Motel 6-Council Bluffs, IA - Omaha East

I suppose it could have been worse. They appear to be doing and offering the bare minimum. Pool was also closed, not that I would have gotten in it based on the level of upkeep on the rest of the property.

Hotel was cheap. Just needed a place to sleep. Comfortable bed and clean. No fridge or microwave in room. Ice maker didn't work. Had a couple of big dogs on the same floor that barked all night long.

Stayed for one night. Hotel is ok if you just need a place to sleep. Otherwise do not recommend. Ice machines also didn’t work. Stayed in the non smoking room but you can smell smoke in the hall way.

The bed was comfortable enough and the room was clean, but the frame around the mirror was broken and some panels on the air conditioner appeared loose. The carpet in the hall was stained and there was an odd smell. To top it all off, the ice maker was not working.

Bed was clean. Floor somewhat clean. Air vent in bathroom was hanging down from ceiling and unplugged. Hotel has a working elevator….thank god!!! They decided it was a great idea to put everyone with dogs on the top floor. Parking lot was not very full so they could have easily put us on a lower floor. Guess you get what you pay for!!

Parking was easy. I would stay here again.

Bed was dirty first room, switched to second room, didnt have fridge or microwave when i paid extra to have it, staff was nice and friendly, pool was also closed whols time which is one reason i also booked, sucks but oh well.

Hallways had a smell to them. Pool was ice cold for being indoors, not heated, the heater in the pool area was broken. Half the channels did not work. Would be on a channel watching something and it would go to no signal for hours before working again. Very limited channels. Hotel personal did not speak English well enough to solve issues that arouse. We were given 2 towels for 3 guests and told that is all that is allowed. We asked for pool towels and got small hand towels.

Good quick check in, parking lot was dirty… signs saying they accept no responsibility for anything that happens to your vehicle. Room and hallways smelled clean, water pressure was great and the shower was super hot.

The bed was very comfortable and the place was clean and quiet. I had an easy check in and the front desk clerk was very nice. The ice machine didn't work very well and I was surprised to find out they do not provide shampoo or conditioner-otherwise it was pleasant and affordable. I will 10/10 stay here again.

Dirty - windows were full of black mold

This place was dirty, hallway stinks, towels were stained, I have nothing good at all to say about this place.

First off the parking lot was littered with trash and beer bottles. The room was discusting. There was poop or puke on the floor. Something was wiped on the walls. The rooms smelled like weed. The floors were sticky. When I went to the front desk to tell him about how dirty it was he told me he could have the cleaners come clean it again. When they came to clean it they just dumped cleaning solution on the floor and wiped it up with a dust mop. After explaining to the front desk that we were not satisfied with the room he told me if I wanted a cleaner room I should pay more… I was paying 177 a night… I do not recommend staying there.

The a/c was great and the beds were comfortable. The linen was definitely sketchy but not terrible. Floors and walls needed a good cleaning. The elevator and halls were clean. The hotel had a very dirty, odd smell throughout

I was bitten by a lot of bedbugs in large area around hands, feet and beds. Have to see doctors immediately to get treatment.

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing due to cleanliness issues. The hallway had a very unpleasant odor, and our room’s floor was dirty, with sticky spots resembling dried glue. Although the beds were made, we found hair between the sheets, which raised concerns about the hygiene standards.

Had to request a new room bc the first room was so filthy. Unwashed bedding full of old blood stains. Dried muddy bootprint on comforter. Trash under bed. Slop & stains on the walls. Smelled like old smoke. The lady at the front desk was very kind & helpful New room was in similar condition but clean bedding. Dried stains on floor/walls/ceiling. Broken light fixture with piece hsnging off. Not enough towels or pillows. Fecal residue in toilet. Cockroach in bathroom. Reeked like smoke.

Dirty and smelly.

Only area that was clean was where you Check in! My socks were black from walking on the floor in my room, you could see outside through the sides of ac/heater. Bathroom fan fell out of ceiling with lighters falling out. Told front desk and NOTHING was done. All the drug addicts camping out around the building and in and out of rooms! Will never stay here again even if it’s the only room available!!!

Normally i would say you get what you pay for, but this was the most expensive motel 6 i've ever seen. We were desperate for a sleep stop so we stayed. Pretty clean, tiny little bathroom, thin walls, definitely needs updating. But we slept and left. Mission accomplished.

Several transient people hanging around the area. Our room was supposed to have a fridge and microwave. It had neither, although there was a place for them. A lamp with outlet didn’t work. Needs some work, to have the ratings it shows. Disappointed.

Hotel was nice but the barking dogs all night and elployees not doing anything about it made it hard to sleep

Absolutely rude staff doors a old they squeak vending machines charge 4x the amount it should have and front desk has no idea who owns them

I stay here a lot. I like it because it's hassle-free.. I book it online, show up and 5 minutes later I've got my card key taking bags to the room. Staff is great 24hrs a day.. Just the fact someone is at the desk 24hrs a day is great.. Housekeeping is great and really nice.. They take good care of me..

I rated this an 8 considering what it is. A very inexpensive option so for the price, I rated it 8 stars. I came to the area for the College World Series making last minute plans after my team advanced. Everything was crazy expensive. This property is just across the river. Staff was great. Got me in a room early, moved me to quieter room. Very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable. Pro tip, the single bed rooms are on the freeway side against an onramp. Lots of road noise. I was told all singe beds are on that side. I was fortunate and they had an ADA single on the other side and they moved me to because there were no double beds available. I would say it is worth the extra money for the two bed rooms on the quiet side. The rooms seemed to have been updated recently so don't let the exterior fool you. This isn't the Hilton but it was more than half the cost so it worked for me.

The place is in great shape. I love it, this is my 3rd place at Motel 6 with in a week and this is the best. And the staff is excellent. AAAA

When I arrived at the hotel, It was 11:00 pm, the hotel was closed. I waited near the door, but no one opened the door for me, when I called the person from the hotel. He sent me to another address, when I arrived at another address There was no person at the reception desk. I waited there for 2 hours and went to rent another hotel. So I did not get into this hotel, they did not return my money. Although the next morning. I returned to this hotel, and they promised to return my money, but they never returned anything to me.

Easy in and out of interstate

Never like to see transient people just hanging around in the parking lot. Old property, bathroom door didn't close, was rotted, plaster in bathroom not intact. Get what you pay for, but expected at least basics. On positive side, staff was efficient, kind.

It's a good location near Walmart, gas stations, restaurants, etc. Good highway access and descent quality for the price! New management has been a plus in making the motel better

Like that it was near all the fast-food restaurants & wal-mart super center. It is right off the freeway too!👍

This was my third time staying here. Its not the best kept place, but the rooms seem clean. Usually quiet. Plenty of gas stations and fast food restaurants around. Like a mile west is a walmart and more food options. Theirs plenty of options, even within walking distance. Its 3 floors high, but they do have an elevator. Last time i was there, i tried a vending machine, but it didnt work. The heaters in the room work good in the the winter time. Dont really remember, but i believe the showers have been decent. Only once did i have an issue with someone being loud in the halls. I do use this place for solo business trips. For a family traveling, i dont know if id stay here. Would i honestly stay with my kids, probably not. Their has to be a better place nearby more family oriented/friendly. They do not include anything for breakfast, but most of these cheaper places are skimping on that anymore. If youre lucky to find cereal and toast, youre lucky anymore.

It's a good distance from great food and places too see plus it's worth the price

Reasonably clean. Convenient to Omaha. Close to restaurants and shopping. Not far from airport. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced during the College World Series. The AC cooled but didn’t remove the humidity so the air was sticky feeling. I would stay again.

Doesnt look like the safest area to be in and its pretty rundown. I needed a cheap room so i cant complain to much but...yeesh

It was very convenient for me close to the airport and easy to access the staff was very inviting and friendly

I'm disappointed with the free breakfast it's just stale coffee no sugar and cream that's all.

For my flight getting rescheduled and this being one of the only hotels with any availability, it was ok for a place to sleep. Definitely one of the “you get what you pay for” situations. Glad I didn’t pay for it, but very disappointed that I redeemed reward points for it. The check in staff was absolutely wonderful! They were quick, efficient, and empathetic for the long day of traveling I had gone through. Great customer service! This hotel is in a very convenient location, close to bus lines, a Walmart and other shopping centers. However this hotel is dated beyond measure. Small coffee area in front, semi-functional vending machines. Weird chemical smell when you walk in. Limited (if any) amenities. The hallways on the 3rd floor reeked of pet urine. The first room that I checked in to was filthy- hair all over the bathroom and bedding, dirt and debris on the floor, the floor was sticky (they said it was from humidity), there was dog food and built up pet hair in the corners of the room, it smelled like a wet dog and it was honestly just gross. The bathroom light flickered and wouldn’t stay on. Again, I understand it’s a you get what you pay for, but it should be some resemblance of clean. The second room that they switched me into was better, but barely. Still hairs in the sink and bathtub, but the bed was clean(er) and at almost 2am, it was acceptable for the night and I really didn’t want to move again.

Nothing fancy. When you are gone all day, all you need is a place to clean up and lay your head at night. I only wish that I had known before hand that there would be a $25 early check in fee. I sat in my car for 2 hours waiting for the 3PM check in. I also wish the staff would have told me about the free coffee at check in...it would have saved me $4.50 for a cup of coffee at Mid-America Center! Otherwise, Motel 6 filled the bill for what I needed. Thanks!

Staff members are great. Coffee is good, plenty of vending machines. Room was decent for the price.

It was quiet and i was comfortable.. the only complaint i have is i thought it told me that i would have a microwave and a fridge and there was neither of those items.. and i thought it had breakfast also but no breakfast
