Best Western Plus Edmundston

Staff: Why would you hire someone who can barely speak English to greet your customers? Her accent was so strong, I didn't know what she was saying. I had to call my friend over to listen and he didn't know what she was saying. If the employee can't be bothered to take an ESL class upon arriving in Canada, why should I have to strain to try to understand her lazy attempt at English? That doesn't make sense. Room: The toilet kept running. We left around 1pm to go shopping, eat and then to the casino for a few hours. Upon leaving, I told the front desk that the toilet keeps running and he said they would have someone go up to fix it. We came back around 9pm, not thinking about the toilet, and went to bed. The toilet kept us up all night. Room: The fridge froze all of my pops. When I took one out, opened it and placed it on the end table, the pop slowly expanded and leaked all over the table, my phone and my paperwork. Amenities: The hot tub wasn't hot. It was lukewarm. It felt like I was sitting in a warm bath, not a hot tub.

Comfy King Bed. Perfect for a stopover. Nice quaint bar — with friendly staff.

Loud group of kids running around, hot tub broken, shampoo/conditioner not filled, back door not secure due to card reader broken.

Needs a restaurant

Fitness centre needs improvement and update/repair of equipment.

Booked this hotel as it noted a gym, and this is important to my husband and I. The cable machine was broken - cables ripped out. Treadmill did not work. No weights. They should remove “gym” from their description as it is false advertising.

We paid over $200 to take our son to a hotel with a pool, water slides, hot tub, the works. When we arrived, we were informed that the pool was closed for maintenance. (Apparently it had been closed for a month) We did very much appreciate the manager offering to upgrade our room however. We did not stay, our boy was promised a pool so we went elsewhere. Refund process through Expedia is atrocious.

The pool was close and thats the only reason we went to that hotel, asked for a discount since its a part of the amenities I payed for, never got a call back from the manager. Very disappointing.

The heating system blew cool the whole evening. If we turned it up it was too hot. The elevator was also broken. The room seemed like it was waiting for a renovation.

Overall good with clean rooms, comfy beds, generally good facilities, good customer service but couple misses in the slide being out of order and no bagels at the very standard breakfast buffet.

Room was fine. A few things left unclean, (Bathtub and night table area near the beds) We were in room 400 and the king bed on the left was very uncomfortable. Bed was caved in from the middle, had to sleep at an angle all night. During breakfast, staff had a bit of attitude, kept on the kids to not touch anything, when they were just grabbing item to eat. Found a hair in the scrambled eggs

Beautiful rooms, very clean and modern. Breakfast had many choices and was quite fresh however with the volume of guests it may be a good idea to expand this area. Very convenient location just off the highway with a large fuel station nearby.

Extremely clean and comfortable room, wonderful modern and stylish design and atmosphere. Loved the style and “vibe” of this hotel. Will definitely stay here again!

Dirty clothes were left in the drawers… beurk , and asked for a late check out and cleaning lady came in screaming without knocking during my meeting.

I had a great stay at the Best Western Plus hotel in Edmundston Very clean and comfortable Recommend this place!

Great stay…room was clean and quiet. Only thing was the air/heat unit was so loud we couldn’t leave it on so it did get warm. Would definitely recommend this stop though.

Everything was great, however, the beds need upgrading as they sag in the middle. It was an uncomfortable sleep, breakfast was great, bathrooms and the room itself were great as well.

This is a beautiful hotel. The halls leading to the rooms are elegant. The room itself was spacious and modern.

The tv in room was freezing constantly. front desk staff said it was a provider issue however when reading reviews from previous guests this has been an issue since August 2024. the tv in the bar amazingly worked fine ?!? c'mon do better!!!!

It was very noisy up to 1-2 am. Notified front desk several times. The walls are thin. Backdoor broken, so someone entered the building (not sure they were a guest) glad I had lock on my door, not secure at all.

Great spot. Very impressed with large king room and thoughtfulness of design … lighting, flooring, comfort, amenities. We’ll stay again.

The property seemed to be newly renovated. Very clean rooms. Nice lounge/bar area. Breakfast was quick and convenient.

The hotel is brand new, the rooms are incredible and the hot breakfast was delicious I give it a 10 star, the only problem was the 2 individuals at the front desk when we arrive where incredibly incompetent especially the male, and the woman shift was coming to the end because she in a rush to leave. The problem was that the elevator was out of order and our room was on the 4th floor and that’s a problem when my wife of 66 with asthma and myself age of 70 had to luge our luggage up 4 filth of stairs whit no help, thank god that I’m a volunteer firefighter and stil in pretty good shape but my wife was not I thought she was coming to have a heart attack. I asked the 2 individual at the front desk to change our room to the first or second floor and the said that they where all booked up, but notice the guest pile that had not check in yet, but they said that they could not do this because the rooms where already assigned even do they had not arrived.both of the staff where also very rude to myself and also my daughter who was also travelling with her family. The next morning I returned my card to the front desk and told the woman that I wanted to make a complaint to management and told me she was, I told her what had happened the evening before and the guy told me that the elevator was only out that day but that was a lie because she told me that it was out for the 3 weeks and that there was supposed to have staff on hand to bring the luggage up, but when I asked no one was ava.

The room was nice and the hotel (halls rooms etc.) was in good condition. However the service was not good. I checked in on line (with all the data required including a picture of my ID). When i got to the hotel, there was a ling line up of people who evidently did not pre-check in. Each party took at least 5 minutes at the desk. There was no fast check in line therefore no advantage to taking the time to do the online check in. The reception staff was unprofessional and not welcoming. The breakfast was okay but the room was way too small for the number of people. It was hot and very crowded. Finally, i left an item behind and i had to call the hotel 5 times before i got an answer. Overall i was not very impressed with the hotel.

We had done the check in online. When we got to hotel, on a Sat at 6pm they had a long line of customers waiting to check in - took a long time. Needed more staff. Otherwise the room and hotel were great.

Found the check in staff a little abrupt. Not a redeeming quality for a front line employee!! Our room did not have night stands on both sides of the beds? When I asked about this and why there was no drinking water in our room we did not recieve a satifactory reply, only that it was not the top of the line for this chain. We were comped a bottle of water after paying 5 dollars for two cans of pop. While this is not Best Westerns high end hotel we expect a full compliment of bedroom furniture at the least. Bottled water is not an unreasonable expectation at this price range. We have stayed here several times over the years but found it a little noisey this trip. We will try another hotel next time we travel through Edmunston. We found what appeared to be a silverfish running around on the floor in the morning. Not comforting knowing our clothes and suit case could be easily accessed by these invasive pests where they could stow away and or lay eggs! I have a video of our intruder.....

Very friendly and efficient front desk staff. Very accommodating. Large room, clean and well appointed. Very convenient when travelling with animals.

The check-in staff was unfriendly and made a serious mistake by assigning us a room that was already occupied. We almost walked in on the guests while they were undressed, which was very uncomfortable and unacceptable.

The overall of the hotel was good. It is located away from major routes so was quiet. Breakfast was usual HIE fare.

Room was clean and convenient on the first floor for packing the car. Dog friendly. Close to Boston Pizza! Friendly staff. Breakfast included. Perfect for what we needed driving through from PEI to Ontario. Will come again.

Great room. Clean and comfy bed. Full hot breakfast was amazing. There is no restaurant in the hotel but the bar does serve pizza made by a local pizzeria and it was really good. Can’t charge food and drinks to the room which was a little odd, but i guess the bar is run as a separate service. Excellent stay

Excellent hôtel sauf pour le déjeuner: pas de vaisselle, que des assiettes en carton et des ustensiles en plastique. En plus d’être polluant, ça rend le repas très peu intéressant. Pour un établissement de cette qualité, ce n’est pas acceptable.

The breakfast was healthy but not hot enough, although the staff was very friendly and polite and worked very hard to keep everything neat and clean and they made sure that nothing was missing at all times.

Everything was good. And good breakfast options.
