The cottage was amazing. There were so many hidden treasures and whimsical things around to find and original artwork on the walls. The breakfast was great. Our host and hostess were very attentive. The frog pond has ducks and goldfish to feed. Hammocks to relax in, fire place. The bell tower sounded so pretty. At night everything is so beautiful with the lighting. We will definitely be back for another stay. This is truly a hidden treasure and I feel so lucky to have found it. Roxan

This facility was like a little fairy tale cottage. We loved it! There was a fire pit with plenty of wood and kindling provided and hammocks in the trees for relaxing and reading. Definitely recommend for an option far more unique than a chain hotel.

This is a unique place made to make you feel like you're living in a fairytale. There are 4 cottages named after fairytales' characters (in German). The place could be cleaner, but it's not terribly unclean. It is quiet and peaceful, and the owners (Barbara and Henry), who live on the premises, are always helpful. If you need anything that is missing from your cottage, just ask them, and they will provide. There are colorful lights at night that made the place look like an enchanted forest, and they have a nice pond with coy fish and frogs. There are also swings, and small areas to sit and enjoy nature. It is truly a magical place. I would book here again.

We loved our little fairy tale cottage...everything was beautiful!! The cottage was very quiet and it had its own hot water heater and heat & air unit. They have a fire pit which we used to enjoy a fire and to make s'mores...a real treat and all the wood and tools were provided. We also used the hammocks to lay and read in the afternoon...very peaceful. Highly recommend!!

This location is close to downtown Fredericksburg, right off the main highway, but far enough away to be quiet. The cottages are very cute. We visited in the summer, so it was too hot to enjoy the outdoor space fully. The cabin we stayed in was super cute, with very comfortable beds and a great sitting area. It was very well decorated with a lot of art pieces to enjoy on the walls. The music selection was excellent! I really liked having music streaming throughout the cottage.Breakfast was a very good selection that was delivered to our cottage each morning, I enjoyed the bread! Overall, it was a very nice stay. We did encounter a scorpion in our bathroom. I called the owner and he told us to kill it, which was easier said than done. We did eventually get it out the door, it is Texas, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised in the hill country to encounter one of its native inhabitants. If you are looking for a unique and whimsical experience, check this place out.

Quaint little place tucked away in Fredericksburg Only about 7 miles into town. This B & B has 4 cottages and we stayed in the Rumplestilzken cottage with a little loft ahove with an extra bed, really cute and cozy. I didn’t care for the daily breakfast of fruit, cold slices, cheese, bread and hard boiled eggs- one day of 3 would have been fine but I was hoping for a hot breakfast. A fan to use in the bed area would be nice also as it got a little warm in there at night. They have a few fire pits with chairs around the property to hang out as well. Overall it’s cute and we would stay again:)

The cottage was so beautiful. So relaxing sitting by the fire pit sipping the the wine ( complementary) . The property is quiet and welcoming. And very convenient to Fredericksburg.

This property was absolutely unique! The owners (only got to meet the husband) but no less was very welcoming, explained how things worked (my first B&B) the breakfast every morning was so yummy! The lighting of the property in the evenings was so nice. The cottages themselves, were so detailed, up to the welcoming chocolates & bottle of wine! Me & my girls would definitely stay here again!

Cozy and whimsical unique stay. The host was most gracious in helping us build a campfire after much rain. We had a delightful stay.

The idea behind this B&B is quaint, but the execution and upkeep are severely lacking. The area is a rundown neighborhood. Our cottage was very small, dirty, and not kept up to support the high price. Breakfast was cold cuts, bread, and hard boiled eggs. Again, not what one would expect at this price point. Would not recommend staying here.

A friend and I stayed for two nights in the Rapunzel Cottage. The furnishings are old but not necessarily charming. The cottage was not clean - dirty carpet, lots of dirt under couch (an object rolled under and needed to be retrieved), cobwebs on interior windows, dusty coffee maker. My friend slept in downstairs bed and I upstairs. On second day, my friend had multiple insect bites and was in extreme discomfort. Upon returning home, friend was examined by a doctor who told her she had bedbug bites. Prior to writing this review, I contacted owners to express my concern hoping that they would address the issue and if so, I would not feel need to share this with potential guests. Their response was, "Sorry about your experience. Yes, we need to deep clean the place more often with the furniture removed. We never had bedbugs. We think it is more likely mosquito bites or sand flea bites you got outside". I can believe that they may not have had bedbugs in the past. However, that does not mean that they do not have bedbugs now. And for them to say that they can diagnose better than a doctor, feels very dismissive and presumptuous. We spent more than $500 for a two-night stay and my friend continues to deal with the bites almost a week later. To offer a balanced review, the owners provided wine, snacks, and a simple breakfast which were all appreciated. It was very pleasant and peaceful sitting outdoors in the evening and a short ride to downtown.

the website photos are totally inaccurate - it is not in a secluded area - there is no grass to speak of - no TV and WiFi is awful - the staff tried to work on the wifi but I know I'm not the first one to ever complain - it was our 54 Wedding Anniversary the only reason i'm telling this is so some other husband wont go through the disappointment that I did

This is THE cutest place you will ever stay! It was like a fairy cottage from some ancient story, yet had all the amenities. Unfortunately we could only stay one night, but I would love to go back and stay for several. We just LOVED it!

This was truly a unique & off the beaten path gem! The creativity & atmosphere is unforgettable. It was very quiet & peaceful with a fairy-tale vibe.

I loved that the cottages were not far from Main St. The owners were readily available to answer any questions or concerns (not that we had any) and above all....my wife and I enjoyed a nice quiet stay!

Enjoyed this very quaint and quiet place. Just as advertised on Expedia, and the cottage decor was very cute. The drive was very easy and the cottage was conveniently located near the downtown area.

Wonderful experience! This wasn’t just a stay, it was an experience to live in a perfect doll house. It was absolutely relaxing, enchanting, the service was world class!, and the breakfast was delicious! What a great treat! I can’t wait to go back again.
