It was clean. Door to outside did not close tight when you shut it. They had no hair dryer in the room or shampoo. The pool instructions said to shower before getting in pool but they didn’t have an outdoor shower by the pool or a bathroom.

I've used Motel6 The Dalles once or twice a year for several years. The motel is basic but very well maintained. The hard flooring in the rooms greatly aids cleanliness and neatness. The air conditioner was very effective and reasonably quiet, which is a good thing because The Dalles is hot, dry and windy throughout the summer. The pool is small but has a clear glass enclosure to protect from the wind. Check in and check out went smoothly. I have no complaints; for a reasonable price, you get a clean well-maintained room.

Was ok, not close to as nice as pictures show. Clean and fit the bill for last minute place to get some sleep. No elevator and no first floor rooms available. Wish sites would display limited accessability i.e. multiple floors no elevator so can make appropriate choices when choosing hotel as have mobility issues.

Just a quick stay over passing through. The beds were fine and the room was adequate size. The Check-in clerk was friendly. Your typical no-frills Motel 6 in a convenient location. The pool was closed and looked like it was not in good condidtion.

The shower was too dirty to even use. There was build up soap scum and a ring of dirt around the bottom of the tub. There was also dirt scum on the wall and bathroom door. There was a dirt smudge on one of bed sheets. The pictures for this hotel are completely misleading.

The room smelled as if someone had been smoking in a non-smoking room. The windows were closed so the smell didn't come from smoking outside. Informed the front desk and they said they could come and spray some deodorizer, but we didn't want to be breathing that in all night long. The cockroach coming out of the bathroom didn't help either. The mattress was pretty firm also. The staff was very friendly and took note of the information and I'm hoping there will be improvements for the next guests.

Three kinds of mold in the bathroom. Was first alerted to it by the funky smell. Pulled back the first beds bedding to find what looked like the outline of someone sitting there made of crumbs. Wtheck? And of course you could hear every word coming from all the rooms around. My mother was too tired to complain last night. Super bummer.

Walked to the room, street walkers outside. Went in and a guy was smoking pot in the hallway. Got to my room and there was a bedbug running across the bed. Was supposed to get my money back but 1 day later I had not.

Our beds were comfortable and the room was clean. There was a table & 2 chairs plus a desk, lamp and flat-screen TV all of which was appreciated. It got a bit noisy in the hall way but got quiet around 9:30pm.The bathroom was VERY small & difficult to move around. It was in a busy area and a few homeless close by.

This facility is just old & needs lots of repairs inside despite an apparent remodel. The layout of the room isn't ideal with the mirror, sink & dressing area in front of the entrance to the room. Attention to detail is lacking. The mattress was comfortable though & overall, in a quick pinch, this room is more than adequate for a short stay.

Clean rooms, lots of amenities near by. Easy friendly check in. Quiet despite it's nearness to the freeway. Our beds however must have been brand new because they were as hard as rocks therefore didn't sleep too well. Even though most reviews said beds were comfy.

The location is very clean, reception was friendly, and the rooms are modernly renovated. It looked great! However, the bed literally feels like it is box spring that had sheets and blankets thrown on it. I actually bruised my leg getting on the bed. I did not sleep well, at all. Positive mention; the towels are extremely soft and fluffy, rivaling luxury hotels

We stayed here for a one night and would stay here again. The room was spacious and clean. We had quite a big refrigerator and a microwave. No coffee pot but we didn’t need it anyway. The room has two tables and two chairs. The motel is along a busy road and it’s noisy but it didn’t bother us during the night and we had a good sleep. The mattress is on the firm side which I prefer and pillows were quite comfortable. Overall we had a good rest in Motel 6.

I liked the low price compared to others in the area. I did not like the smell of old cigarette ashtray mixed with nasty plug-in scents permeating the entire building and my room and my clothing. I did not like how the manager and her staff did not break from their computer and phones when I was speaking with them and asking questions = RUDE! I would rather pay extra to stay in a different motel/hotel. This place and its staff were disgusting.

Look, it’s a typical motel 6 so don’t go into this thinking fancy because it’s not. But there is a surprise if you stay at this particular motel 6….. the manger is nothing less than an angel. She is extremely kind and recommended this place based on her alone.

The entire building smells like an old full ashtray with foul plug-in "air fresheners" overpowering. The laundry carts are left in hallways 24/7. Front desk staff including manager were rude and glued to their computer when I was asking questions. They watched me carry in heavy luggage but did not tell me there was luggage trolly available at the other end of the motel. Unforgivable.

The hall way to the room is so run down and stinks. Someone kept leaving a rock pinned in the outside door to keep it unlocked which was uncomfortable. The room was clean. Has been updated enough that it was fine but the outside is very run down and the area of town seems sketchy. Pool was decent. Won’t stay here again.

Our first Motel 6. I was swayed by the decent price and the nice looking photos. But, sadly.. this is not a great place. It is way older than the photos suggest. This kind of place attracts a certain kind of clientele and we were a bit on edge whenever we were out walking around.

We were happy for a clean room & welcoming staff. Inside the room, some wall art would sure be a nice addition. In room coffee service is always a great option to wake up with for that 1st cuppa Joe! Bed & pillows were very comfy, but room chairs not. Outside, the back parking area and grounds are unkept and unclean w/ garbage & cigarette butts everywhere. I know it’s what you pay for, so we will try again another day.

Pool was nice on a very hot day. Basic amenities - soap but no shampoo or hair rinse, television but no coffee. Beds were comfortable and air conditioning functioning. Price was comparatively good which made the quick overnight acceptable for expectations. Would stay here again under similar circumstances.

It was a cheap room so I understand the short comings. But I would have liked to know there wouldnt be shampoo. The room seemed clean enough. And like other hotels its noisy -thin walls. But if you are a heavy sleeper that wont matter. You have to go to the lobby for coffee.

This is a very clean and quiet property, with a very clean and nice little pool. The free coffee is really good, and the staff is very, very helpful and friendly. There is a Cousins restaurant you can walk to, as well as a few other restaurants and food trucks. The bed was super comfortable.

The grounds were well kept, the building appeared to have recently been painted and the trees were gorgeous. The young man at the front desk was a sweetheart. But we were kind of blindsided when we walked in to such a stripped down sterile atmosphere. For what we were charged, we anticipated a small fridge, a microwave, thicker towels, a coffee maker, a few comforts that we generally find. The room had been recently redone, and had a nice general appearance, but there were very few stations to try to find shows to watch on the tv as we tried to kick back and relax. And no comfortable chairs. I understand that some of the changes have been done since the shut down, never expected to find vinyl floors but do see the logic. The location was close to two terrific restaurants, the Tomato Street and Chinatown, excellent. But a cup of coffee before we left the room in the morning would have been nice.
