Hôtel du Lac Champlain, an Ascend Collection Hotel

L’hôtel est magnifique, le gym est vraiment bien équipé et propre. Ce qui m’a chagriné c’est la prise en considération à l'accueil même si vous êtes occupés un « Bonjour je m’occupe de vous dans un instant » change tout dans le service. Surtout quand il y 4 personnes au comptoir, deux s’occupent d’une cliente et les deux autres jasent… Même chose quand on circule dans l’hôtel aucun bonjour/bonsoir du staff. Accueil et ménage compris. J’étais ravie de mon séjour mais il était important pour moi d’apporter un commentaire constructif dit dans le plus grand respect. Merci et je reviendrai pour sur !

MISLEADING PHOTOS. THERE IS NO SPA INCLUDED. Just know that you're paying almost 400$ for a too spacious room with no amenities. Ultimately, I found it to be really disappointing for a 4-star hotel. The money isn't worth it for what they offer!!! I don't feel I was at a 4-star hotel. Indeed, there was only the gym that was included in the amenities. There's a spa that costs additional money EVEN THOUGH most of the photos of the hotel features the spa. The pictures of the pools were THE reason why we booked the place. Had we'd known, we would have stayed at a cheaper accomodation and access the spa for the day. There was not even a discount at the spa for patrons... Disappointing. FOOD: No free teas given in bedrooms. You have to reserve for the hotel restaurant which doesn't make sense because the whole point of having a restaurant inside a hotel is to show up whenever you come down from your bedroom. I tried to go there for lunch with my partner and not only did they not respond but they did not called me back. I asked to have a kettle to boil water for my tea and the receptionist said "you know you have hot water from the bathroom sink, right?"... Ridiculous! Other disappointments: the pillows were so thin, the tv was not working (we could only access 3 channels), no Netflix or any smart tv. Oh and the people at the receptionare unprofessional for a 4-star hotel (and some of them are literally children...).

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Shopping nearbye is very limited w few dining options ouside of the hotel. Use of the pools shown in the pictures is around 80 additional dollars per day. Mid week is less but shorter hours.

Nice property right off Lake Champlain and on golf club. Has an excellent spa, Noha Spa! The Bistro Bar has a perfect environment and food is excellent with good wine selection! Good service! Hotel is a perfect environment for relaxation and well being!!

Le spa n'était pas invlus dand la reservation ? Il ny avait pas deau le matin pour les douches,la toilette. Le reste etait bien oar contre.

The price seems a bit high considering the location and cleanliness. The bed linen and towels could have been cleaner, as there were some stains.

La propreté des couettes sur le lit restent a désirez. Odeur de transpiration forte lorsque nous avons été au lit. Serviette pour se séché il ne mettre que 2 alors vous ne pouvez pas sortir de la douches pensant avoir une Serviette pour vos cheveux et une pour essuyer vôtre corp. Planchers je doutes qu'il a été nettoyez tâche de café au sol. Je n'avait pas pris le nôtre encore.

La chambre n’était pas 100% propre. Le frigidaire était sale. Le personnel était souriant mais sans plus. Aucune recommandation pour le spa et le restaurant m’a été faite. Ma chambre n’a pas été nettoyée entre mes deux nuits, c’est ok mais au moins changer les tasses à café salés, en remettre d’autre et remplir les capsules de café auraient été super.

Floor wasnt clean in the room lots of dust in THE bathroom

The hotel is beautiful and clean, and they do have some nice staff, but they were brutal with any kind of amenities or support. The housekeeping only came once in our 5 day stay, and didn’t even bother to replace the toilet paper or towels. We legitimately had to ask for new towels multiple times and had to go to the front desk to get new toilet paper, coffee, cups, etc. I get it if you’re only staying a night or two but we were really left to our own devices and had to constantly request items that would normally be replaced in regular housekeeping.

Very clean and spacious room, coupled by an amazing view of the lake from your patio.

Very pleasant facility and staff. Clean, well furnished, modern room. Luxury bathroom. Loved having a view of the lake. Would definitely stay here again. Cons: In the middle of my short shower, the water pressure dropped to almost nothing. It came back after about 3 minutes, but it was an awkward 3 minutes trying to figure out how to rinse off the soap. I assume this was a one-off and not something that happens regularly. The bed frames extend past the mattresses. They look nice, but they are dangerous to the shins, especially in the dark. Ask me how I figured this out. And this one isn't the hotel's fault, but it's a design problem: the occupants of the room above us woke quite early, and for the next two hours sounded like they were running back and forth across the floor incessantly. It put a damper on our nice relaxing morning.

A l’arrivé l’eau ne fonctionnait pas. Cest regler. La tv netais pas brancher. Une fois brancher seulement 2 poste fonctionne. On est revenu de se promener et voulais écouter un film avec nos collations. Rien ne pouvais être fait. Déssu de la façon qu’ils ont gérer la situation. Je ne crois pas revenir ici, surtout aux prix que ca coûte et manque de service.

Le système pour tv n’était pas facilement accessible et différent de TOUS les hôtels que j’ai fréquenté.

Personnel accueillant. Très propre. Chambre grande et très beau design

The WiFi in my room was very slow. As I will be using this hotel in the future for work purposes, I am hoping this was a fluke. In any event, I didn't have much time to ask for your staff's help in increasing the speed, but next time I will most likely want to have someone fix it if it is indeed a problem. Otherwise, great hotel and will be coming back.

It is a new hotel. The views from rooms are unforgettable.

Booked here on the way from the US to Montreal. Nice, large and clean room. However, the bathroom is not in a separate room - there is only a curtain separating the sink from the rest of the room. Not a very good solution (gets a bit noisy for no good reason). There are only sliding doors to the shower and toilet, not proper doors. Also not a great design (doesn't close very tightly). There is a very nice spa built together with the hotel. When we arrived, we asked if we could use it, and they said yes. It closed at 20:00 (actually, they turned off the jets at 19:45), but we spent about 20 minutes there. In the morning we want back, but then the staff at the spa said we weren't allowed there. I went back to reception to check, and was told that it would cost $65 per person (for a day pass) to use the spa. Not worth it, since we were leaving in an hour. Confusing policy, and could have been communicated much better from the hotel. We had breakfast in the restaurant. Not included, and you order from a waitress (i.e. not a buffet). Cost from 18 to 23 dollars before tax and tip. But the breakfast was very good! Note: our GPS put us about 1 km north east when we put the address in - not sure if the GPS was wrong, or the address, but good to be aware of.

Le service à l'accueil a été juste parfait, Zoé avec son sourire a su repondre à toutes nos questions et comme nous etions arrivés beaucoup d'avance à cause de la tempête de neige, elle s'est assuré que nous soyons confortable et nous avons pu avoir notre chambre un peu à l'avance. Le service à la restauration a aussi été très bien, tout comme la nourriture et le prix. Nous y reviendrons assurément !!!

Service was slow at supper and breakfast. Beware pillows are big and could give you a sore next.

Le jeune homme à la réception n'est tout simplement pas à sa place. Il est arrogant, irrespectueux, impoli,... Lorsque l'on paie une chambre plus de 500$ la nuit, on s'attend à un minimum de courtoisie et de service. Bref change de job garçon. Je ne reviendrai jamais et je compte bien en faire part autour de moi.

This property seems designed for people who want to golf, have a spa treatment, and eat. Because all of those things require booking and are fee-for-service, both of my check-in and check-out experiences were delayed by what appeared to be complicated administrative operations to do with booking or billing. The hotel could probably make this sort of information-handling smoother and less labor-intensive. Checking in, there was a relatively large credit-card security deposit, which I assume will be reversed. Checking out, there was a previously uncommunicated $8.50 fee taken. It might be called a “facilities fee”, but it wasn’t really well explained. The room itself was a generous size. The sink and shower were “walled off” by a curtain, which created an open feel. It was a quiet place to sleep, but golf-related activities were underway by 6 am. The basement of the building featured a good gym, which oddly was not listed in the in-room presentation of amenities or in lobby or elevator signage. I was glad I went looking for it. The hotel is across from a lake. It does not emphasize lake activities or much else in its vicinity, since the assumption is that you’re going there to be away from the world with your golf clubs and spa treatments. Because I chose this hotel based on its location and price more than its amenities, I was not its target market. The gym, room quality and restaurant were upsides personally.

Le personnel du restaurant n’a aucune considération des clients de l’hôtel et n’offre aucun service ou accommodement . Elle nous retourne du restaurant sous prétexte que trop occupé.

The facility was fantastic. Good view of the lake. Restaurant very good. Staff is hard to get to since they are either on long phone calls or simply not present. Room was very nice, and, was quiet for sleeping.

This was a great hotel. The staff was very friendly and all spoke English which we were slightly worried about with being in Quebec. The rooms and facilities were very clean and new. No complaints about this hotel and our stay.

C'est la 2eme fois que l'on va à cet hôtel, la qualité est toujours là, le personnel est accueillant et sympathique. Le restaurant Le Greg Café Bistrot est un incontournable si vous séjournez là.

Accueil plutôt froid, Ménage des chambres en plein après-midi (15h00). La vue sur le lac est surtout une vue sur le stationnement et une route passante. Peu de services offerts à l'hôtel, restaurant correct mais hors de prix, peu d'activités dans les environs, particulièrement en semaine. Soyez prudent, on annonce un rabais pour les 50+ au resto sur le site mais il faut avoir aussi avoir été au Noah SPA le mardi. Ce n'était pas clair...

We were just stopping over. Located right by the lake. But not much to do in the area.

A beautiful location on the Lake Champlain with the Lake Champlain Golf Course at their doorstep as well as the Noah Spa. Our room with a view of Lake Champlain was very spacious with excellent Scandinavian type furniture and design. The food at their restaurant “ Le Greg Bistro” was excellent as well as their very extensive wine selection.

This is a 5 stars property with very comfortable room, nice bathroom amenity and a 5 stars restaurant. recommended if you are in the area. Even if you do ot stay there at least try the restaurant ...

The hotel was very nice, the decor was modern and comfortable. The only problem are the very sharp corners of the furniture. My husband and I both hurt ourselves. The service at the restaurant for breakfast was extremely slow and therefore we could not make our checkout at 11 am. I tried to negociate a later checkout, since it was not our fault, and the person at the counter made it very difficult. She finally agreed to give us an hour more.

La nourriture au restaurant de l'hôtel, Le Greg est excellente tant pour le souper que le déjeuner. La joue braisée et le lapin a la moutarde, de purs délices !
