It is an older property. Casino was small with only video gambling. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were dated but they were big, clean and comfortable.

We booked this property just because it said it had a pool and we were looking for a hotel with something family friendly during our travel for our child to get out all his energy after a long car ride. We were very disappointed to find the pool dirty and full of bugs. When my husband looked up the property on google they said the pool was closed for the season. We would have stayed somewhere else had we known. On the plus side the front desk was friendly and accomodating.

Only thing I didn't like about the property was the potholes as I was coming out. I had to wait for another vehicle to go by so I could get in that lane to avoid the potholes in my outgoing lane. Other than that, the property was good.

Older casino hotel but fairly quiet. Very smoky though. Our room was a non smoking room but it still smelled smoky. Our room was dark. It was an accessible room but the light switch in the bathroom was across the room. The casino is very small and really smoky. Limited dining. We went to the restaurant for coffee and dessert and they were out of everything except ice cream.

Needs updating. Bathroom was dirty. Not enough towels. Had to walk through smoky casino to get to restaurant. Left a Kindle e-reader in the room accidentally and was probably stolen, not turned in to the front desk. Manager promised to "look into it" and hasn't contacted us. Did not like this motel at all.

Toilet not flushing very well. Drain in shower was very slow to drain. The power went out Twice and you don't have a generator? Come on! Everyone supposed to sit around in the dark I guess! This place needs serious renovations.

Room was in dire need of refurbishing, carpet was filthy, walls were dirty, shower drain was broken, shampoo stains on shower walls which could have been easily cleaned prior to our checking in, past occupants garbage underneath dresser. Staff was very friendly but would definitely not recommend hotel due to the the poor condition of rooms.

Bath tub took 1.5 hours to drain. And they rented the room knowing full well that it was broken, because when I called the rude front desk.. "O that room..." They\'re were also these weird green bugs in the curtains, on the chairs and carpet. Never Again.

I had to book another hotel because of trash and dust under bed and excessive dog hair on carpet (not from us!) The room could’ve been nice had it been cleaned/ at least vacuumed! It had a charm, albeit an old school charm. It was spacious. The front desk offered to reduce a charge but no room accommodation that matched our “premium” price and booking agreement was offered or granted. There’s an issue with what we booked and what we got. The people in the area/-some in same hotels, some in other hotels— the neighbors were very helpful, which I thought was sweet The neighbors helped us when hotel staff could not In any case, we left for another hotel that night: a huge inconvenience

We made the reservation only a few hours in advance and checked in late as we’d been driving all day. Christy (sp?) at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was also large and bright and it was nice to shower off after a long, hot drive through NV.

It was okay. The room wasn't in especially good repair, there were only electrical outlets by one side of the bed, the reception area reeked of cigarette smoke, there were only three (small) pillows for two people, there was no extra blanket, and the fridge was apparently set to freezer temperature -- as we learned when we got up in the morning and found our food all frozen. The wifi was weak and unreliable. On the plus side, the location is convenient and the room seemed pretty clean.

Some of the finest front desk staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Lisa did an amazing job. The place itself is on the older side, but really is immaculately cleaned. Would recommend a stay on that alone. The place can get a little noisy when the miners fire up their 2500’s and head in to work early in the AM, but that’s to be expected in a mining town.

Overall not a bad place to stay. Room was clean, plenty of parking and Security seemed to be on it and was checking the parking lot which was good to see. There were some strange and weird people walking around, but that’s really any casino on a Saturday night, and security seemed to deal with them and I had no issues. The front desk staff were all really nice and friendly. The restaurant and bar were great, filled with nice staff and the service was quick. I would recommend staying here if your passing through Elko and need an affordable place.

House keeping never came into my room for the 3 night stay until early the morning I was sleeping in before checking out. Tapping on the door with their key card 3 times then instantly opened my door.

Alise was so incredible at check in. She was wonderfully kind and helpful….I can’t say enough about her and we will come back here for many reasons…large clean rooms, great location, perfect midpoint stop for our travel from CA to ID……but Alise would be another reason for us to stay here again!

The exterior is a little deceiving based on my first impression i didn't expect the room to be so clean. There was an issue with the first room they gave me in that the key didn't work. They said it was because i demagnitized the key. Not the case when maintenance couldn't open it with their master key. Twenty minutes later and a different room all was good. Front desk, security, and maintenance all very nice and accomidating when i requested a first floor room when i asked at check in. Wasn't crazy about the fact the smoke alarm had been removed from the room. All in all i would stay there again.

Issues with checking into the room. They could not find my reservation. Waited an hour to finally get checked in. Room was clean but dated. The price was excellent. No issues with with my stay other then the check in process. 8 out of 10.

Gold Country used to be my #1 choice when staying in Elko, but the property seems to be running down. Ceilings are falling in, carpets badly stained, wallpaper peeling, light fixtures damaged and the parking lot is full of holes. Staff attempted to charge "fees" when I had prepaid online and it said my price included the fees.

My 2nd time staying here with my cat on a cross-country drive. The staff are friendly and the room is spacious. It's a bit shabby (let's say down-to-earth), but clean and an incredible value for the no-fuss traveler. I felt safe and comfortable and was in walking distance of various food and a grocery store.

They charge you and extra 15dollars when you get there. Food is not any good anymore. Best to skip their diner and walk down to taco John’s or the pizza place or something.

Loud loud fire alarm that just would not stop. Employees said it happens all the time. Ouch. We have kind of had it with this place. The food is terrible now. Oh. They add an extra 15 fee when you get there. If things like that make your head explode do not stay here. I ment to complain to Expedia because I think it is against their rules but I forgot all about this place.

They have serious maintenance issues. I had to change rooms cause the TV in the original room did not work. Two of three pieces aerobic exercise equipment were broken. Restaurant was of marginal quality, but a little high on price given the quality.
