Modern rooms, but small. Pool access via residential lift, waited half hour to get to pool deck, shared lift with residents moving furniture, their pets, felt unsafe. Car park is a nightmare. Should not be charged for privilege of using it. Long black hairs all over the clean white towels and bedding.

Overall the hotel is well situated with everything you need within reach about minutes travel; well maintained as the room is clean and lightings in working, sheets are clean, curtains working; equipped with essentials with nothing more or less. Drawbacks are that parking is inconvenient; air conditioning is a bit loud for sleep; elevators could have smells in the morning.

This is apartment marketed as Hotel. Very lovely check in staff. The car park was difficult to understand and navigate but got there in the end. I feel Art Series hotel marketing was misleading. There was no restaurant as part of The Chen, breakfast or room service or coffee in morning until cafe opened at 8pm. The bed was lovely and nice decor. The shower was awesome but hair in bathroom left by previous person or cleaner: The room not serviced unless you call and no mention of paid car park or I would gone elsewhere for the cost: I think and my opinion there needs to be a better information on your main website. Excellent Location with supermarkets, restaurants, shops and cafes within walking distance, transport and facilities are well located in this area. Easy Parking in the building is well served. Hotel service and facilities such as the roof top heated pool is a highlight.

First thing to know about this property is that it's not a purpose built hotel - rather it's situated in a mainly residential high rise tower. This means that it doesn't look like a hotel so is a bit hard to find. There is no typical expansive area in which you park while you check in. Instead, there is a gateway to a car park down the lane where you drop your car while you then navigate a labyrinth to find reception. Then you have to move your car to a second car park. In this process, we apparently witnessed someone break into the car park and steal from a storage locker. Doesn't give you a good feeling about the property or the security of the car park. The room itself was fine - nothing special but it was clean and comfortable. We paid extra for a balcony but it was completely enclosed in architectural mesh so you didn't feel like spending time out there enjoying the view - only for smokers. The staff were friendly and helpful but nothing really inspired us to stay there again and we would try another property.

It was alright , room was good , far walk for parking and pool, balcony wasn’t usable with mesh blocking view, parking is awful for hotel patrons . Area is very Chinese oriented so sometimes difficult to find variety of restaurants. Weird vibe sharing facility with apartment owners and not all hotel front desk staff spoke fluent English which was tough for some things

Bed was very comfortable, space a bit cramp for 2 queen bed. There is no room to walk from the other side of bed. Room service does not come to make the bed. We stayed on the 31st Dec to 6th of Jan and it’s only been cleaned once since we requested it directly to the staff cleaning next room on the 2nd Jan. When we put our sign on the door for the room to be cleaned the next day, nothing happened. We have to ask from the receptionist for the towels and bath soap, coffee, tea, toilet paper, etc. Rubbish are left outside on the hallway by the other guests nearby, and hasn’t been picked up by staff until the day we checked out. The downlight frame fell down from the ceiling in the bathroom,we called the receptionist, but it wasn’t fixed. Swimming pool has nice view and the water is heated. But there is no room near the pool for guests to change, so everyone go to their room in their wet swim suit. Parking is expensive and very limited. Luckily there are shopping centre parking nearby for us to park and street parking available after hours. Overall they can do better for a 4 star hotel standard. Won’t be back.

Great location. Good pool. Parking was better on this occasion with spots available. Front desk staff nice but service is awful if you actually need anything (front desk staff however apologetic). Easy check in and check out. Overall good value and we will continue to visit.

Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Supermarkt) waren gut. Toll war, dass die Straßenbahn direkt vor der Tür abfährt und es auch nicht weit bis zur Train Station ist. Insgesamt hat uns nicht so gut gefallen, dass der Teppich nicht so sauber war und verschiedene Aussagen zum auschecken gemacht wurden. Obwohl uns eine Zeit zugesichert wurde, kam am Abreisetag ein Anruf, wann wir dann aus dem Zimmer auschecken wollen. The Room Service ist nur einmal pro Woche, es wurde uns allerdings nicht bei Ankunft gesagt, dass wir diesen extra anmelden müssen. Gut, hat uns gefallen, dass es eine Möglichkeit zum Frühstücken gab und ein Kühlschrank vorhanden war. Die Betten waren sehr groß und sehr bequem. Insgesamt waren wir mit dem Aufenthalt zufrieden.

We requested for our room to be cleaned and it did not happen for three days straight. We had to ask for towels, robes and slippers that were advised on the website as luxury inclusions. The room was okay but not clean. Mould in the shower on the shower door. Carpets not vacuumed, with dried rice and food on the floor. Dust on most of the surfaces. Overall not very clean. Remote control for the television did not work. No foxtel only standard channels and limited. The kettle and toaster was also dirty so it did not feel like you wanted to use any items. Overall it was okay but we won’t be coming back.

The room itself was very nice and centrally located. On check in there was a half drunk bottle of cream left in the fridge which made us think the room wasn’t cleaned properly or rushed. Also had issues with Front desk and payment.

Nice, safe location Shower drain was a bit clogged but they sorted that very quickly, a bit dusty on some surfaces, black out curtains hard to push up against wall so it let some light in

Great stay overall, just a couple things to mention. We were able to check in as soon as we got to the hotel, around midday which was amazing. Staff were lovely and super nice the entire stay. Shops and transport very close by! When we asked if we could access the internet or netflix on the tv however, we were told we could only do that using a HDMI cord attached to a laptop. Asked if they had a cord with a usb-c attachment which they didnt. Also, the rooms arent very soundproof and the lounge chairs by the pool were broken. These things were definitely not deal breakers and like I said, the stay was really great, just things to look out for.

The Chen hotel was a good place to stay . The rooms were an adequate size,well sized bathrooms . The only problem was the traffic noise was loud at the busy times. With the bedding the doona was marked and looked like it hadn't been washed in a while. The sheets were clean otherwise and there were choices of extra blankets if needed. The rooftop for sunsets almost 360 degree views.

2nd time staying at this hotel within the week. The water faucets in shower stall, sink in bathroom, and in utility area were all difficult to adjust to the right temperature. Probably need adjustment. This is a different room from the one we stayed earlier the week.

We arrived at the accommodation and was told out booking was not on their systems and that there was not rooms available - even through rooms were still available online. Staff can only be described as rude . Accommodating and helpful clearly arent a part of the the companies client/customer services 👍

The roof top pool was amazing. Could be a little bit warmer in temperature since Melbourne is so cold at the moment. And gym was a little rusted and out of date. Never received my bond back after my stay there even though the reception staff said I would get it refunded.

Very, very comfortable bed! Well appointed room with everything needed. The room was very hot when I first got in, but the air conditioning worked well and it was comfortable after about an hour. Check in was simple, but the receptionist failed to explain that I would need to tap my key card to operate the lift to my floor. Consequently I went up and down afew times before another guest explained the system! She also failed to explain to put the card in the slot near the door to operate overhead lights, Luckily I worked that out for myself. A comfortable stay close to the hospital.

Staff were friendly and efficient. Car parking was very easy. Shops close by and an easy walk to RSL for Bistro meal or other eating options close by. Close to Epworth and Box Hill Hospitals and tram to city at front door.

We spent four nights this summer. The hotel is located in a high-rise apartment building in the center of Box Hill, a major Asian community neighborhood. Excellent location within minutes walk to shopping mall, restaurants and Box Hill train/tram station. You could find almost any type of Chinese cuisines. Pubic transport is very convenient. We took train to downtown, beach and zoos. The room is a bit small for the family but it provides everything we need.

Very comfortable stay, I just wish someone would have told me you have to ask reception to have your room made up. There is a restaurant on ground level called Zero Made - they had the most amazing chocolate moose cake I’ve ever experienced, it’s $18 but we’ll worth it - I’d recommend everyone try it when staying there.

The Chen runs on the HAPPY personality of this vietnamese lady running the front office . She will do her Best to assist customers . Thk u lady . The Boxhill central mall is great for asian food ,thats all . This mall could invite sports goods shop to be anchor tenant !! Add on a childrens play grd .
