The staff was friendly. The pool was clean and the pool bathroom was clean and well stocked at all times. I was disappointed that the jacuzzi was broken. Also there was a broken table on the side of the pool that made the area look unkept. The pool deck would look prettier with some greenery like tropical trees/plants. I liked the front patio and the lobby was spotless and smelled like vanilla cake. The rooms were clean and well stocked. The beds and pillows were comfortable but I think the comforters are too narrow for queen sized beds. I like that the room had a wall divider.

I like that was pet friendly. The customer service was excellent. Hotel nice and clean including the pool. It has a gym and laundry. Free breakfast that could be better. Easy parking and felt safe day and night. Just three minutes drive to Nokomis Beach. Pillows and mattress could be better too.

Our second visit to this area. Hotel was very good with lovely pool. Room clean and quiet. Breakfast was good although not a lot of choice.

Sweet location, close to everything. Great helpful staff. Hot tub and pool were clean and with long hours.

Staff very friendly. Pool to small for amount of rooms! My granddaughter and daughter unable to go into do to so full! I was on the road side and was noisey, but my daugher across hall much more quite.! WAs nice and clean.

Every associate we interacted with met us with a smile, a hello and made eye contact with us. They were very accommodating & helpful. The rooms were large, beds very comfortable & clean. The entire property was clean and inviting. The kids loved the pool area. We will definitely be using this location for future stays.

Good location, and nice hotel layout. The front desk staff was very efficient, and friendly. Check in was a breeze, however, once we walked to our room it was filthy. The amount of dust accumulated in the kitchenette area was appalling. This isn’t just dust missed in one cleaning. This is weeks of improper cleaning. The area that housed the glass not only had a thick layer of dust, but had a red sticky substance. The countertops had ants, and there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher. I definitely would choose another hotel if ever in the area again.

We have been here four times already and each time the hotel got worse and worse.The prices became higher and the service worse. There are never clean towels for the pool. Since you have to beg for towels from the receptionist who is not always there and you have to look for them. Breakfast selection is very small.We arrived 20 minutes before the end of breakfast and asked for an omelette, which was already finished, but the kitchen worker told us that the omelette would take 30 minutes to prepare and he would not cook it because we arrived too late. I don’t understand why, having arrived at the time allotted for breakfast, we could not get a full breakfast.There was often no coffee in the coffee maker and each time you had to ask for it to be brewed again. There were bags of garbage in the corridors and no one was in a hurry to take them out from 6 pm until 11 am.Bags of garbage stood right next to the elevator and the cleaners walked past it from 6 pm to 11 am and didn’t even pick it up. It all gave off an unpleasant smell.After the New Year, the workers took out the air from the inflatable Santa Claus and some other New Year's decorations, and it all stood in the hall for several days along with empty cups on the armchairs in the hall.The main disappointment was that we found a huge beetle cockroach in our bathroom and told the manager about it, o6a replied that the next day someone would treat the room with bug repellent, but no one showed up. The staff was extremely nice, they gave us good recommendations on restaurants and even gave me a little bag of goodie’s for my birthday. Loved that they had beach stuff that you could check out for the day. Everything was great except the trash was overflowing sometimes, not emptied enough,the can out by the pool was heaping and had the same beer case in it the next afternoon. the bathroom in the lobby had a ring in the toilet like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while.

Need to be better about cleaning rooms when they do clean, when we checked in our room the bar of soap from other people before us was still in shower

Clean, easy check in

We didn't have hot water in the sink. We had minimal hot water in the shower. We had to reset the fuse multiple times during our stay. And I room was never cleaned. Very poor management.

The desk and cafe staff were extremely accommodating. Professional and very courteous. However, the walls are paper thin and we had a crying baby, a yapping dog and could hear the conversation and movements in the next room. Also, our room smelled like dirty feet. We could hear the a/c compressors in the surrounding rooms going on and off constantly all night. Sorry to report a very sleepless 4 night stay.

Room was clean and spacious.

Spacious rooms and nicely decorated for Christmas. Roomy and clean bathroom. Only thing negative is there is not great sound insulation so you hear ppl in the hall. There is a wall thermostat and a kitchen with dishwasher and full refrig so that’s nice. Parking is easy and free. Overall great because it is only a mile from the beach. Friendly staff!

The mattress was very uncomfortable and there was a little mold in the walk-in shower. The room size and storage were great.

The room was excellent - actually outstanding. Clean and attractive. Up to date microwave, frig, etc. Lots of room. Bed extremely comfortable. We would definately stay here again. Outstanding place.

Overall, my stay was enjoyable. The front desk staff—especially the ladies who helped us—were incredibly accommodating and made sure we had two connecting rooms, which was a huge help for our group. After a day at the beach, we ran into some issues with the shower. The water pressure was low, and water was coming out of both the tub faucet and the showerhead simultaneously. The shower gel hadn’t been refilled, and the drain wasn’t working properly. I imagine being so close to the beach means they deal with a lot of sand and seaweed in the plumbing, so it’s understandable—but still worth noting. Breakfast was good, and despite the hiccups, it wasn’t a bad day at all. I appreciated the hospitality and wouldn’t mind staying again with a few maintenance tweaks.

Our stay was wonderful. The staff was incredibly nice and friendly. Breakfast was great. Room was clean, spacious, snd comfortable. My only complaint was the shower water pressure, I felt like I could not get the shampoo or sand from the beach out of my hair. It could have just been our room though and would not let that keep me from staying there again.

Booked 2 rooms together. wanted joined rooms. Not available. No body lotion and shampoo in the room. Called front desk and they told me to come get it. Traveling with kids not possible to just leave and get it. Is this not a thing anymore where hotel staff brings you items promised in the room?

I'm a frequent business traveler, spending around 150-200 days in hotels each year. During the Memorial Day holiday weekend, I took my family to Sarasota and booked a few days at the Home2 Suites. In general, it is a hotel that I like due to its amenities and room size. However, my stay was marked by a few issues, mainly poor customer service. First, I was chased in the parking lot because I was taking one of their beach towels to the beach. This seems simple to fix: just ask for a deposit and if the towels are not returned, charge the full cost. Not to say that I was paying more than 200 dollars per night. The second issue occurred on my last night. My family booked a canoe excursion on the last day from 9:00 to 11:00, and I asked the front desk in the evening if it was possible to do a late checkout (from 11:00 to noon). This request did not seem like a big deal, as they had no other customers scheduled for late checkout. I witnessed one attendant putting my name down, but another whispered to not do it as it was restricted to Hilton Honors members and she wasn't in the mood to help me out. While I am a Hilton Honors member, I had booked with Hotels.com due to discounts applied to my reservation. I also noticed how they seemed annoyed by customers asking for small favors while I was downstairs having breakfast and waiting to leave on my last day. Therefore, if you ask me, try the Holiday Inn across the street.

Staff is great and accommodating!

The front desk, breakfast and housekeeping staff were all friendly and professional. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and food restocked after several sports teams came through and cleaned them out. Room clean. The only upgrade we would suggest is better pillows. We will definitely be back.

Front desk staff rude & helpless

Absolutely disgraceful! We booked a two-bed room through Expedia, fully confirmed. After a 3-hour drive, we arrived late at night only to be met by rude, indifferent, and completely incompetent front desk staff. They did not honor our reservation and had no rooms available. No apology, no solution, no effort to assist. We were forced to drive another 3 hours at 11:00 PM, putting our safety at risk. It’s unbelievable that a hotel chain would allow such negligence and lack of professionalism! I wouldn’t recommend Home2 Suites Venice, Florida even if it were free. Stay away if you expect decent service or basic respect!

Great stay. Location is great. Beach is less than 1 mile away. Straight shot to the beach parking. Grocery store, ice cream shop, all near by. Excellent hotel. Clean, modern, free breakfast. Definitely recommend.

Clean room, plenty of space, and great breakfast

Stayed 5 nights. Very friendly staff and very clean. I was greeted often in passing and almost always saw someone who was keeping things tidy. Great breakfast with different options everyday. Only complaint I have is that the waffle batter always ran out and it never gets refilled. The kids love waffles. Pool was nice. Close to a few different beaches. Room was spacious with a kitchen. Beds were comfy. But toilet paper was very thin. I’ll say again, everyone showed great hospitality. From a clerk behind the desk to a cleaning person with a cart. If there was anything we needed they were happy to help. We would definitely stay here again.

I’ve stayed at Home2 Suites several times before and always had good experiences, but unfortunately this time was very disappointing. The pillow was terrible—tiny and extremely uncomfortable, which made it hard to get a good night’s sleep. Also, breakfast is supposed to run until 9 AM, but by 8:30 there was barely anything left and no refills were made. To make matters worse, the hotel was full and there was only one waffle machine working, which created long lines and a frustrating experience. I had even recommended this hotel to friends who stayed with me—and I was embarrassed by the experience. Sadly, I won’t be recommending this hotel anymore. I really hope they take these concerns seriously.

Breakfast was not good and didn't like the room much

Homes2 is a great place to stay. Very clean, super nice, no issues. The only constructive feedback would be to have real sausage available everyday. Sun and Mon were only vegan options and limited my options. Room was clean, pool was comfortable, and the overall breakfast is very filling.

I recently stayed at Home2 Nokomis. While the hotel offers clean, spacious rooms and a convenient location close to Nokomis Beach, the breakfast service was a major disappointment. The biggest issue was the chaotic breakfast setup. There was no restocking of food or utensils, even though many guests were still trying to eat. To make matters worse, breakfast ends absurdly early at 9:00 AM, unlike most hotels of the same category that usually serve until 10:00 AM. This created unnecessary stress and frustration. The staff in charge of breakfast was inattentive and unhelpful, which only made the experience worse. On the positive side, the hotel has a great location, a pleasant and well-maintained pool area, and free, ample parking. These are definitely pluses. Overall, the hotel has potential, but it urgently needs to improve its breakfast operations—both in terms of logistics and service. Until then, I would not recommend it to guests who value a relaxed and properly managed morning meal.

Breakfast should have been a bit later in the weekend 9:30-10am… 9am is too soon
