Overall: good value for price. The property is located at a convenient area where has lots of good restaurants. Checkin: smooth. the front desk has a person when we arrives. Facility: no elevator. The staff offers to carry our bags up. Room: small but bathroom is relatively bigger. Its a bit small to have a large suitcase open in the room. We stayed at the top floor and the room has no side window but only skylight that can open and close. Beds are on the hard side and comfortable to me. Amenities: has shampoo/conditioner/shower/lotion which are all pretty good. Has a small fridge and kettle too.

Chiado 44 is a nice property and very well located near many shops, restaurants and local landmarks. The staff here goes above and beyond to ensure you have a pleasant stay. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the lack of an elevator (we were staying on the 5th floor!) Fortunately staff were more than accommodating and did take our luggage to our room. There is no kitchen/restaurant on site but there are many choices close by. We were given many good restaurant recommendations and were not disappointed with their choices.

We really enjoyed Chiado 44. Location was great - we could walk to everything we wanted, and were just a few blocks from the metro. The view can't be beat - my husband sat out on the balcony whenever we were at the room. There is no elevator, which we knew in advance, so not an issue. The only downside is that the building could use updating or refreshing. The stairs were old and not uniform in size, so take care when navigating. Our sink and shower didn't drain properly. Staff were outstanding. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again!

We had a lovely stay at Chiado 44! The hotel is centrally located but on a side street which meant we were not bothered by late night partying. The hotel does not have an elevator, this was no problem for us, but good to know. They also do not serve breakfast, but since Lisbon has so many wonderful breakfast and brunch places we were planning to eat out for breakfast regardless. The central stairway looks a little worn, but the rooms are well renovated, the bathrooms are great, everything is clean and the AC works well. The price was also very reasonable considering the amazing location, and the staff very kind and helpful, would recommend this to most anyone, and would be happy to come back here in the future.

Appears to be a house converted into a boutique hotel. “No frills” in that it has small rooms and no amenities (no lounge/restaurant/breakfast area or fitness center/spa) and forget parking. But it does provide clean (if not spacious) accommodations, chic décor, comfortable bedding, eco-sensible bath products, quality towels, and helpful 24 hr front desk staff. Isabella was a big help when my phone’s WiFi decided not to cooperate when I was trying to order an Uber. Other staff members assisted me with my luggage, which was an absolute necessity for me. I am well aware that elevators are a rarity in many European hotels (unlike the US where they are a given) but this staircase was exceptionally treacherous! It was not only steep and seemed to go on forever but the wooden planks had worn down in certain places so that they were not level. I couldn’t believe that the staff was practically running up and down with our suitcases without faceplanting! On the other hand, the view from this elevation was just as stunning as advertised – just be aware that balconies on these old Portuguese buildings are super narrow – maybe 24 inches – so you don’t have much room to move about and you’ve got to be careful, so go easy on the wine!😊 This hotel would certainly appeal to the young spry crowd but anyone with knee issues or mobility problems in general should stay away!

Lovely hotel and great location! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable. We had a room on the 3rd floor with a balcony. The glass door of the balcony was surprisingly soundproof, blocking all street noise at night so we slept very well. There is no elevador, so you have to walk up stairs to get to the upper floors, but the stairwell was wide and not very steep, so we had no issues there. I really can’t express enough about how lovely the staff was here. Great communication and so friendly! We had a great stay!

Check in and staff were wonderful. Location was excellent. The room left a lot to be desired. What showed on Expedia as a balcony room turned out to be a cramped attic room. The ceiling in the bathroom was severely sloped over the commode, impossible to stand. The room was clean and housekeeping came which is rare these days. Other rooms may be better here but this on was not it.

The room is small and tall people will hit their head on the slanted roof ceiling on the 4th floor bathroom. Not to mention there are 104 steps to reach the 4th floor and there is no elevator.

Isabela and the staff at Chiado 44 are by far the best staff in the world. I had a few hiccups during my trip and without the staff, I may not have made it through. Everything from recommendations, to letting me use a personal cell phone, to a handwritten card for my birthday and a call to my cell to make sure that I was OK after an incident. There are not enough words to convey my appreciation! I will definitely be back and cannot recommend Chiado 44 enough.

Prior to arrival, they contacted me to determine the bedding arrangements. The staff were very friendly from the moment we walked in. We arrived early and they held our bags and brought it up to our room after check in which helped tremendously. First trip to Lisbon. Hotel was so well situated away from all the noise but very close to Baixa Chiado metro line and tram 28/24. The hotel was great but the service provided by Isabel, Sara, Matilde and Bianca were amazing. They were very hospitable, accommodating and made our stay very comfortable. Thank you ladies!! Our stay in Lisbon was on the right track from the get go. We were reached out before our holidays and were rest assured that we were going to be picked up from the airport any time and taken straight to our stay. Besides that we were constantly asked if we needed any info re our stay in Lisbon, this was very helpful and felt welcome to the city before arriving . On arriving we were meet with a friendly smile .All our quires and uncertainties were answered ,we truly felt we were amongst friends. Though to reach the room we had quite a number of steeps it was all worth it ,the room was cosy and clean. We had an option for room service and we took it ...satisfied . All in all our stay at the Chiado 44 was one of the important ingredient of have an unforgettable time in Lisboan.OOO Lisbon ,will always vibrate in my mind. Highly highly recommend the Chiado 44 and her friendly staff.

Absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was INCREDIBLY friendly, leaning forward to help us arrange transportaion to and from the hotel, as well as an awesome tuk-tuk tour. They even helped us up the stairs (no lift) with our bags. They were very responsive in communications even given the 8 hour time difference. Their favorite line was "Don't you worry" :) Can't recommend this place or these folks highly enough. Comfortable, within easy walking distance to all kinds of restaurants, tourist areas, and transportation. Room was big enough to unpack, and LOVED the tiny balcony above a relatively quiet street.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, in der Nähe der Metrostation und unweit von vielen Sehenwürdigkeiten. Auch die Straßenbahn 28 fährt um‘s Eck los. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit wunderschönem Ausblick auf den Fluss und einem kleinen Balkon.

We stayed at Chiado 44 for 2 nights. When we arrived the staff helped with our luggage right away and put it in our room for us. They helped orient us to the city and offered coffee etc. The room was very clean, had a little balcony and the shower was great with great water pressure. The hotel is located in the Chiado area up on the hill. So, be ready to walk some hills if you plan on going to other areas like Biaxa and Alfama. Use Uber and public transportation. Pretty cheap. Overall, we loved the location of this property, the room was great and quiet, and service was exceptional.

Overall we had a great stay! The property was clean and the staff super helpful. It was a little disappointing though to be told everything on top of the mini bar was included in our stay and then be charged for the Pringle’s and nuts.

Un hotel calme, au centre du Chiado. Le personnel est très sympathique, les chambres sont situées du 3ème au 5ème sans ascenseur, mais le personnel monte vos bagages en chambre. Les chambres sont climatisées, Pas de petits dejeunés sur place, mais de nombreuses pasteleria autour pour trouver son bonheur. Le plus, un calme très appéciable dans un quartier ferstif le week end.
