The room was great. Nicely laid out with an adorable little balcony overlooking the street. The location was great- very walkable. It is located in the part of town known for the nightlife. The area directly around the guest house was very busy at night, but it was silent in the room. Richard was lovely and kept my baggage for the day after I’d checked out.

Richard was an excellent host. The room was beautiful and clean and the bathroom modern. Once we saw that it was over a very popular bar, we thought we would get zero sleep but somehow, the juliette balcony and window facing a very happening night life location, was very quiet! We were so surprised. Also the AC unit was excellent and kept the room nice and cool, which also helps be get a great night's sleep. But I would only recommend this place for couples and single people not for families. The bar down stairs was also great. Very social and popular and fun to enjoy.

The rooms have been renovated and are very modern. There is air conditioning, but no lift/elevator. The stairway is a bit tight, some of the steps are narrow, but we made it to the 4th floor (5th per USA definition) without any issue, we just moved carefully.

Not like what I thought. The positives are the staff is nice, the bed is comfortable (but it’s a double not a King) and the room is spacious. Downsides are there’s no elevator and the stairs are steep, it’s very loud at night surrounded by bars and bass music until very late every night, there is no closet, no hanging rack, and no hangers at all in the room plus it looks more vintage in person than in the photos. Don’t tell the housekeeper to just give you towels day 1 as then she won’t clean your room the rest of your trip even if you put the sign on the door. You must get a taxi not an Uber to be picked up and dropped off at this location. Important to keep these things in mind when booking this hotel.

A clean, comfortable and affordable room in the heart of the Barrio. Nice view to Lisbon old roofs and streets. The area is very touristical in Summer but remains nice in other seasons. The owner was kind enough to carry my heavy bag to the 3rd floor... the stairs is a bit steep but so nice! An enjoyable stay.

We had a great time here! After reading the other reviews, I was very worried it would be too loud to sleep (and that might be a problem on the weekends) but since we stayed there during the week, but we weren’t bothered by noise at all. They have invested in good soundproof windows and when closed, we slept great. Also stuff closed around 2am and we found it actually pretty quiet outside afterwards. As advertised stairs are narrow but you’re booking here for location and that was great. There’s a cute bar on the street level we didn’t get to try but looked like a great place for a nightcap. We easily walked to great restaurants from here and could catch an Uber about 2 blocks away to go anywhere further. (Also the booking mentions this but Uber won’t go all the way to the location but they get close. It’s about 2 blocks (uphill).) We were very happy and almost everyone in this area (including the host) spoke great English in this area.

Even this place is surrounded by bars and restaurants, when you are inside of your room it is very quiet. The owners have a bar nearby, so, if you need something (you wont) they are there willing to help you. They speak English and Portuguese, as far as I know. If you are bilingual in one of these languages You will be fine. i would come back. In my point of view the place is nice and neat. I would say a new concept of apartment. More important than anything, as far as I know, apartments in Lisbon usually does not have bathroom. They are collective. In this case, we were lucky. I trully recommend this place.

The only thing is that the zone has restrictions for some vehicles but everything is well explained in the description and by the staff during the booking. The room was very clean and with all the necessary amenities. The staff very helpful and communicative. For sure will stay again

Wir hatten für unseren Aufenthalt in Lissabon uns für diese Unterkunft entschieden. Das Haus liegt im wunderschönen Viertel mit vielen kleinen Restaurants und Bars. Das Zimmer war sehr schön. Am Wochenende etwas laut, da unter uns direkt Bars an der Straße lagen. Das hat uns nicht wirklich gestört. Das einzige was ich noch hinzufügen würde, wäre ein Ganzkörperspiele im Zimmer. Das vermissten wir. Ansonsten habe ich nichts auszusetzen. Die Ausstattung und Sauberkeit der Unterkunft war hervorragend.

ホテルはメトロへの出入り口があり市電の結節点でもあるカモンイス広場に近いと言う大変便利な立地にあります。泊まった部屋は2面に窓がある開放的で清潔な部屋でした。早めの到着でしたが、先に荷物を預けることが出来ました。

Cobblestones, tight streets, colourful walls and traditional architecture is what charmed me about the area - the famous Barrio Alto. My room was on the 3rd floor (4th flights of beautiful wooden stairs - low cardio, bad knees and heavy luggage be aware). My room ( blue denim tones) was airy, bright, modern decor with beautiful wooden beams at the entrance serving as storage. The Bathroom was lovely ( that IKEA mirror….) with very hot water and excellent pressure amd a towel for makeup. Beds were comfy, internet fast. It was perfect for my long layover. The room has an efficient AC which is great as it is very hot during the day in July.I had dinner on the next street outside and partook in people watching from the cute little balcony nook. If you are a light sleeper and are sensitive to noise it might be difficult for you to enjoy the place. Its also close to restaurants, sightseeing and a busy part of Lisbon. Richard and the staff were reactive, welcoming and helpful. I had a fantastic time :)

We loved staying here, Richard is a brilliant and efficient host. The area is full of life (expect noise outside until 11.30pm/ 12 ish during the week- didn’t bother us at all - it’s lovely and lively - but if you want serene evenings it’s not the place for you!) although the windows are great and keep out the majority of noise and the aircon is great. Room was spotless, stylish, amazing shower plus fridge and kettle provided :-) amazing area - everything really accessible as long as you don’t mind a little walking up and down a few hills - ubers won’t take you to the door as it’s such a thin road, cabs will - but you pay for it- we paid 40 euros from the airport in a cab - and just 15 euros back to the airport in an uber which we ordered from the nearest main road. Would definitely stay here again

The room was a micro-room which was fine as we were only sleeping there and spending most of our time out and about in the city. But the area was unbeknownst to us a party zone with hoards of roving drinkers chanting, singing, and shouting till the early morning. The room's windows luckily were good at dampening the noise.

I informed them my flight was to arrive late in the evening they said dont worry they have staff to check us in and bring our luggage up. My flight was then delayed and i called the host to which they inforned me they did not have someone to bring my luggage up. My flight ended up getting canceled, and expedia contacted the host for a refund to which they would not provide. Do not book wkth this place , they are not flexible or accomodating.

Excellent place for nightlife, surrounded by bars and restaurants in the heart of Bairro Alto. 5mins walking distance from Pl. Camoes and Tram 28. The only thing is that the zone has restrictions for some vehicles but everything is well explained in the description and by the staff during the booking. The room was very clean and with all the necessary amenities. The staff very helpful and communicative. For sure will stay again

The room was great. Nicely laid out with an adorable little balcony overlooking the street. The location was great- very walkable. It is located in the part of town known for the nightlife. The area directly around the guest house was very busy at night, but it was silent in the room. Richard was lovely and kept my baggage for the day after I’d checked out.

We loved staying here, Richard is a brilliant and efficient host. The area is full of life (expect noise outside until 11.30pm/ 12 ish during the week- didn’t bother us at all - it’s lovely and lively - but if you want serene evenings it’s not the place for you!) although the windows are great and keep out the majority of noise and the aircon is great. Room was spotless, stylish, amazing shower plus fridge and kettle provided :-) amazing area - everything really accessible as long as you don’t mind a little walking up and down a few hills - ubers won’t take you to the door as it’s such a thin road, cabs will - but you pay for it- we paid 40 euros from the airport in a cab - and just 15 euros back to the airport in an uber which we ordered from the nearest main road. Would definitely stay here again

The room was a micro-room which was fine as we were only sleeping there and spending most of our time out and about in the city. But the area was unbeknownst to us a party zone with hoards of roving drinkers chanting, singing, and shouting till the early morning. The room's windows luckily were good at dampening the noise.

Not like what I thought. The positives are the staff is nice, the bed is comfortable (but it’s a double not a King) and the room is spacious. Downsides are there’s no elevator and the stairs are steep, it’s very loud at night surrounded by bars and bass music until very late every night, there is no closet, no hanging rack, and no hangers at all in the room plus it looks more vintage in person than in the photos. Don’t tell the housekeeper to just give you towels day 1 as then she won’t clean your room the rest of your trip even if you put the sign on the door. You must get a taxi not an Uber to be picked up and dropped off at this location. Important to keep these things in mind when booking this hotel.

After reading the other reviews, I was very worried it would be too loud to sleep (and that might be a problem on the weekends) but since we stayed there during the week, but we weren’t bothered by noise at all. They have invested in good soundproof windows and when closed, we slept great. Also stuff closed around 2am and we found it actually pretty quiet outside afterwards. As advertised stairs are narrow but you’re booking here for location and that was great. There’s a cute bar on the street level we didn’t get to try but looked like a great place for a nightcap. We easily walked to great restaurants from here and could catch an Uber about 2 blocks away to go anywhere further. (Also the booking mentions this but Uber won’t go all the way to the location but they get close. It’s about 2 blocks (uphill).) Richard was an excellent host. The room was beautiful and clean and the bathroom modern. Once we saw that it was over a very popular bar, we thought we would get zero sleep but somehow, the juliette balcony and window facing a very happening night life location, was very quiet! We were so surprised. Also the AC unit was excellent and kept the room nice and cool, which also helps be get a great night's sleep. But I would only recommend this place for couples and single people not for families. The bar down stairs was also great. Very social and popular and fun to enjoy.

Even this place is surrounded by bars and restaurants, when you are inside of your room it is very quiet. The owners have a bar nearby, so, if you need something (you wont) they are there willing to help you. They speak English and Portuguese, as far as I know. If you are bilingual in one of these languages You will be fine. i would come back. In my point of view the place is nice and neat. I would say a new concept of apartment. More important than anything, as far as I know, apartments in Lisbon usually does not have bathroom. They are collective. In this case, we were lucky. I trully recommend this place.

The location cannot be beat (well, it is little bit uphill). No lift (but the stairs were good for me). The only annoyance was the bar below--rather loud till way past 2am. And I mean LOUD... but the room was great.

We thought the place was good. The only difficultly was it located in a "party" part of Lisbon, and it was very loud on the streets until 3:00-4:00 a.m. We were there during the season of the World Cup Soccer Tournament, so that undoubtedly added to the street noise. Other than this, the place was great a good value.

It’s a super cute hotel in the heart of Lisbon’s Bairro Alto area. Full of cobblestones streets, classic European buildings, and so on. We loved our stay here. It was inexpensive and we got to go anywhere within Lisbon by walking (Lisbon is best enjoyed on the feet). Plenty of restaurant options. We stayed in March so didn’t need A/C and they provided a fan for a cool nighttime sleep. It’s in the heart of Bairro Alto so be prepared for late night noises but I wouldn’t ding this hotel for that. They have done a decent job of installing tight glass windows and darkening curtains. Overall, an excellent stay!
