Wonderful stay at Villa Stone. Everything was straightforward and the host was very welcoming and genuinely friendly. The room was large and the beds incredibly comfortable. We made use of the pool which was much needed during the hot weather. Our only regret was not staying longer. Would highly recommend.

This was a fabulous stay. Great location close to plitvice lakes. Rooms are huge!!! Extremely clean. Kids loved the swimming pool. Host was excellent. Very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Breakfast has tasty with good variety and fresh fruit. Highly recommend this place. Great value.

Only people staying at the property so had the place completely to ourselves however this did mean that facilities such as the bar, breakfast, pool etc were not open. The room was beautiful and get location for Plitvice lakes.

Schönes Appartementhaus in der Nähe des Nationalparks. Nur ca. 10 Autominuten vom Eingang 1 des NP entfernt. Sehr herzliche und informationsreiche Begrüßung durch den Hausherren. Es hat weder in den Zimmern noch am Umfeld etwas gefehlt. Ein toll angerichtetes Frühstück mit allem was man gerne mag. Der Pool ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Empfehlungen von Mate trugen zu einem gelungenen Zwischenstopp bei. Sehr zu empfehlen. Vielen Dank

Het onvangst was heel vriendelijk. De familiekamer was heel ruim en schoon. Service was super: ontbijt kon speciaal voor ons vroeger om op tijd naar het national park te gaan en we kregen wat fruit en drinken bij het zwembad. Aanrader!

La struttura è bella e accogliente, a dieci minuti dai laghi di Plitviče, una delle riserve naturali più straordinarie che abbia mai visto. La stanza da quattro era molto spaziosa, con un bagno comodo. Piccola piscina aperta dalle 9 alle 20. Tutto pulitissimo e profumato. Colazione dolce e salata molto abbondante, a pagamento. L’host, Mate, gentilissimo. Forse un po’ più caro del previsto, ma il soggiorno è stato davvero piacevole.

Villa Stone was amazing. Our host Mata was very accommodating and very personable. We let him know we were interested in dinner at the location and we set a time. Villa Stone has a lovely outdoor area where our host started his wood fire grill and we had the most amazing food , wine and conversation. Very relaxing. We enjoyed the double room with balcony. The room along with bathroom were very spacious and clean. Bed very comfortable It was the decor and little touches that made you feel comfy and at home. If we come back this way it won’t be for Plitfice Lakes it will be stay at Villa Stone again.

The proximity to the national park was great! It was 10 mins drive for us to enter at 8 am. The rooms were clean and very spacious. Hosts were very helpful with the luggage

One of our highlights during our stay in Croatia! Beautiful surroundings, lovely rooms with balconies that made you feel connected to the beauty outside as well as a warm and welcoming host who provided excellent recommendations to help us make the most of our 2 night stay. My family and I stayed at Villa Stone in Čatrnja, Rakovica for one night while visiting Plitvice National Park, and I honestly wish we could’ve stayed longer. From the moment we arrived—late in the evening and in the rain—we were welcomed with genuine warmth by Mate, the host. Mate went above and beyond. Not only did he help us get settled in after our long travel day, but he also cooked us a full homemade dinner, which was a truly generous and memorable gesture. His kindness made us feel less like hotel guests and more like family. The rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. It felt like a true countryside retreat. The setting is peaceful and picturesque, with cows and sheep nearby, which kept our children completely entertained. If you're heading to Plitvice, do yourself a favor and stay here. Between the hospitality, the comfort, and the charm of the location, Villa Stone is easily one of the best places we've stayed on our trip. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

We were visiting from Canada with family. Mate, your host, is most accommodating. The place is quite new and suited us perfectly. It is just North and only 9 minutes drive to entrance 1 of Plitvice Lakes National Park and therefore a great staging ground for a day trip there. The room is clean and spacious. The beds are very comfortable. While it is possible to enter the park at 7am and start hiking and have breakfast at one of the restaurants inside, we suggest a more leisurely breakfast with Mate and then head on to the park. He provided a perfectly good meal with lots of fruit, bread, eggs, sausages, ham, mushrooms, and vegetables. Coffee machine is available. Wish we could stay longer there. Thank you Mate. You are a good man!

Schönes Appartementhaus in der Nähe des Nationalparks. Nur ca. 10 Autominuten vom Eingang 1 des NP entfernt. Sehr herzliche und informationsreiche Begrüßung durch den Hausherren. Es hat weder in den Zimmern noch am Umfeld etwas gefehlt. Ein toll angerichtetes Frühstück mit allem was man gerne mag. Der Pool ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. We were visiting from Canada with family. Mate, your host, is most accommodating. The place is quite new and suited us perfectly. It is just North and only 9 minutes drive to entrance 1 of Plitvice Lakes National Park and therefore a great staging ground for a day trip there. The room is clean and spacious. The beds are very comfortable. While it is possible to enter the park at 7am and start hiking and have breakfast at one of the restaurants inside, we suggest a more leisurely breakfast with Mate and then head on to the park. He provided a perfectly good meal with lots of fruit, bread, eggs, sausages, ham, mushrooms, and vegetables. Coffee machine is available. Wish we could stay longer there. Thank you Mate. You are a good man!

The proximity to the national park was great! It was 10 mins drive for us to enter at 8 am. The rooms were clean and very spacious. Hosts were very helpful with the luggage

Everything was very clean. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very good. My only recommendation, and I’m not sure if this can be done through Expedia app, is clarify that you do want breakfast in the morning. I did not see the option to do that but they were able to accommodate us so, you might want to clarify w/ them at check in.

This was a fabulous stay. Great location close to plitvice lakes. Rooms are huge!!! Extremely clean. Kids loved the swimming pool. Host was excellent. Very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Breakfast has tasty with good variety and fresh fruit. Highly recommend this place. Great value.

Only people staying at the property so had the place completely to ourselves however this did mean that facilities such as the bar, breakfast, pool etc were not open. The room was beautiful and get location for Plitvice lakes.

Villa Stone was amazing. Our host Mata was very accommodating and very personable. We let him know we were interested in dinner at the location and we set a time. Villa Stone has a lovely outdoor area where our host started his wood fire grill and we had the most amazing food , wine and conversation. Very relaxing. We enjoyed the double room with balcony. The room along with bathroom were very spacious and clean. Bed very comfortable It was the decor and little touches that made you feel comfy and at home. If we come back this way it won’t be for Plitfice Lakes it will be stay at Villa Stone again.

This is a really beautiful villa. Beautifully designed and decorated. The room gives a rustic feel. It is spacious. The balcony is private. It is close to the national park (6 km). The owner is very nice. He helped us carry luggage upstairs.
