Nice Hotel! Fairly close to downtown and close to History. We went to a concert at History and this was the closest hotel. We loved the Rooftop restaurant and enjoyed the view, food and service. The room was clean and had a nice updated bathroom. The bed was so comfortable. Convenient location with lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. There is a Green P parking lot right across the street. It was about $30 for overnight parking. I would stay here again.

Great hotel, wonderfully restored, yet very modern. The roof top bar is extraordinary. Easy walking distance to great restaurants & sites. Right on the public bus lines so when we tired of walking all day, we'd hop on a bus right back to the hotel.

We always love staying here, inly thing that came to a surprise is that the few parking spots they have, they niw charge for! Ends up being almost 35$ for 1 night. That was the only disappointing thing, as it used to be free.

One of the three reataurants seemed to be permanently closed. The downstairs bistro had very overpriced, mediocre breakfast options and terrible service. The upstairs restaurant had a lot of snacks, but no substantial dinner options. The room (3rd floor) was claustrophobic with a very small window up by the ceiling - it felt like you were in a basement. Unfortunately, its the only hotel option in that part of the city.

This is the second time we have stayed here and overall like it and the neighborhood. Biggest frustration being that one of the biggest amenities of staying at this hotel is the rooftop bar with a view. We were notified about 24 hours before our check in that the rooftop was closed for private events for both nights of our stay with no accommodation made to the guests who were staying there. We were staying for my husbands bday and had so we found this frustrating and feel it could have been handled better.

Our stay was disappointing on so many levels. The room was dreary and dark. The windows were small and filthy. There was mold in the shower. A kettle and instant coffee is NOT coffee in the room. (Their offer of a french press disappointed too.) The walls are so thin that we were woken up by the phone ringing in the next room. We also got to hear their conversation! The neighbourhood is still in transition. A walk down Queen Street on Saturday morning involved side stepping the sleeping homeless. The neighbourhood smelled of Marijuana, garbage and urine! We can't recommend the hotel.

Stayed for 5 nights. Staff were great! The hotel is located not far from downtown. Very walkable location and the streetcar stops right outside. Room was quiet but could have been a bit cleaner: dust and crumbs in corners and under the bed. We had a view of the dog park next door, which was entertaining. Rooftop bar has a great view of the city. Would stay again.

For the price, the room was small and lacking overall. But particularly, stupid little tables next to the bed and no space in the bath room to set out toiletries. Put up some shelves. Small desk and single small chair were insufficient. Again for the price. If we had paid half, we would have expected these conditions.

A funky hotel with a record player in every room. The rooms also included a noise machine, which is great if you're used to sleeping with a fan on. There was a wedding happening on my first night, and because I was on the 6th floor (right below the 7th where the wedding was happening) there was quite a bit of noise. The front desk was extremely accommodating and because there was another room available, they moved me down to the second floor, which I appreciated. The location is great with easy access to the bus and within walking distance to a variety of restaurants.

We were downgraded from a room with a terrace to one without with no price adjustment, our TV did not work properly and was not resolved despite several requests. Noisy guests until 2am. Basement style windows. Quality did not match the price.

Great boutique hotel. Rooms nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. Bed and pillows very comfy. Only downfall is HVAC system is loud. Bring earplugs bid you’re a light sleeper. Bistro and rooftop patio both have great service and menu options. Totally recommend this hotel! Will come back.

Amazing historic hotel. While our in room record player didn’t work, everything else was spectacular. Loved the rooftop restaurant and the free bottle of wine. I will say this, the terrace view rooms are a bit of a waste, because there isn’t a view of anything other than a brick wall.

My friends and I went to Toronto for a girls weekend and loved our stay at the Broadview. The staff was friendly, attentive and welcoming. There is a bistro with a coffee shop and a rooftop restaurant and bar with amazing views of the city. The room was lovely and clean, with a complimentary bottle of wine. The record player was a bonus.

This was by second time staying at The Broadview and I was not as happy with this stay as the last. We arrived about an hour and a half before check in. We waited about 15 minutes before someone at the front desk was available. Once someone else came to the desk to help us she greeted us by saying “are you waiting here for something?”. I explained we were arrived an hour and a half early and wanted to pay for parking and see if there was a chance for early check in. There was no early check in available, they ended up messaging us 5 minutes before check in time to notify us our room was ready. The back parking lot is pretty close to the hotel and the price isn’t bad. We stayed in a room with a king bed and a pull out couch (there were 4 of us staying). It’s too bad they don’t have options for rooms with 2 beds. The pull out couch was what you would expect, not comfortable. They supply extra bedding (a top sheet, a light duvet, and one extra pillow). We would have appreciated more bedding options like a second pillow or a second sheet for the bed. We loved the idea of an in room record player. And the first time I stayed here we had found a couple records provided by the hotel we were interested in. This time, the record selection was not great. There are lots of duplicates of records in the collection. Most were older records, which is fine but it would have been nice to have a mix of old and new available. There were a couple we thought we would enjoy but when we pulled

The rooms were extremely clean, the air conditioning worked remarkably and the staff was outstanding. Extremely friendly and sharing information about the hotel. We ordered room service a couple times and it was very good. The only negative I would say is parking and the ability to load and unload your bags. Parking is close but you cannot pull up to the hotel to load and unload. Another thing would be more than one share in the room. We had a nice size room but I do understand most of them are rather small. We could have had a second chair in the corner which just adds more comfort when two people are in the room. I would recommend this hotel many times over. I still can't get past how great the service was!

Front desk staff was incredibly unhelpful and not welcoming. Very off putting. Menu at breakfast had items listed as vegan that were not. Shower was very low quality. Water spitting out rather than a proper flow.

Had an amazing stay, beautiful quiet room. Friendly staff. A very funky hotel with lots of potential. Abysmal customer service. Suggestion would be to ask hotel guests if they will be enjoying either the rooftop lounge or bistro during their stay and if so reservation could be made. We were not treated as guests if the hotel at either onsite facility which is a lost opportunity for the overall experience. It feels as those staff have not been trained in customer service for a hotel that commands a somewhat premium offering.

Location isn’t great if you’re trying to do anything downtown, however it is on streetcar and bus routes. Pretty quiet too in my experience. There’s a convenience store right across the street too, and the hotel has everything you need regardless. Clean, safe, and comfortable. Easy check-in and check out, responsive front desk.

This is a great property in a vibrant neighborhood, located steps away from public transportation, moving in all directions of Toronto. Very walkable to local neighborhoods, as well as the main tourist attractions of Toronto. Although off the beaten path from the city center itself, the neighborhood this property sits in, is quite trendy, artsy, and family oriented. If you like vintage clothes, shopping, this is the place. This property is so popular that locals often have their weddings and receptions on the roof terrace, which is nice to encounter. For guests, the roof terrace is a nice way to end the day with food or drink and a lovely view.

Hotel was very good in all areas within the hotel. Locations was not in the right place for us. it’s a hour walk from the harbour, transport is available but takes a few hours to get you head around how to navigate the city . We did enjoy the walk to the harbour though it’s to far to walk both ways. So extra cost

Hotel was very clean, great atmosphere. Traditional Room is small but very clean and excellent bathroom. Front Desk staff were incredible, Bistro staff and food was excellent. Rooftop restaurant service was lackluster even with only 4 tables of guests we sat for 20 minutes during happy hour without refills and hand to raise our hands and wave for a refill. Would not return or recommend Rooftop Restaurant.

Rooftop bar closed early both nights and staff rushed us out the door at 1030 even though we were hotel guests. For $500 a night, I should be able to get a late checkout without having to pay $30 for 30 mins extension on the 11 am checkout. For the same money, I’ll stay at the W where the restaurant/bar is better, rooms are quiet and streetcar isn’t grinding away outside my room all night
