Great view, room was located on 38th floor overlooking the Shanghai skyline and river. Spacious and comfortable, wonderful staff especially Martin in the kitchen table offering recommendations of the area. Delicious food with a massive selection at the breakfast buffet. Wonderful spa facilities with separate male/female Wet rooms and amazing gym equipment

Beautiful view from the room. We got the big bed which was 3M by 2M and could sleep my whole family of four. Pool was amazing with skyline in the background. Staff was super friendly. Room was very quiet and comfortable. Our family really enjoyed it and would love to stay there again!

One of the best hotels in Shanghai. Upon arrival staff is there to help with any request, rooms are large and view is phenomenal. The hotel amenities are the best - I love the pool view, the change rooms, the gym is so clean and the room service is yum! Will always stay here when staying at The Bund. 10/10 Thank you Team :)

I went to the swimming pool and found a people smoking in the pool area. Actually, this people walked and smoked from the left of the pool to the right but no staff members stopped him. As he walked closer and closer to me with his cigarette, we asked help from a lifeguard in the pool. He invited the smoker to smoke in other pool areas (in fact, the pool area was non-smoking area). Afterwards, the smoker started harassing me by foul languages (including racism content) with threatening gestures around 2 meters away from me. I was scared and asked the lifeguard to assist but he ignored my request. The lifeguard waived his hands and asked me to leave in an impolite way. Then I approached another staff and asked to talk to his manager but no one came after nearly 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, no one came and I left the pool. A very bad experience. The hotel basically had no ability to protect hotel guests’ safety and enjoyment.

The room felt very spacious with window seating and a small dining table. The quality sound system allowed us to stream audio from our phone, unfortunately the TV did not support streaming. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the functionality of an automated toilet. The hotel facilities were also very good. The breakfast has a vast buffet selection, although some of the traditional items (particularly the eggs) did not retain their heat very well. The service was very attentive, we were able to check-in early (thank you!) and daily cleaning was always completed in the time that we were out each day. The outdoor bar overlooking Pudong City has great views of the city lights and even the tacos were yum! The North Bund area is a little quieter but the hotel is connected to a shopping mall with some good dining options as well as direct access to the metro. Would certainly stay again when next in Shanghai.

Fantastic hotel with cool interior design and a magnificent view from the room, also a great outdoor pool with unbroken view of the city. The atmosphere of the hotel is just what you’d expect from a W hotel. Also has a perfect walking distance to Bund for nice morning runs or evening strolls.

Absolutely loved our stay here, the view from our room was amazing. The whole staff is extremely helpful from the moment you arrive till the day you check out, the small details really made our stay memorable, there is someone always near to help you with anything that you need. The area is great near tons of shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, north bund park. Area is safe , clean, absolutely worth the price. Rooms are very modern and you have everything you could possibly need. The breakfast was also great lots of variety and they do change it up everyday. Highly recommend this hotel. Loved the birthday treat they left in my room too !

I would like to give special mention to their concierge team, especially Timmy who went over and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing but magical from start to finish the W Shanghai is top-tier They saw to our every single wish and gave us a vacation to remember forever. Absolutely loved our stay here, the view from our room was amazing. The whole staff is extremely helpful from the moment you arrive till the day you check out, the small details really made our stay memorable, there is someone always near to help you with anything that you need. The area is great near tons of shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, north bund park. Area is safe , clean, absolutely worth the price. Rooms are very modern and you have everything you could possibly need. The breakfast was also great lots of variety and they do change it up everyday. Highly recommend this hotel. Loved the birthday treat they left in my room too !

W Shanghai is our first stop of our winter vacation in China. Upon arrival at the hotel, everyone, everything, everywhere around the hotel was amazing. Here are some highlights: 1.Great service and staff members I’d like to send our thanks to Jay who upgraded our room upon our Check in. He also sent a warm message of greeting card along with a bottle of wine, sweets and fruit to our room. The porters were very helpful and efficient upon arrival and departure too. They had all our luggage delivered to our room right after we checked in. And called taxi and loaded our luggages as soon as we checked out. 2.Delicious and tasty Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day breakfast The dinner we reserved at YEN restaurant for Christmas Eve included 10 courses/dishes plus an unlimited special Tea. Each course was not only tasty, but also a great looking and was complied with Christmas theme. It should be rated Michelin certified Stars. 3.Comfortable amenities in the room The room not only has a stunning view on the Bund, but also equipped with 2 smart toilets, 3 different kinds of shower heads in a roomy walk-in shower room. Overall, our experience at W Shanghai was phenomenal. It’s definitely a great keepsake for us for many years. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for 5 stars hotel and beyond at Shanghai.

This is a concept hotel with Chinese 5*standards and also benefits an amazing top floor bund view if you select a river view with a higher floor. However the very lengthy check in time, poor management service, limited lifts for 42 floors of rooms. We also had to queue for our breakfast. (During our stay) Lobby constantly uncomfortably crowded and busy. Personally we think this is a Chinese 5* hotel rather than Marriott chain standard. Not recommended for families

We had a great long weekend here. A perfect location to start the day exploring the City from. The view from the room was just amazing with the whole skyline. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Great Pool area and the Breakfast had everything you could wish for.

We stayed for 8 nights in a corner room (city views) on the 38th floor. The room had a funky layout including a bath with a view. The room felt very spacious with window seating and a small dining table. The quality sound system allowed us to stream audio from our phone, unfortunately the TV did not support streaming. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the functionality of an automated toilet. The hotel facilities were also very good. The breakfast has a vast buffet selection, although some of the traditional items (particularly the eggs) did not retain their heat very well. The gym is the best I have seen (and used) in any hotel I’ve stayed. The service was very attentive, we were able to check-in early (thank you!) and daily cleaning was always completed in the time that we were out each day. The outdoor bar overlooking Pudong City has great views of the city lights and even the tacos were yum! The North Bund area is a little quieter but the hotel is connected to a shopping mall with some good dining options as well as direct access to the metro. Would certainly stay again when next in Shanghai.

Fantastic hotel with cool interior design and a magnificent view from the room, also a great outdoor pool with unbroken view of the city. The atmosphere of the hotel is just what you’d expect from a W hotel. Also has a perfect walking distance to Bund for nice morning runs or evening strolls.

We sat around the outdoor pool for a couple of hours, only negative is they needed more sun loungers and ones of better quality. Overall a great hotel.

The hotel rooms and hotel staff are normal 5 star. However, the hotel restaurant “The Kitchen” is a shame on the property. The food is fine. The problem is completely the service. The staff is completely untrained in how to serve in a fine dining restaurant. Avoid The Kitchen.

The hotel was just at a different class compare to the ones that I have stayed in the last two weeks at the more rural cities or towns. From the point where you step in, the staff was excellent and the food was just spoilt for choice. Room was clean, nice and view of the bund made it special. I would highly recommend this hotel.
