We stayed here last year. Room was immaculant. This one smells bad. And part of the reason we booked again was the beautiful outdoor pool. It is out of order. Desk guy was very accomdating.

The room was filthy! Bed only had 1 blanket and the cover sheet smelled like dirty feet. I requested a non smoking room and I could smell the old nicotine in the room. Bathroom had only 1 set of towels no 2. No soap or shampoo for the shower and I had to go down and beg for another set of towels. I was told they had runout!!

This motel is next to the freeway so the traffic noise is pretty loud. Overall the unit was clean except one of the chairs had a sticky feel to it. The table was a bit wobbly and felt sticky too. The bed was comfy but I wouldn’t stay here again due to the traffic noise.

No air conditioning. I stayed at the very end of September, no idea how staying in the summer would be bearable. There is no air conditioning. There are no fans. Despite the "leave the lights on" they do no prepare the room.

The place is the best you can hope for from a motel. It’s better than the motel 6 north Eugene location. By far. The staff are more professional. They don’t act like they hate their life. Victoria has been very helpful. And Bree fixed my booking without even being asked. She saw a problem on the books and solved it. I don’t find any poop around the outside here. It’s pretty clean. The rooms are also really clean and comfortable by comparison. Their rooms amenities reflect what’s really there. No “your room doesn’t actually have a microwave or fridge” when you arrive. North Eugene motel 6, the other one, is way different. It’s gross. Their staff are rude and they hate everyone. South Eugene motel 6, this one, is far superior.

My only compliments are the booking/finance manager. She works with Expedia well and she’s very nice. Maintenance is also done very well. Cleaning crew is above average. They’re not immune to mistakes but they try hard if you’re nice. But. Other guest service staff refused to schedule me for housekeeping next day when I made the schedule request late at night. But told me they were doing it. Threw out notes I left for morning manager asking for housekeeping and stuff even though I gave her a tip. They refused to check on people making noise in the parking lot, partying until 2:30am. Then later I got yelled at by an unfamiliar management person when trying to explain my situation from that morning. Instead of normal communication it seems like we’ve resigned to “we won’t interact.” If I stay here anymore I’ll know I have to bring my own bedding. And ear plugs. It’s not as safe as it used to be. Just because guest service staff are not as responsible about the property.

Victoria was super helpful. She’s a sincere communicator and just a hospitable person. Bree saved me a huge hassle and kept me in the same room when the Expedia system tried switching me. Everyone was satisfactory as host employees. But Bree & Victoria deserve a shout out. This place is cleaner and better maintained than you would expect. I feel lucky to have stayed here. Not all Motel 6 are this clean and courteous. Don’t go to the north Eugene motel 6, the slight increase in price is very worth it.

Bree, Ben, and Victoria were very helpful to me personally. But generally nice staff. I’m still staying here intermittently. This is a review for / by a diagnosed disabled obsessive compulsive disorder person. So my scrutiny is a little extreme. But I’m giving a thumbs up. The south motel 6 is a different type of place than the north motel 6. They have the same manager but motel 6 north is the problem child. If you have OCD about noise/cleanliness/safety, you should go to motel 6 south. The higher price is worth it just because of parking lot cleanliness. I checked both my rooms that I’ve stayed in at motel 6 south with a UV light. I know you shouldn’t at any motel. But I can’t help myself. I can attest I found mostly “normal living” UV wall stains like sneeze spatter stains, hand washing splash stains, toilet splash stains. Nothing coming up on UV on the furniture. Nothing coming up on UV for the light switches. Minimal UV stains in the shower like people wash off who knows what. But seemingly little to nothing “gross” showing on UV anywhere except around the toilet. Where you would reasonably expect to find gross UV stains. OCD person thumbs up. 👍

Stephanie is the most negligent employee I have ever encountered in a motel. Every single thing is implicitly “no” or that’s your fault. You want housekeeping scheduled for tomorrow? “No that’s your fault. You should’ve scheduled it yesterday.” They refuse to get people to stop partying in the parking lot after midnight. Even when I paid her to enforce the rules. I had to call the police instead. this place used to be wonderful, and now it just plainly sucks because of the coordination management.

The Motel is very close to the I-5 Interstate. This makes the rooms on the front of the building pretty noisy, there are back side of building rooms that are probably quieter. It is fairly close and convenient to the University of Oregon campus. The room was simple and basic, clean and adequate, nothing fancy.

The rooms, as anywhere motel wise, could still be cleaner. Door jams and grab spots are still filthy. doesn't take but a minute to wipe them down with a Clorox wipe or cleaner. And something needs to be done about the homeless folks hanging out nearby at all motel 6's. There was a loose unneutered male dog roaming around causing a threat to any paying persons animal doing their business. But still, great staff, perfect location with food and gas next door. Will visit again when we head to the coastline.

Check in had to be moved out a half hour because of house keeping being behind. Absolutely no sleep the first night. surrounded by druggies and hookers. Morning staff tried to cover the problems. If not for the clientele it probably would have been acceptable

The best motel six in town. The area is a bit sketchy but it's right off the highway and close to food and gas stations. A bit run down but overall clean and the staff is always courteous. Highway noise may bother some people but considering it's right off the highway, the noise isn't bad.

Gorgeous place. Conveniently right off the freeway still quiet enough to spend a few nights there. I enjoyed the hospitality of the friendly staff and the cleanliness of the room. The bed was very comfortable and the neighbors were all quiet. They have fresh coffee at 6am but Denny's is right next door in case you want breakfast with your coffee.

The room was barebones but fine. My biggest issue was that the water from the ice in the ice machine tasted terrible. But that's not a slight on the property itself, more its location, which is convenient to access, but less convenient for anything - only two gas stations and a Dennys within walkable distance.

Enjoyed the stay. Front desk staff was very friendly. Clean, only downfall is right off the highway so it was very noisy and the Papa John's pizza they had advertised was not actual pizza and was not a good pizza. Will stay again! thank you

We requested a fridge in our room, but one wasn't available. They gave us a discounted room instead, which we thought was more than fair. The room was clean and comfortable. It was conveniently close to Eugene and I-5. A nice touch that we got a discount at Denny's! Front desk was friendly and helpful.

Transient overnight stop on road trip from Washington state to California. Low cost, clean and just off the freeway making it convenient. Also had Denny’s restaurant open 24/7 right next to the motel. Room was very clean. Only thing was the hotel area, including the lights outside the rooms, were very bright white lighting which attracted bugs. We had to be careful not to let the bugs inside the room when entering/exiting our room.

I needed a clean, decent place to stay in Eugene and didn't want to spend a lot. Motel 6 South was fine. I liked how quiet the heat/air con was. The 10% discount by showing your room key next door at Denny's was nice.
