The hotel itself is beautiful, the location is excellent, and Mariana on the staff was outstanding. She spent a significant amount of time trying to help us during a very difficult arrival. Unfortunately, one of the primary reasons we booked The Lumiares was because it offered parking. Prior to arrival, the hotel sent multiple updates regarding changing road restrictions and access routes. Despite following those instructions, we spent several hours attempting to reach the hotel. Even with assistance from hotel staff and local police, we were ultimately unable to access the hotel's parking solution and were directed to alternative parking instead. As a result, we lost most of our first evening in Lisbon, missed our reservation at the hotel's rooftop restaurant, incurred additional charges, and experienced damage to our rental vehicle during the process. What disappointed me most was not the construction itself, but management's response afterward. While the inconvenience was acknowledged, no meaningful resolution was offered beyond a future-stay discount. Beautiful property and excellent front-line staff, but unfortunately the arrival experience and follow-up response significantly impacted our stay.

Everything was amazing. I spent a premium because it was my 30th anniversary trip. I think for that kind of money breakfast should be included. But other than that, everything was amazing. And very centrally located. Five stars in my book.

We had a beautiful week long stay at Lumiares in mid July. Our 1 bedroom suite was lovely and had everything we needed and more. Having breakfast on the rooftop every morning was fantastic. What stood out amongst all else was the quality and genuine warmth of the staff. From firmer pillows, providing bubble wrap to pack wine for our flight home, take away boxes at breakfast, restaurant recommendations etc nothing was too much trouble. A fabulous hotel/apartment that I would highly recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even beginning before our stay. They helped us arrange a private car to pick us up from the airport and ensured that we had a car seat for our daughter and a car big enough for all the luggage. They were helpful with any questions we had during our stay and were able to provide wonderful restaurant recommendations. The room was fantastic and everything was very clean. We walked in to a handwritten note welcoming us to the hotel and fully stocked fridge with complimentary beverages. The hotel is at the top of the hill so it’s a bit quieter at night (which we liked), but it does mean everything is a bit of a trek. We didn’t mind and the level of comfort we experienced here was wonderful. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were spacious, and it was nice being able to close the doors to the windows to create a blackout space for sleeping. The towels were large enough to cover a plus-size American body and the air conditioning worked exceptionally well. All the little extras that were included, like mini cookies with turn down, the welcome plate of fruit, and the handwritten welcome note, really put this over the top. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel for any travelers seeking comfort and convenience!

Great location. Nicely done room. Helpful staff. Nice kitchen with coffee machine but had to ask and wait for milk. Hotel is a bit hard to walk about due to cobble stones and stairs around. But that’s the area around there. On the flip side the food is amazing around.
