Returning to the hotel after 30 years and in very different circumstances, it was a stay which enabled some closure, but also saddened a little, as I found the building gloomy and unwelcoming, the grounds and parkland around it untidy and uncared-for. It was a noteworthy and useful base from which to explore however and even though the breakfast spread was uninspiring, there are numerous restaurants nearby for dinner. A hotel with a history which the owners may one day more overtly embrace and a resort not far from the airport which with further, considerable investment could be made more attractive and viable to overseas visitors to Sarajevo and its interesting environs.

Outdated hotel with mediocre cleanliness, insufficiently staffed. Often issues with hot water and irregular replacement of towels. Has a lot of potential but needs improvement.
