it’s not ideal. Otherwise loved this location. Clean facilities. Nice rooms with kitchenettes. Great free breakfast bar. Nice staff. Blue bikes right outside with access to great walking and biking trails. Lots of restaurants nearby. Safe area.

The hotel was very convenient. Easy parking and walking distance to several nice restaurants and shops. The neighborhood was safe for walking. The gym was nice and the breakfast was good. We would stay again.

The staff was great and the breakfast and breakfast room was excellent. The trail in back of the hotel led to the subway, and that was beautiful. The room, however, smelled damp and mouldy and I even ended up with a sore throat after staying there. It was not worth the $400 per night stay for the suite that we had.

The room was very clean, unfortunately the room location was awful as it was very noisy. There was a huge space between the door and the door frame so you could hear everything outside the door and light shined in all around the door. We were located right behind the ice machine (which dropped loudly during the night) and near the elevator so we could hear everyone coming and going. The heat system made a lot of noise as did the refrigerator so we eventually turned them both off. Neither of us slept much at all, so I doubt we would consider returning. It's too bad because the hotel staff couldn't be any kinder.

We were disappointed the room was dirty, bathroom and kitchen especially. Kitchen drawers broken, food crumbs in drawer and silverware was dirty. Bathroom needs updating and there was nail polish on floor. Worst of all was the bed, and you can’t even make this up. The bed has a top sheet then a queen size bed skirt, ON TOP under comforter and we were in a king bed.

The staff are friendly and professional, but the condition of the room was not up to the Hilton standard. The carpet and sofa had obvious stains, the bathroom had slow draining sink, and the bed frame had a metal piece sticking out, maybe a renovation is needed.

This was a budget stay on short notice with free parking located very centrally to Boston proper. For 1 night, it was tolerable and the staff was very nice; however, I’ve stayed at Hilton Homewood suites before and was really let down by the cleanliness of the room. Cleanliness is the main thing when staying anywhere and this room was not clean. The bed had other peoples body hair on it, the AC was old and hardly worked, the carpets were stained, there were hairs all over the bathroom from the floor, to inside the shower and on the ‘clean’ bath towels - things were in very poor condition and i was very skeeved out; i barely slept.

The cooling system is poor as the thermostat is located at the front of the suite, near the unheated hallway. The cooling unit itself is at the window at the unit back and doesn’t respond promptly. Half of the unit is too warm always.

The rooms are spacious with a large desk and so are good for working. Downsides included - noisy neighbours (I could clearly hear what they were watching on tv at 1am), the aircon is loud, old, and seems very blowy and unhealthy. I forgive much of this because I think that hte rates are relatively good. The Menotomy bar which is adjacent is excellent.

Only issue was the noise generated by the heating/cooling machine in the room. It was quite loud when it was running to the point of waking us up at night. Television control of the stations was awkward and while the "guide" for the stations showed us what was available it was a running guide so you hade to watch the guide scroll through it\'s entire list of stations of 62 selections before it started again.

The room was very clean, unfortunately the room location was awful as it was very noisy. We flew in for an event, unfamiliar with the area . Staff gave us superb directions on how to get there using the subway and busses, which exact ramp to take, which exact bus number. This was so appreciated, considering how big Boston is. They gave us confidence to navigate. Thank you!

At 12am there were people talking loudly in the hall way. There were bugs on the sofa, I got bitten badly all over my neck, hands and arms. The front desk lady was very rude and impolite.

Came to Cambridge at the wrong time - all college graduation, moving out etc. This is the only hotel available in the vicinity. Front dest never answer our calls. You have to go there physically to ask for towels. Many kids are there and very noisy. After we complained , the front dest stuff (a tall gentleman) responded promptly and the next day got much better. Breakfast was very good but super crowded. We will avoid May to stay in Cambridge in the future. But might come back to the same hotel because of the free parking and convenient location to Harvard.

Rafael at the front desk was awesome! My flight arrived super early in the morning and he worked hard to get me room to check in early.... The bed was super comfortable and breakfast was tasty with lots of options. My only complaint was that the curtains did not fully block out the bright lights from the parking lot but I clipped them shut with hangers and laid a towel towel down at the bottom to block the light from below.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very quiet and well kept. It's within walking distance of a T station, many restaurants, and a wonderful ice cream shop. The staff were very friendly and helpful with making suggestions on what to do in the area. It's a very convenient location if you're wanting to visit Boston. The free parking and breakfast were a nice added touch.

Best breakfast at a hotel, ever! Seriously delicious! Staff greeted us daily as we came and went. Wednesday reception was perfect and tasty! So clean and historically decorated with just enough art and photo. Some things need a minor update (carpet, fixtures, paint color) but felt like home.
