Great location, nice staff. Excellent breakfast. Room design is a little wonky and we could have used another chair since there is a kitchenette. Good bakery and restaurant attached.

Great stay. The only downside was the valet was so busy. Waited 15 minutes for our car, and they hadn’t even left with the keys to go get it - even asking twice about it—I kept getting told ‘it’s on its way’.

breakfast was delicious - homemade pancakes with fruit; enjoyed the bare area - sangria was really good; only had 1 roll of toilet paper - asked for some at the front desk before checking out - had to have housekeeping bring to us - should have 2 rolls in each room no matter what; staff were nice; pay extra for parking which is off-site; very modern

Excellent location and nice Rooms...Tower is shared by Aloft Hotel...Valet a bit pricey at $52. a night.

I enjoyed most of it. Not having parking without paying $40 a day down the street was my only complaint.

Disappointed that the booking showed a pool and when we got there was told no pool. Homeless screaming and cursing outside the front door with my children there, was a little scary for them . Breakfast wasn’t very good. Hotel was clean and had some options for dining was a plus. Not a horrible place, but won’t revisit in the future .

Great location with a short walk to 6th street. Lively restaurant’s on the 1st and 2nd floor of the hotel. Room was quiet, housekeeping was great, property is clean and in excellent condition. Valet service only which the process was good, the guys were efficient or self parking at a 3rd party garage a short block awsy. Would stay again and recommend to friends.

The location is excellent, just consider to pay $70 daily for parking to your expense.

My only complaint is the $65 day parking

Clean and comfortable hotel that was located in a fun part of Austin. Service was courteous, and breakfast was good.

Wonderful service and great location. Homeless are prominent in this area. Only complaint is my door kept sticking and floors were dirty in my room. Overall we enjoyed our stay and valet parking was worth paying for.

I've stayed at hundreds of hotels, this was one of the best beds!

Overall, great location and price. Only issue we had was transfer of noise between rooms. We were woken early every morning by crying children or maintenance.

Booked a room with 2 queen beds and 1 sofa bed 2 weeks before the trip. Didn’t get what I booked unfortunately. Ended up with 1 king and sofa bed which was not comfortable for 5 people. Stuff was nice though.

Clean room. Had everything we needed. Fridge, microwave, a few dishes, toaster if you need, can opener, sink. Could def stay here long if needed. Close walk to 6th street. We even walked to the Texas State Capitol. Valet parking. Nice breakfast. First day had chicken sausage. We mentioned to staff that bacon would be better...boom...bacon next day. Would stay again.

The HVAC system made a SUPER loud “KACHUNK” sound when it shut off (which was random - but sometimes a couple times an hour). It was startling every single time. Impossible to sleep through. It’s too bad because it’s otherwise a nice place. Oh, and the valet is ridiculous - it took 40 minutes to get our car.

I would love to give this a 5 star but for two things. First, the shower door leaked and more importantly, the door is so difficult to open/close that you have to slam your shoulder against it to make it open. And it makes a loud noise at that time. Fix these two items and it’s a 5 star review!

I loved that our room had its own kitchen and the atmosphere was great. Amazing breakfast options and the water they served was extremely refreshing.

The hotel is in a very nice location, near restaurants and bars. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need, however, we didn’t have a good experience with the service regarding parking. It was the first time that we stayed in this hotel, we thought that they had parking there, at least that’s what the website says. When we got there, the valet parking guy just asked us if we want to do self parking or valet, didn’t explain anything else, since we were going out again, we decided to do self parking, after 3 hours, we went to get the car again from the public parking around the corner, and we had to pay almost $40 for just 3 hours! Then when we came back at night, we decided to get the valet parking and we found out that we had the option to let them know if we were coming back, and they would give you a tag, it would still be the same price for 24 hours. It would have been nice to know this from the get go. The morning that we were leaving, we checked out, supposedly the receptionist called valet to get our car, we waited for almost 45 min, we went to ask the guy, he said that nobody called about our car, very disappointed about it. In addition, I think that the space for breakfast should be better layout, it was very inconvenient trying to get something to eat in a very small space to walk through, there was only 2 small toasters and one was broken, so people had to make a line to get a toast, it’s very inconvenient when there is so many people at this hotel.

Clean, modern Friendly helpful staff

The Element is an excellent place to stay in Downtown Austin. The place is extremely clean and I like the vibe of the place. The staff was extremely welcoming and always extremely positive. Like I mentioned in my Google review, Christine was amazing at the front desk, I could never walk by without her putting a big smile on my face. Such a nice, positive lady. The room was really nice, the A/C was nice and chilly, and the blinds totally blacked out the room. I honestly had zero complaints about the hotel which is usually rare. Outside of the hotel was nice. They always had staff out front and it felt very safe. It’s very close to Sixth Street, the Capital, and the rest of the fun places in downtown. I found it very easy to walk most everywhere and there is so much to do within a couple blocks of the hotel. I’ll definitely stay here again for future visits to Austin.

Each day someone was making pancakes, omelets.. plus bakery items from the bakery downstairs. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive and helpful. Mon thru Friday they even had a happy hour with free wine and beer! Would absolutely stay there again.

Clean, tidy rooms with all the amenities we needed and kitchen area properly stocked. Friendly check in staff. Enjoyed our breakfasts at the restaurant, again efficient friendly service. Good service also at the car valet station.

It was good except for the morning I asked the front desk to have our room made up within the following four hours. When we came back, the room was not yet cleaned. I had to go back down and ask that it be cleaned. Annoying.

The restaurant on the property was very good. Area around the property was a bit dicey.

Great staff, gym, breakfasts, room amenities. Best I've experienced in a while. Through no fault of their own, there are a lot of homeless people and panhandlers right outside the door and along the entire block. I was traveling with my son, and fully expected to let him walk to his class one block away, but thought better of it. There were some aggressive folks on the street.

Breakfast had limited options, but those options were healthy and quality-wise tasted great.

Place was a nice stay. We chose this due to the free breakfast but it was very limited to basic breakfast; eggs, bacon, or sausage. Minimal protein available, not a continental breakfast type. There were “gourmet” mini breakfasts but nothing actually filling.That was our only downside. Other than that, we had a pleasant experience.

Breakfast was not great. Eggs and bacon undercooked. City view in description was misleading. Our view was facing another side of a building, not a city view. Beds are comfortable.

The free breakfast was a joke. Even the motels have a better breakfast than this. We were very disappointed. I don’t think we will be staying here again

Located in a great area of downtown Austin. The valet was very fast with retrieving our car. The restaurants had great food and drink options. The only issue was the free breakfast... they ran out of food both days, clean plates and utensils were not available. We were able to buy breakfast in the hotel's cafe.

The complimentary breakfasts were fantastic, staff was kind and helpful, and location is perfect if you want to spend time on or around 6th street.

All the front desk people were extremely friendly and helpful. Cooked continental breakfast each day was a nice surprise. As was the daily happy hour? Lucky we only remembered to take that in only twice during our stay (hic!) Easy walking to most sites of interest, to restaurants, and to 6th Avenue bar strip. Room cleaning staff also helpful.
