Staff and service excellent. Low key, environmentally friendly establishment. Our only complaint is the lack of shade or shaded area on the beach. But after exploring other beaches and areas surrounding, it was always comforting to come back to Spirit. Weekends were a bit noisy with other hotels playing music, but Spirit was quiet, especially on weeknights. Amazing to hear water and birds in early morning.

Las fotos no son como está el lugar !! No tiene club de playa como lo muestra en las fotos, ni los camastros, ni las sombrillas, ni restaurante en la playa. El cuarto en general está viejo, no es un hotel de lujo, desayuno bueno, la comida que pedí muy mala ! Alberca elada!

The only thing I would have preferred is clearer information that the beach area is not set up with chairs, umbrellas, etc. It appeared to have a nicer beach in the pictures. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks were amazing!!

Nuestra experiencia en el hotel fue excelente. Reservamos 3 habitaciones y desde nuestra llegada nos sentimos muy bien atendidas. Lo que más destaca es sin duda la amabilidad de todo el staff. Queremos agradecer especialmente a Manuel y Paco en recepción, quienes fueron súper atentos y nos dieron excelentes recomendaciones durante toda la estancia. El restaurante en el rooftop es espectacular, tanto por su ambiente como por la comida deliciosa y la atención impecable. Además, el desayuno incluido es muy completo: huevos al gusto, fruta fresca, agua de frutas, pan y café, todo en porciones generosas. El club de playa es muy cómodo y las albercas están en excelente estado, ideales para relajarse. Como punto a mejorar, notamos que el mantenimiento de los baños en las habitaciones podría ser mejor. A pesar de tener cuidado, los excusados se taparon en varias ocasiones, y un día las regaderas también tuvieron problemas. Aun con este detalle, nuestra estadía fue increíble y sin duda volveríamos. ¡Altamente recomendable!

Fiquei 4 noites nesse hotel, preço da hospedagem não foi barato, pontos positivos : café da manhã , cama , chuveiro quente , serviço de arrumação de quarto. Pontos negativos : a praia em frente não é boa para banho, eles não fazem a limpeza da praia, as camas que tem na praia são velhas, não tem se quer um bar na praia como a maioria dos hotéis, o hotel fica longe do centro em média 20 min a pé , mas isso não é o problema, as ruas são alagadas e não tem iluminação para andar , fazendo com que você peça um táxi por 200 pesos ! Está tendo muitas construções ao redor, barulho dia todo.

This was my first time in holbox. Was memorable to say the least. The hotel although a little way from the busy area was very quiet and clean. The cleaning staff did a great job every day and the staff was really friendly. The room was all that it was advertised and presented a really great view of the beach. The rooftop was breathtaking and really great for sunsets. Would definitely visit one day again.

Really nice stay - staff was awesome, the bed was so comfortable and our room was spotless - great stay - about a 15 mins walk into town so if you wanted food outside what was available at the hotel that was the only downside. Definitely recommend.

We are disappointed with our stay in the Villa. The living room space was very hot, only 2 ceiling fans & can’t keep the house cool even when we opened the sliding doors. The loft with a king size bed was not suitable for sleeping due to no AC it was a waste of space. The 2 rooms has the AC unit but can’t get cold enough. The villa is not clean when we got there. Found insects like cockroaches & mosquitoes everywhere. Shell nuts fell out from the sofa bed, when we opened it. Sofa bed has stains with torn zipper. Didn’t use it due to condition. Me & my husband got a lot of bug-bites on our legs, arms & back areas. Even when we are constantly applying bug spray & lotion. I think our bed has bed bugs too due to the pattern of bites that I got. Got the bug bites on 1st night of stay. Didn’t enjoy this vacation due to the bug-bites I got. Manager gave us an extra room for my daughters they can’t sleep on the loft area because was really hot. Breakfast needed more variety. Coffee was not good. The Restaurant has great food. Staff are helpful.

La habitacion tenia basura, no estaba realmente limpia. Y era muy pequeña, por ese precio esperaba mas. Fuera de ahi la playa esta super cerca y muy bonita. El desayuno esta bien, las bebidas estan caras. Pero tienen promociones en ciertas horas.

They give a premium room on ground floor, it was really loud because behind the was the electricity generator. With this room we didn't get any natural light inside because the room is always in the shadows. Also something really bad was that you have no possibility to have a decent breakfast, there is only one option and you can decide only which kind of eggs you want, and if you stay there one week, you are going to eat always the same.

Muy bonita la vista desde la terraza para disfrutar el atardecer. Los desayunos incluídos muy recomendables! La habitación en la que estuvimos, en planta baja, con poca ventilación y luz natural, pero en general el servicio y personal amable y atentos.

The staff was great except they continued to say the shower water was warm, it was very cold. The location was farther from the town of Holbox than it looked on maps or was explained on websites. It is a great area to walk to beach but again a little farther out. I would stay here again in the summer when the coll (cold) water would not be a factor.

Beds are very hard so not good for a bad back. Gabriel was a wonderful host at the rooftop restaurant and made me go back even though it was sub par food but again awesome service and they should invest in some new beds or pillow tops

Hôtel très agréable, très bien situé sur la plus belle plage de l’île, avec une vue incroyable depuis la piscine. Le restaurant est très sympa, même si le service est assez long, surtout au petit déjeuner. 2 déceptions : - La plage qui est très peu aménagée, contrairement à l’ensemble des hôtels à côté (seulement des transats posés sur le sable rapidement, pas de parasols, pas de bar…) - Le service : J’ai envoyé un mail au moment de la réservation pour indiquer que mon ami fête son anniversaire pendant notre séjour sur place, afin d’avoir une petite attention dans la chambre (en payant si besoin). Je n’ai jamais eu la moindre réponse. Également, le Wifi ne fonctionne pas bien partout. Malgré tout, cela reste un très bon hôtel, avec un bon rapport qualité prix !

Beautiful and very comfortable hotel with great stuff. We even lost an earbud and the staff helped us looking everywhere, including climbing through the plants on the balconies 😂 Would highly recommend this hotel!

We absolutely loved our stay! Paco and the rest of the staff gave us really good service and made the stay amazing. We found the location so great as it’s at a quiet but pretty beach not to far from the center. of the island. The breakfast at the beachfront made it extra special!

Eigentlich ein tolles Hotel in dem man einige entspannte Tage verbringen kann. Super Lage, direkt am Meer und das Zentrum von Holbox ist fußläufig. Nur muss ich die Email-Kommunikation nach dem Urlaub sehr bemängeln. Mir wurde ein falscher Betrag vom Konto abgebucht (das doppelte!!) und nach zig Emails und bitten zur Rücküberweisung ist nach vier Wochen immer noch nichts passiert! Sowas darf sich einen 4**** Sterne Hotel meiner Meinung nach nicht erlauben.

Nuestra experiencia en el hotel fue excelente. Reservamos 3 habitaciones y desde nuestra llegada nos sentimos muy bien atendidas. Lo que más destaca es sin duda la amabilidad de todo el staff. Queremos agradecer especialmente a Manuel y Paco en recepción, quienes fueron súper atentos y nos dieron excelentes recomendaciones durante toda la estancia. El restaurante en el rooftop es espectacular, tanto por su ambiente como por la comida deliciosa y la atención impecable. Además, el desayuno incluido es muy completo: huevos al gusto, fruta fresca, agua de frutas, pan y café, todo en porciones generosas. El club de playa es muy cómodo y las albercas están en excelente estado, ideales para relajarse. Como punto a mejorar, notamos que el mantenimiento de los baños en las habitaciones podría ser mejor. A pesar de tener cuidado, los excusados se taparon en varias ocasiones, y un día las regaderas también tuvieron problemas. Aun con este detalle, nuestra estadía fue increíble y sin duda volveríamos. ¡Altamente recomendable!

The Good - Beautiful Rooftop and Great Breakfast The Bad (So Much) - At check-in we were told our child that was 19 would add $150 USD to our 3 night stay. We didn't receive a different room. Same room Higher unexpected price. Our safe stopped working twice and we had to have it manually opened by staff. Check out was even worse than check in. We were told a taxi would be reserved for us and arrive at 5:30am so we could make our ferry and flight. No taxi and no one in the reception. Had to walk around the property for 20 minutes before I found a worker to call us a taxi and we almost missed our boat home. When we get to the airport we get a message from the reception anticipating an apology but they just needed our exp date for our cc so they could charge us more. Honestly, for the adjusted up price there are better places to stay.

Leider täuschen die Bilder. Die Lage ist sehr gut, aber das Hotel müsste dringend renoviert werden. Teilweise schauen Kanel aus den Wänden. Wir hatten die zweitbeste Zimmerkategorie im zweiten Stock. Unser erstes Zimmer war direkt unter der Bar / Restaurant. Nicht nur das man ab 7 Uhr durch laute Barmusik geweckt wird, sondern auch durch Stühlerücken etc. Zur Vorbereitung des Frühstücks. Nach intensiver Bitte haben wir dann ein anderes Zimmer erhalten. Da war das Getrampel weniger, aber der Musiklärm bei Schichtbeginn blieb. Der Service an der Rezeption ist lustlos undunprofessionell. An der Bar / breskfast sehr freundlich. Man zahlt den hohen Preis für die Lage des Hotels.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! José hat uns bei allen Fragen super weitergeholfen! Allgemein war das Personal sehr sehr freundlich! Das Frühstück war richtig lecker und absolut ausreichend. Die Zimmer sauber und groß. Der Strandclub super süß eingerichtet. Wir würden das Spirit immer wieder buchen!

Staff and service excellent. Low key, environmentally friendly establishment. Our only complaint is the lack of shade or shaded area on the beach. But after exploring other beaches and areas surrounding, it was always comforting to come back to Spirit. Weekends were a bit noisy with other hotels playing music, but Spirit was quiet, especially on weeknights. Amazing to hear water and birds in early morning.

Si hay lluvias vas a depender del taxi para ir al centro, cada viaje aprox 150-200, si no, es una caminata de 20 min max pasando por pocos lugares oscuros. Excelente atención por parte del staff, buena comida en el restaurante, buen beach club aledaño, buen desayuno incluido.

The staff was great except they continued to say the shower water was warm, it was very cold. The location was farther from the town of Holbox than it looked on maps or was explained on websites. It is a great area to walk to beach but again a little farther out. I would stay here again in the summer when the coll (cold) water would not be a factor.

We spent three nights at Spirit Holbox with our two adult children. The hotel is a really nice option on the island as it’s on the quieter side of things, but also not easily walkable to the main drag, but we were fine calling taxis when needed. It is not fancy, but comfortable and the staff does a nice job. The rooftop bar/restaurant is nice to have on hand, and it’s walkable to a few really good places to eat as well. Our trip to Holbox was memorable and we are glad we had the experience.

The only thing I would have preferred is clearer information that the beach area is not set up with chairs, umbrellas, etc. It appeared to have a nicer beach in the pictures. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks were amazing!!

They give a premium room on ground floor, it was really loud because behind the was the electricity generator. With this room we didn't get any natural light inside because the room is always in the shadows. Also something really bad was that you have no possibility to have a decent breakfast, there is only one option and you can decide only which kind of eggs you want, and if you stay there one week, you are going to eat always the same.

The beach is not properly maintained, there are some parts of and old building and that makes unable to swim. The Hamburgers were pretty salty and I reported that to the staff who do nothing about. Its good but could be better

Beds are very hard so not good for a bad back. Gabriel was a wonderful host at the rooftop restaurant and made me go back even though it was sub par food but again awesome service and they should invest in some new beds or pillow tops
