Christina was the perfect host. I felt like family, not merely a hotel guest. There is not a more convenient hotel to the Lourdes Sanctuary. My room had an amazing view of the River Gave and of the steeple of the Basilica. I can highly recommend Hotel Saint Marie. Oh, and the parking is super convenient!

Staff were very friendly and the hotel is in a great location with a good parking lot for 10€ / night. For an older hotel, it is very clean and well maintained We enjoyed the ample common patio space for outdoor coffees / drinks.

This is an older hotel that is extremely nice. It absolutely fits with the vibe of town and the ambience. It is clean and safe but the absolute best thing is Christina. She may be the nicest person I have ever met and extremely helpful. Love this hotel and would definitely stay again

Sainte Marie is amazingly close to the Sanctuary. Great place if your purpose of visit is prayer. Christine, the manager, is so excellent, pleasant and helpful. She and her staff is giving a good breakfast, and they serve until you are satisfied. Room rate is fare as well. Room and the building were always clean. It was quiet, a necessity for those who are visiting for a deep spiritual experience. Highly recommend Hotel Sainte Marie for anyone who is looking for a good place to stay at the Sanctuary of Lourdes.

Considering we were on a pilgrimage in October, we weren't expecting a fancy hotel but a convenient one that met all our basic needs (shower, bed, WiFi) and was a comfortable distance from both the train station and the Sanctuary. Hotel Sainte Marie checked all the boxes! The staff were all very friendly and eager to help. The rooms we stayed in were all clean and we slept well. Our triple room had a lovely view of the town and each of our rooms had a small desk and two chairs. We didn't pay extra for breakfast so can't anything about that. I will say that the only thing we struggled with were the showers. They're not fully enclosed and so we kept getting the bathroom floor wet and then using all our towels to dry it up and kept needing more towels. The WiFi worked great and my entire group agreed that if we come back to Lourdes, we're staying at Hotel Sainte Marie!

Room is very clean as well as the rest of the areas of the hotel. Christina the owner is very nice who , make sure her guests are welcome and Marie who serves food during breakfast is very hardworking . One can notice how they love what they are doing making sure the guests are comfortable. It’s a 7 minute safe walk to the Basilica. Would highly recommend the St Marie Place to stay when visiting the grotto and Sanctuary of Our Lady.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was incredibly clean, and the location was perfect for our trip. We loved being so close to a variety of shops and restaurants, and it was so easy to get to the sanctuary . We would definitely recommend this hotel!We

Amazing, super clean and above and beyond staff. I would not call these negatives but ve aware...rooms are a little snug and there is a perfume scent throughout the hotel and rooms. If you are sensitive to smells, may want to call ahead and ask for room not to be sprayed with scent they use.

A stone's throw away from the sanctuary's St. Michael Gate (Porte St-Michel) and food options. Visited during the weekend of the International Military Pilgrimage, grateful that we are located on the quieter side of the sanctuary. Christina was a lovely host who always checked in on us when we crossed paths. The standing shower was a little challenging due to its design and there wasn't drainage in the dry area. Overall a lovely stay, will be back again!

Comfortable hotel right beside st Michael’s gate of basilica and near some great cafes and rests including Eleanor’s and Casa Italia, staff are amazing especially the owner and will do anything to help and advise can’t recommend them enough, only thing I will say is make sure to bring an extension or long charger cable as plug sockets are at level of lights or were in our room. Lovely place would stay again in a heartbeat.

Cristine takes care of everything we need including umbrellas because it was raining when we arrived. The road was closed going to the front of the hotel due to heavy rains which caused a flood and mud afterwards. A long time customer helped us bring our luggage thru the garden. Yes! That's how good Cristine is. Clients come back because she treats us like family. I would definitely recommend her to friends and we'll definitely stay again. Thanks Cristine! And thanks to our unnamed hero, didn't get his name yet but I learned he's from UK. More blessing!

My wife had an emengercy dueing the night. I asked the late night desk ckerk where is there a doctor or hospital emergency room where I coould take my wife. He kept rrsponding no doctor, no hospital. I kept telling him I needed to drive her to see a doctor. He kept saying no, not available. I finally dialed 911 and and a ambulnce came my our hotel room and drove us to a hospital in the next town over, about 20 minutes away.

Perfect, small, charming typical French hotel right on the river next to the Basilica. Walking distance from everything. Christine is absolutely amazing, so very kind and accommodating! What a perfect place to stay for a visit to Lourdes. I will be back! Very reasonably priced. Petit hotel charmant et typiquement français, situé au bord de la rivière, à côté de la basilique. Tout est accessible à pied. Christine est absolument incroyable, très gentille et arrangeante ! Quel endroit parfait pour séjourner lors d'une visite à Lourdes. Je reviendrai ! The owner is kind and useful who advised us about the shuttle pickup from our airline that saved us money to the airport as we planned to take Uber there which would cost us a lot more. The facility is a short walk to Our Lady of Lourdes Sanctuary , restaurants and shops which is very convenient!

Our triple room had a lovely view of the town and each of our rooms had a small desk and two chairs. We didn't pay extra for breakfast so can't anything about that. I will say that the only thing we struggled with were the showers. They're not fully enclosed and so we kept getting the bathroom floor wet and then using all our towels to dry it up and kept needing more towels. The WiFi worked great and my entire group agreed that if we come back to Lourdes, we're staying at Hotel Sainte Marie!

This is a quaint hotel right across the river from the Lourdes sanctuary. You can watch the evening candlelight procession from your windows. The windows are old, floor to ceiling that open like French doors with outside shutters that you can close if you prefer to sleep late. If you like solidly constructed, older buildings, this is the hotel for you. The owner is wonderful, very friendly and concerned with her guests welfare. From the hotel you can walk everywhere from the fortress to the sanctuary and everything in between. No matter where you've wandered to it is always a short walk to get back to the hotel. If you are making a private pilgrimage like we were, your will love the location of the Hotel Sainte Marie.

Perfect, small, charming typical French hotel right on the river next to the Basilica. Walking distance from everything. Christine is absolutely amazing, so very kind and accommodating! What a perfect place to stay for a visit to Lourdes. I will be back! Very reasonably priced. Petit hotel charmant et typiquement français, situé au bord de la rivière, à côté de la basilique. Tout est accessible à pied. Christine est absolument incroyable, très gentille et arrangeante ! Quel endroit parfait pour séjourner lors d'une visite à Lourdes. Je reviendrai ! Wonderful family owned property. Very easy access to the Sanctuary. Right on the river and nestled apart from any main road. The staff is amazing and the accommodations are comfortable. Breakfast was great.

The view from my window was incredibly! The hotel is 15minutes walk from the train station and 5 minutes from the Grotto. Kristina at the front desk was super nice and helpful. One of the best Italian restaurants is next to the hotel :)

I stayed at Hotel St Marie with my mother in early October. We visited Lourdes after Paris. It was my mother’s first trip to continental Europe and the first trip to Lourdes for both of us. I selected this hotel based on the amazing reviews, and they were accurate! This is the absolute perfect hotel for a visit to Lourdes. The location is absolutely wonderful—very easy walking distance to the Sanctuary, grotto, everything! It’s also romantically situated—look at the photos online. It’s spotlessly clean and quaint, and it feels classic and spiritual. Very clean and comfortable but not inappropriately swanky for the locale and purpose. Christine, the hostess/owner, is so amazingly warm and friendly. She takes pride in welcoming and helping others in this way and is a credit to the town. The breakfast each morning was prettily presented and delicious—a wonderful way to start the day. And I know this isn’t why you go to Lourdes, but the daily morning croissant is hands down the best croissant I have ever had in my life and I have spent a lot of time in France! My mother and I have such special memories of our time in Lourdes and the hospitality and atmosphere of this hotel and Christine were a special part of our experience.
