The facility is slightly dated. Dinner service was very rushed as if to get us to finish as soon as possible. The overall environment was very loud and lacks ambient. Our room is unfortunately in the corner room and therefore the insulation was very poor. There was a cool draft coming into the room overnight. Otherwise, the staff service was kind.

너무 즐거웠어요 진짜 힐링의 시간이었습니다 근데 물이 워낙 미끄러운 물이라 그런지 저도, 친구도 둘 다 넘어졌어요 ㅠ 그 부분만 조심하면 정말 즐거운 여행이 될 것 같습니다

露天風呂付の部屋でした。素晴らしい泉質で何度も入浴しました。すべすべになりました。 子供の食事をサービスして頂き嬉しかったですが、食事自体は特筆することはなく、食事付きでなくてもよかったかな、という印象です。

The hotel is located in a quiet environment with parking free for those who drive. The public onsen is great, both indoors and outdoors and the private onsen is very suitable for those who prefer privacy. The meals provided, both breakfast and dinner, are super delicious although the quantity is not a lot. Just 10 minutes walk from the hotel you will leave the quite environment to the crowed tourists area where Kirin Lake, Yufuin Floral Village and many other shops are available. It is good to those who enjoy shopping and there are many shops with specialities available to cater to different shopping needs. Overall I enjoy the stay a lot and would strongly recommend it to tourists.

Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐ What initially appeared to be an immersive cultural retreat was regrettably overshadowed by a series of incidents that not only deviated from the anticipated experience but also raised concerns regarding the establishment's commitment to guest well-being. 2. Hospitality: ⭐ The pinnacle of this misadventure was an unexpected guest in the form of a deceased fly within our dining fare. More disconcerting than the incident itself was the inadequacy of the response—an additional serving of meat hardly serves as recompense for a lapse in hygiene. This incident warrants a closer examination of Seikoen's adherence to health and safety standards. 3.Privacy Concerns: ⭐ A breach of privacy occurred when staff entered our room without consent, highlighting the need to reevaluate its protocols regarding guest accommodations. We enjoyed our stay! Although it was not right next to the Yufuin station, it offered shuttle to bring us to the hotel and back to the station. Very convenient indeed! We had a big family room with beds and futons. The beds and futons were very comfy. The air-con made the room temputure and humidity just right. We had a really good night of sleep. The private onsen in our room was wonderful! The temperature was adjustable and the view was nice. We feel like the skin was smoother after the onsen bath. We also tried the family onsen (reservation required). It was a bit hotter but the setting was special and different from that of the private onsen. There was a public onsen as well. The public onsen may need more cleaning as dust and small insect bodies was seen on the water. Other onsens were very clean. The kaiseki dinner and japanese breakfast tasted good! We usually eat slowly but the dinner was a bit rushy. Would be better if we could have more time to enjoy each dishes of the dinner. Anyways, The staff were very nice and helpful. They took good pictures too! Hope we can visit Seikouin again :)

노천탕이 있는 끝 객실을 사용했어요. 넓은 방에 시설이 잘 갖추어져 있고 깨끗하고 만족했어요. 1박 하는동안 4번 목욕할 정도로 맘에 들었습니다. 물이 좋아서 피부가 매끌매끌해신것 같아요. 직원들도 모두 친절하고 정성이 가득했고 저녁과 아침 식사도 아름답고 맛있어서 배부르게 먹을 수 있었습니다.

There are stairs in the entrance, please make sure your family can handle. Besides that, 100 points! Staff are really able to help and nice. We’ve booked standard room but like a VIP Public Onsen is reasonable size and great Standard room is quite big, new and clean Dinner was excellent, breakfast good It is not easy to get there if you don’t drive

The staff was excellent. They provided transportation to and from the train station. Very good food with attentive staff. We enjoyed the family onsen which you can reserve for 40 minutes. The futons (bedding) were a little on the thin side for me. Also the internet was on the weak side and slow.

The services and staff are excellent, especially the Korean male staff served us during dinner and breakfast. Also thank you to the staff for picking up us from/to the station, and the staff introduced us for the stay, and the one helped us to take photo at the entrance finally. Highly recommended this place!

직원 분들이 굉장히 친절합니다. 가이세키도 정갈하고 맛있어서 부모님께서 좋아하셨습니다. 그리고 제가 체크 아웃 후 긴린코 호수 가는 길에 운전 미숙으로 타이어 펑크가 나서 곤란한 상황이었습니다. 사고 수습 후 다시 숙소로 돌아가 도움을 요청하였는데 친절히 도와주셨습니다. 그리고 여행 일정에 차질이 생겨 어린 조카가 속상해서 많이 울었더니 선물까지 챙겨주셔서 진심으로 감사했습니다. 직원 분들 덕분에 남은 후쿠오카 여행 무사히 마치고 돌아갑니다. 정말 감사드립니다.

Lovely stay at Yufuin. There is a free pick-up and drop-off options available from JR Yufuin Station which is a must unless you want to walk up crazy hills to get to the property. The room we stayed had traditional tatami mats and plenty of space to lounge around before enjoying hot springs. This property allowed us to book a private bath free of charge, and also the public bath that is open til late which was convenient. There is also free Japanese kimono that you can wear during your stay. Many ryokans nowdays charge money to lend you kimono so it was nice that it was there free of charge. We booked Japanese kaiseki-dinner as extra, breakfast was included already into our booking. The food is absolutely divine at this property - Hats off to the chef! The dinner and breakfast was well-presented by attentive and courteous staff which made the stay very enjoyable. Thing to note of this property is that it is located in the mountains so there isn't much to do other than hot springs and a little walk around their courtyard. But it was perfect for us to have this quiet down-time during our travels.

The hotel is located in a quiet environment with parking free for those who drive. The public onsen is great, both indoors and outdoors and the private onsen is very suitable for those who prefer privacy. The meals provided, both breakfast and dinner, are super delicious although the quantity is not a lot. Just 10 minutes walk from the hotel you will leave the quite environment to the crowed tourists area where Kirin Lake, Yufuin Floral Village and many other shops are available. It is good to those who enjoy shopping and there are many shops with specialities available to cater to different shopping needs. Overall I enjoy the stay a lot and would strongly recommend it to tourists.

The facility is slightly dated. Dinner service was very rushed as if to get us to finish as soon as possible. The overall environment was very loud and lacks ambient. Our room is unfortunately in the corner room and therefore the insulation was very poor. There was a cool draft coming into the room overnight. Otherwise, the staff service was kind.

Me and my friends had a great time here!! They provide pick-up and drop-off services for free. You just need to send a message through expedia app in advance. Room ewas also perfect and clean. Everyday the flower was changed too. The best part was the meal. Every breakfast and dinner was exceptional, busy to take a photo.

We enjoyed our stay! Although it was not right next to the Yufuin station, it offered shuttle to bring us to the hotel and back to the station. Very convenient indeed! We had a big family room with beds and futons. The beds and futons were very comfy. The air-con made the room temputure and humidity just right. We had a really good night of sleep. The private onsen in our room was wonderful! The temperature was adjustable and the view was nice. We feel like the skin was smoother after the onsen bath. We also tried the family onsen (reservation required). It was a bit hotter but the setting was special and different from that of the private onsen. There was a public onsen as well. The public onsen may need more cleaning as dust and small insect bodies was seen on the water. Other onsens were very clean. The kaiseki dinner and japanese breakfast tasted good! We usually eat slowly but the dinner was a bit rushy. Would be better if we could have more time to enjoy each dishes of the dinner. Anyways, The staff were very nice and helpful. They took good pictures too! Hope we can visit Seikouin again :)

Tachiro-san and his team are brilliant. They are very attentive and they look after us very well during our stay. The kaiseki dinners and breakfast are very yummy. The staff were so polite and the accommodation provided a true Japanese experience. The included dinner (kaiseki) and breakfast (Japanese style) wearing our yukatas were true highlights. The family private onsen was also pretty special.
