Super 8 Alexandria by Wyndham

I'm not staying here again, I didn't like you guys charge for Parking, this hotel was my first option when traveling to Virginia, next time I'll pick another one with FREE parking.

I booked 1 night through Expedia non smoking room and parking facilities.. soon I arrived .. I Ben charged for paring 5 dollar and 10 dollars extra for non smoking room that’s terrible

the super 8 office is apparently just storage now, went to the wrong side first, I had to provide credit card and license plate number again in person despite doing so during "online check-in", then I learned you have to pay extra for a non-smoking room, and also pay extra to park the car, so over all, feels like a huge grift, like I was just scammed to be here. if I wanted to spend $100 a night for a room that doesn't stink like an ashtray and pay for unsecured parking I wouldn't be at a super 8

Even though it said free parking they charged for it. If you want your room cleaned and fresh towels they charged for it. They even charged for their so called continental breakfast, which was pathetic. The beds were hard as the floor. The pillows were all shredded .i actually went out and purchased pillows so we could have one to sleep on. The staff acted like we were an annoyance to them.

Room was very good. It seems like it has recently been remodled. The ELEVATOR is another matter. No sign it gets inspected and it looks and act like it may stop working any moment.

It was an amazing stay. My only complaint was just the price of parking.

Liked it had hardwood vs carpet, however didn't like they didn't have lower level disabled rooms. Elevator was dirty, bodily waste smelling, and unsafe

Disgusting, no pool. Elevater is broken. Housekeeping never gave me more towels. Lamps inside room didnt work. No refrigerator or microwave.

The add said they had a pool and there was none. The add said it included breakfast and the photo showed a full breakfast bar and they only offered pre wrapped muffins that had been crushed , juice , coffee and tea bags but no hot water and only offered till 7:00 am . Thought I would see about a price adjustment on checkout . But they were under staffed at the checkout so after a 30 minute wait I gave up and just left the key card

Price is affordable, bed was good. But the room was smelling moldy even after they clean. Shower tap was too slow. Other than that everything was okay.

If I’m ever down that way again, I would definitely rebook here. One of the things I appreciated most is how serious they are about their no smoking policy. I cannot stand the smell of nasty old hotel rooms, they are so serious about their no smoking policy that the place smelt like it was just built the day before. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The only issue we had was I think there was a wedding party there or something on the second floor above us and it sounded like they were jumping up and down on the floor all night. Thankfully, my kids were able to sleep. I pretty much didn’t sleep at all, but I was so impressed with the cleanliness, I don’t think I’ve ever been in a last-minute booking place that was clean like this. You couldn’t find a drop of dirt anywhere. Not a spec. And when I put the AC on because it happened to be in unusually warm day, you didn’t get that stinky moldy mildew smell that some of them produce. We walked across the main road to get some dinner, that was a little sketchy because it’s a very busy highway, but there are crosswalks and cross lights and the drivers seemed to respect them. We had an excellent dinner at the Asian buffet across the street. Check out was as easy as could be. I would recommend to anyone who needed to stay in the area, that this is an excellent, clean, friendly and safe place.

Clean property. They recently updated the rooms and they look better. I’d stay here again.

The hotel room was very dirty, especially the floor, I asked them to clean it, but no one went there. We had to wear flip flops all the time.

Saw some bugs

The room was set up really cute but was not completely clean the floor was dirty black in areas. There was razor clipping on soap dish in shower soap caddy tv had not a good signal kept freezing. Alarm clock was set that didn’t realize till it went off at 800 am and woke up up and no refrigerator. I know you get what you pay for but. Was disappointed.

It was disgusting, there was feces on the toilet . Stains on the mattress and countertops not wiped .’when I called in to let them know the receptionist told me that it wasn’t possible bc they have head of maintenance who check it before giving access to visitors. I took pictures and still she told how me how will she know that it was there before I got there . I will never stay here again. And I came a long way on a road trip .

No the best hotel! The room smell like mold

There were roaches which I recoderd. The TV was extremely distored every channel. The guy at check in was super slow. There was a 100.00 deposit at the desk that I was totally unaware of. The maid put me out the room at 11:03. The room was below satisfactory. Never again!

So we got there and the lady was really nice and didn’t realized we paid online. Once we got to our hotel room and we put our stuff down, there was a roach crawling in the sink and it disappeared before I could kill it. The sink granite was also severely cracked. The floor didn’t look swept neither. The most surprising part was there wasn’t any signs of bedbugs. I’ve stayed at plenty of Super 8 before and they have been good/amazing. This was the worst one. We never said anything because we drove a decent amount away and was tired and hungry.

The air conditioning of the neighboring room seemed to be on full blast all night making some noise. Don't think anyone was in the room.

Property is in poor shape. Multiple areas of construction are present. TV service is very bad. It often freezes and the picture on the tv is of very poor quality when it is working.

The profile said that a Metro station was a 10 minute walk away. It was more than 2 miles, through industrial zones. That, and the TV just barely worked, buffering literally every ten seconds. I will pay more to stay somewhere else next time.

Wifi was slow or didn't work, tv barely got a picture. Room was clean enough. Breakfast was only a muffin and coffee.

Noisy ,,very busy street

The room was clean, in contrast to the down-at-the-heels look of the place. We were surprised to be informed at the desk that there was no refrigerator or microwave. Working the shower was tricky.

It was sufficient as a place to stay and close to DC. Disadvantage that there was no coffee maker or refrigerator in room. Also the safe in the room did not work.

Stay was generally very good, rooms were clean but lacking fridge and microwave.

For the price it was great! Front desk and housekeeping staff were nice and helpful. Area was quiet. Only thing is this was the first place I've been to that didnt have a microwave

Everybody very friendly The manager was walking around in the morning so even if something went wrong, is nice to have somebody that cares There is always a Karen around

Front desk put us in a wrong room already occupied by guest. Terribly bad.

The manager was very friendly and helped us change our booking when we decided to shorten our stay.

Staff were respectful .

When I for arrived to check in, there was 2 women and 1 man at the desk. The 2 women were conversing with another women(standing beside me), who had just gotten off of work. I stood there patiently and just smiled at them. Finally I was able to check in. That’s when they informed me that there was an extra $50 fee that would be immediately reversed back to my card upon check out, I paid it. Once I checked out they then informed me that the $50 would go back on my card. 2 days later I called they said they returned it and to just be patient. The next day I called again they were very vague about it and brushed me off. I called again the next day, and once I gave the ‘em my name they hung up on me. I called back 3 times in a row and they never answered for me. I do not recommend anyone going to the Super 8bat Wyndham motel in Alexandria VA in Bragg st. They’re rude

I was paid 50 dollars in deposit and they never give to me the money back, and that’s so sad!

There is not wifi and the staff doesn’t help with that. I had my room and suddenly like at midnight somebody was trying to enter to my room, I was alone and I freaked out, at the front desk, they gave the wrong room to another person and they marked me with a different room number! The shower’s curtains were too short and all the water was just floating on the floor of the bathroom and close to my bed.

The place is near resto, grocery store and bus stop. Just 10mins drive from the National Mall and 20 mins away from Old Town Alexandria.

Good experience. I recommend not putting the coffee maker and cups right next to the sink, even though it’s technically separate from the bathroom (tub and toilet). Room was clean and location is great, lots of stores and restaurants nearby, but can be a busy area. Would stay here again.

Center for everything which is convenient

Close to downtown DC and surrounding areas! Plenty of food options and markets that are walking distance

Property was clean, reasonably priced, and less than 10 minutes from the Metro into DC. There is a shopping plaza less than a 5-minute walk away that had numerous dining options. I didn't care for the leaf blower outside the door a few minutes past 7 AM this past Monday though.

The motel is located very close to the Van Dorn Metro station, so very convenient when it came to going to the city. The room was very clean and looked well maintained. The staff were very professional and quick with both check-in, and check-out, and the housekeeping was doing great in keeping the grounds looking clean. Will be returning here for our next DC trip, as we were very pleased.

Clean and comfortable room. Hotel is located walking distance to many stores, restaurants and public transportation. My only gripe is that their “Free Breakfast” was substandard compared to similar priced hotels that I have stayed at.

Overall, our stay was fine. The hotel is not very new and not perfectly clean, but it felt cozy and had everything we needed. The fridge with freezer was a big plus, and there was plenty of space in the room. The shower had great pressure, we really appreciated that. There was a coffee maker, but unfortunately, they only gave us three coffee packs on the first day and didn’t replenish them, so we couldn't use it later. Housekeeping came almost every day, which was nice. Breakfast ends at 9 AM,we went to sleep late and often missed it. It would be great if breakfast hours were extended to 9:30 or 10. We only had it once, mostly cereal, milk, and bread. I really missed having good coffee in the morning and ended up buying it elsewhere. Still, overall, it was a decent experience and a comfortable place to stay.

Guy checking me in was on his phone talking his native language so i waited for him to finish. Apparently he was also trying to check me in. Kind of unprofessional. Room was nice and clean. Slept very well. Probably need to expand the muffin selection and i had to ask 5 times to make more coffee.
