Room was amazing. Service was excellent. Hot tub was not working properly and breakfast setup was ridiculous. The waffle maker was setup square in the middle of the buffet causing major confusion and lineups.

Some great things about this hotel was the room itself. Super spacious, clean (except some of the dishes) and comfy. The staff was wonderful. The food was decent, typical hotel continental breakfast. The crummy part was the pool. There was a large black scum strip around the pool. And they had swimming lessons which we were not aware of, so we didnt get to use the pool the second night.

I was disappointed as her the swimming lessons that went on at the pool, so I couldn’t use the pool when I wanted to. Also, the hot tub was not working when the swimming lessons were going on. I have stayed at this hotel, many many times, and never run into this issue before. I do love the kitchenettes staff is amazing! Just call ahead to make sure you’re going to use the pool that there is supposed to be lessons.

If i could give our trip to this hotel a -star i would. Definitely will not be back. The pool was getting fixed which is why we booked this hotel. The hot tub was barely working there were no jets and luje warm. When we asked the maintenance guy he had no clues what to say other then thats how it works. The cleaning products smelled horrible. There was no wifi when we called down to get it fixed the maintenance guy had no clue how to fix it. We also found out they charge you everyday for wifi. There was construction beside the hotel so most of the parking stalls were taken by the workers. We had to ask why there was no room cleaning either as we were staying 2 nights we were told they only clean the second day or you have to request a room clean. Absolutely ridiculous to try and get towels even brought to the room. The whole experience was disappointing when you travel and expect to have a decent hotel experience.

Room service is every two days. Hot tub wasn’t that hot more luke warm. Pool was perfect temperature. Gym was good, two treadmills, elliptical machine, bench, free weights, yoga mat. Breakfast was awesome. Different meats every day. Staff were nice, room was good. If your room is near the freeway it can get loud at night.

The room was dirty and stinking. All the sinks in the room were blocked. Bed sheets had stains. Overall it was a nightmare stay at this place. I’ll never ever book a stay in this hotel. When I checked out I mentioned about all off these issue and the staff did not even apologize. Terrible experience.

Small hairs all over the pillows, as if someone had shaven right over the pillows. I called down to the front desk to change the bedding as I had already swapped rooms once due to a strong odour and my child gagging when we walked into the room. I felt asking for the bedding to be changed was the best solution as my child had already began to settle in. We left the room for a few hours to return and found only the top decorative pillow had been changed as when I lifted the blankets, the bed was full of small hairs yet again. Baseball team in the hotel for the last 2 nights of the stay, impossible to use the pool as the screams from the kids were absolutely horrible and there were multiple complaints made to the hotel staff. Ran out of several breakfast items and the breakfast area is too small for the amount of people staying here. I stay in the city for 2 weeks a month due to business and figured I would give this place a try due to having my children with me.. never again & definitely not living up to the Mariott name.

The rooms toilet had urine and toilet paper in it in check in, went to flush and it was clogged. So I let them know and bring a plunger they bring me a broken one. Not to mention the hairs in shower and garbage in bin? Oh and a broken fridge....I tried to unclog toilet on my OWN but no luck. So finally couldn't take anymore as I'm covered in toilet water and urine trying to unclog a toilet I didn't clog??!!! I demanded a new room which they did.

Was not like other Marriott I’ve previously stayed at. First room had been smoked in. Was supposed to be a non smoking room. I was moved to a new room. The other room was missing it’s inside curtains and the outside curtains had holes poked in them. Had to ask for towels both times we went to the pool area. The towel area was full of dirty towels and no clean towels. The stairwells are has several pop cans and cups. Every window the the building was full of hand prints. It’s a safe building but not up to Marriot standards.

Very disappointed with the quality of the hotel and service. Woken up multiple times in the night from screaming neighbours. Hotel staff seem less than concerned despite multiple people complaining and I got the feeling that this was a common occurrence. Room wasn't supplied with towels or sufficient bedding. Sheets had large holes in them along with large stains. Bathroom door couldn't close due to a warped door frame. I appreciate this isn't a 5 star hotel but don't think it's too much to have a reasonable night sleep in a clean and functional room. Would not recommend to anyone.

The staff were pleasant and the price was reasonable, however the facility maintenance and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. There was a musty smell in the room despite opening the window, the doors seemed to have a hard time opening and closing, the elevators were functioning questionably, air conditioning was in and out (luckily the windows could be opened). There did seem to be some chaos occurring during our stay with some other hotel guests (younger teens running rampant, issues with the pool), and newer staff - this possibly interfered with the ability to keep up with things that required service. Would stay there again if in a pinch but would not be hotel of choice in Edmonton.

Super clean hotel, friendly staff, easy check in and out. I do have food allergies so its really hard to eat at continental breakfasts. My husband said it was not the worst but not the best breakfast. But other than that its a 5☆

Property was OK, about average. AC had a loud noise which kept us up, plus it was not effectively chilling the room. The upsetting thing is that the hotel knew the AC had issues but withheld that information, put us in that room and declined to switch the room when we asked for it. We are guessing the room below ours complained about the noise since the maintenance guy showed up the next morning asking if he could fix the AC. He ended up “fixing” the AC noise but the AC still wasn’t chilling the room and blew warm air throughout. It was quite an uncomfortable stay.

After a family reunion, we stayed at this hotel for a night before traveling home. The hotel is clean and comfortable with a lovely suite that included a fully prepared kitchen and a bedroom. It faced the highway, so there was a good deal of traffic noise, but that is really only a minor issue that was rectified with ear plugs. The convenience of getting onto the road easily made up for that, too. Breakfast was decent and had nice fruit options. Overall, this is a good hotel.

The room smelled bad when we arrived, the walls are not sounproofed so you hear every noise, and a couple arguing very loudly in another room woke me up in the middle of the night and kept me awake. There was also a nasty looking cushion on the couch that I grabbed with gloves and threw in the closet. The breakfast buffet was underwhelming. There are tons of hotels in Edmonton, I'll find something else next time I'm here for work.

The water in our room’s bathroom would randomly switch from cold to extremely hot when using it. The heater in the room would not work unless we turned the temperature way up high! It’s a nice new hotel and the staff were friendly. The location is right when you enter into the city off the highway. Nice new area.

Do NOT book this hotel. We booked for a family weekend. We arrived at our room at 9:30pm. The hotel informed me they upgraded my room without asking. They moved us to a king suit. We needed 2 queen beds for our family of 4. They said they called but I didn’t answer my phone at 7:30pm and they gave my room away. They also took $180 from our credit card and I’ve been fighting for 2 weeks to get a refund still haven’t received my money back. This hotel is not a place I would ever book again. The manager doesn’t know how to operate a hotel. He can’t even see I was charged for a night at his hotel even after providing proof and he knows I didn’t stay there. Also who gives away a person room at 9:30pm. We were traveling and not in cell reception. I’m so glad the Hampton Hotel next door was accommodating and more affordable and less of a headache then this horrible hotel.
Do NOT book this hotel. We booked for a family weekend. We arrived at our room at 9:30pm. The hotel informed me they upgraded my room without asking. They moved us to a king suit. We needed 2 queen beds for our family of 4. They said they called but I didn’t answer my phone at 7:30pm and they gave my room away. They also took $180 from our credit card and I’ve been fighting for 2 weeks to get a refund still haven’t received my money back. This hotel is not a place I would ever book again. The manager doesn’t know how to operate a hotel. He can’t even see I was charged for a night at his hotel even after providing proof and he knows I didn’t stay there. Also who gives away a person room at 9:30pm. We were traveling and not in cell reception. I’m so glad the Hampton Hotel next door was accommodating and more affordable and less of a headache then this horrible hotel.

My booking confirmation says the continental breakfast is open until 10am, when really it closes at 930 am on weekdays. Only actually open until 10am on weekends. Awful stay. Staff doesn’t care

I have been at the location numerous times. I always had to disinfect, clean and I had made quite few complaints. However, since they have changed their management team, I would highly recommend this hotel. Everything is clean, awesome and sweet ladies at the front desk, and they always address my concerns promptly. Two thumbs up 👍 👍

We were excited for our stay in Edmonton and to stay at this hotel as we had stayed here before. I don’t know if management changed or what happened but things this time were terrible straight from check in. Be prepared to have your credit card have a hold on it for more than just $100, they put a hold on the room cost plus damage even when we stated we were paying debit. We got to the room and noticed the floors were dirty with hair all over them and the bedding and pillow cases had big stains on them, absolutely disgusting. Breakfast is your typical hotel breakfast with very limited options. The checkout went just as bad as check in as they were going to charge us more money then we reserved the room for, good thing we were on top of it or we would have been charged more. We also told them multiple times at check in that we were paying by debit and they still charged our credit card stating, “there was no note!” Talk about poor communication. This place seems like they could care less about making their customers happy. I think it’s fair to say we will not be staying here again. Do better!

This is a beautiful new hotel. We were disappointed in the service. No daily housekeeping, no take out garbage removal even when placed in hallway, shampoo/conditioner containers empty. The worst was we booked a king room and upon arrival they told us they had none and moved us to two bed room. When disappointed her only response was they won’t charge us as that room more expensive. I asked for a room with a bathtub, but the front desk staff didn’t even check and flatly said no. Later, when the whole hotel filled with smoke, there was no alarm or warning—we only knew because firefighters knocked on our door. She ignored guest requests and showed no care for safety. I seriously wonder if she followed any safety procedures at all. Totally unacceptable

Very disappointed; musty smell in corridors upon arrival and when entering the room. Bed was hard and pillows were the worst I've ever slept on. The AC/heater also wasn't the best. Pool had too much chlorine and the hot tub jets were not working. WIFI was a joke. We skipped breakfast based on the quality we had received. I don't recommend this hotel.

We have stayed here several times and always find the property clean, the staff friendly, and the room as expected and comfortable. We appreciate the kitchen space in the rooms and the privacy allowed by separate bedrooms when we travel with our children. The property is very easy to access due to its location and is close to many stores and services.

Amazing price for what you get. The full suite allowed us to save money and eat home cooked meals instead of eating out. They even have a BBQ they let guests use, slow cooker etc. Only cons were: 1. Breakfast options (included in stay) very limited for those with celiac. I was able to have yogurt or fruit. For those able they had waffles, oatmeal (not safe for celiac as not gf oats), sausages, eggs, toast, bagels etc. 2. The jets on the hot tub were not functional so was like sitting in a hot bath with other guests. I would definitely stay again though!

Rooms were clean, front staff were pleasant. The bed was horrible. It's time to replace that mattress (it's really ok to throw it out). Just looking at it, it was visibly warped and super hard. The breakfast was hit and miss. One day it was poorly done, the young fella spent more time on his phone than filling everything. You had to keep asking for things because everything was empty. The next day was amazing. The young lady was constantly cleaning and refilling everything. Nicely done!

After a family reunion, we stayed at this hotel for a night before traveling home. The hotel is clean and comfortable with a lovely suite that included a fully prepared kitchen and a bedroom. It faced the highway, so there was a good deal of traffic noise, but that is really only a minor issue that was rectified with ear plugs. I had stayed at this hotel one other time, a couple of years ago. Staff was friendly and available. It was a clean room, and I had no real issues with anything that I needed during the stay. The water had small bits of sand and dirt in the corners of the pool, and unfortunately the hot tub was not working properly, even though there had been renovations done to the pool room recently. The hot tub did not work the last time I visited as well, so that was upsetting. Breakfast was good.
