Daeyoung Hotel Myeongdong

I had a great stay at Daeyoung Hotel Seoul. The bilingual front desk staff were consistently warm, helpful, and welcoming. When I arrived up the small uphill alley, they came outside right away to help with my bags, which made a great first impression and made me feel safe and cared for. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and it was easy to request extra towels at the front desk whenever needed. While there isn’t self-service laundry, the hotel offers a large laundry bag service where you fill the bag and receive your clothes back the same day at a very reasonable cost. It ended up being very convenient and saved me time. The location is excellent. It’s about one block from Hoehyeon Station (Line 4), making it simple to travel anywhere in Seoul. There are also plenty of nearby options for breakfast or late-night food, which was extremely convenient during my stay. One of the highlights was the rooftop. The open and unobstructed view of Namsan Tower from the top of the hotel was beautiful and memorable. It felt like a bonus experience that made the stay even better. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel was compact but very clean and staff were nice and kind. It's not facing a main street but easy to find if you follow the directions sent to you by hotel staff before the trip. Free coffee i available in the small lounge.

Has all the basic things for a great hotel stay. Clean. Helpful and friendly staff. Lift in hotel. Luggage storage. Convenient with transport e.g. about 3-4min walk to Hoehyeon station (1 stop from Seoul station) which has escalator access for luggage. Many buses.

Ich bin sehr begeistert vom Daeyoung Hotel in Seoul. Die Hotelmitarbeiter waren immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer wurde jeden Tag sauber gemacht und es wurden täglich Wasserflaschen ins Zimmer gebracht. Es gab eine Lobby mit einem Kaffee- und Wasserautomaten, sowie einer Mikrowelle. Die Lage war der Highlight. Man ist nach 5-10 Gehminuten im Myeongdong Street. Die Metrostation ist fast vor der Tür und man kann mit der Metro überall problemlos hinfahren. Ich werde nächstes Mal auf jeden Fall wieder das Daeyong Hotel in Seoul buchen. Vielen Dank!

The room was perfect for just me! I had everything I needed and the kitchen in the lobby had a microwave, water and coffee machine. The staff is AMAZING! So kind, so courteous, and staff can communicate in English as well. I loved it here. I wont bother to look elsewhere and will only book Daeyoung for my next Seoul trip. Its location is the perfect location in Seoul. There is also a beautiful view of Namsan Tower from the rooftop!

南大門の近くなので買い物やご飯に困ることはなかった。明洞まだ歩いていける。ランドリーは洗濯を依頼すると乾燥までして畳んで部屋に置いといてくれる。1回15000ウォンでした。水、冷蔵庫完備で不自由なく過ごせた。

Such a great stay, don’t miss the 5th floor for an amazing view of Namsan Tower.

ホテル自体は新しくないし、広くもないですが、きちんと掃除がされていて、若干？潔癖症の私でも、とても気持ちが良かったです。ソウルで、このロケーション、この価格帯で泊まれるホテルだとスタッフの愛想も期待しないのですが、皆さん愛想もよくとても親切でした。2日目朝から雨が降っていたのですが、傘の貸し出しもありました。一階には電子レンジがあり、水のサーバーもあって、コーヒーもいつでも飲めました。口コミがいいのも納得しました。屋上からはソウルタワーも見えました。

The staff was all friendly, smiling and ready to assist everyone, very accommodating. We had laundry service and was ready same day, the location was pretty good near store and lots lots of restaurants and cafe. I will recommend and will stay again next time I visit Seoul. Fantastic hotel. Close to subway station walking distance to Namdaemun and Myeong-dong. The hotel was clean and quiet. The rooms were comfortable on the smaller side but plenty big enough as only sleeping there. The beds were so comfortable a big plus. The staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would book again when we return to Korea. Yes it is situated up an alley but not a problem at all. Small roof top terrace with lovely views.

フロントスタッフはとても親切な方が多く不安はありませんでした。設備も韓国式で多少の劣化は仕方なく問題ありません。立地も明洞へ歩いて行けますし、地下鉄駅も近いため何処へ行くのも便利でした。ただ良くない点はタオル、寝具類カバーに何かしらの染みが必ずあります。特にひどかったのがガウンの首元が真っ黄色で、日本人感覚からとても不衛生に感じました。また滞在中の交換はガウンだけ？無かったと思います。(たたんでいるが染みの場所が同じ) その点だけ非常に残念です。

The room was very clean, and check in was quick and easy.

There was a strange smell throughout the building, especially in the rooms and bathrooms. I was staying in a single room, and it had only one tiny window, but that window did not face outside—it opened onto a passageway where people walked. In effect, it felt almost like being in a basement. The air conditioner also gave off an odor.

天台樓層，只有一隻小窗口面向工作天台；房間內有很重的樟腦氣味；空氣調節的遙控器有明顯污漬，坐廁板有污漬；最大問題是，衣櫃內有鎖抽屜櫃桶內有一隻舊白色短襪，完全不能接受😤。房價不是很便宜，但酒店房間質素差。我剛從福岡及釜山旅遊過來，之前的兩間酒店房價比這間平而質素比這間好很多。

Quarto limpo, cama confortável, banheiro com bom tamanho e agua quente com boa pressao. No Geral é um excelente hotel , bem localizado perto de tudo.

Cleanliness isn’t a high priority. All they did was just give you new towels and fold your sheet. They didn’t change the bedding or clean around the bathroom or floors

立地が良く、フロントの皆さんに温かな対応をしていただき、安心して宿泊できました。 ホテル自体は古めなのと、下水の臭いが少し気になりましたが、床暖房が入っていたので足元も暖かく、必要な物は揃っていたので不便はありませんでしたし、リーズナブルな料金で宿泊でき満足しております。

Staff was so friendly and helpful. The hotel was very conveniently located. The only bad thing was an unpleasant odour coming from the washroom and wardrobe. We only stayed one night, and the odour was present upon arrival.

Staff was very nice and room was average. Didn’t know toilet, sink, and shower were combined into one room.

The location was good because it was close to the metro. The staff was very friendly. The beds were rock hard. Did not sleep well. Also the air conditioner made the room extremely cold, but the minute it was off, the room was boiling hot.

Clean room. Very close to myeongdong shopping area. Very small room. Hot room until the air kicked in each night. (The owner turns off the air conditioning while you are away). It took about 30 minutes to cool down wach night.

Small room & cramped ok for short stay & weather being fine but cost very low for Seoul so bargain. Staff very good shower TV good. Near 2 markets but issues with Seoul as because of security google maps did not work. App used on T station advise was poor seemed to push taxis tube which was inappropriate if directions on App worked. Would recommend hotel

The walls are a little thin but great experience.

ソウル駅と明洞駅の真ん中に位置しており、マーケットも徒歩圏内にあり非常に便利。 泊まった部屋は狭かったです。 また、トイレとシャワーの仕切りがなかったので、シャワーを使用するとトイレも濡れると思います。(チムジルバンにあったのでホテルのシャワーは使用しませんでした)

布団カバーは最初からシミが付いてて汚かったし、チェックインもそちらの不手際で時間は掛かったし、正直また泊まりたいとは思えなかった。

総評としてはかなり良いです 値段が安いのでちょっと心配してましたが、口コミ通り、スタッフは誠実で優しいし、最寄り駅からは徒歩2.3分、明洞も南大門市場もソウルタワーも歩いていけかなり便利な交通。ホテル出たら駅に向かう道すがら2軒コンビニ、駅までに韓国料理やと中華があるので、到着初日が夜であまり遠くに行くのがという方も、食事には困らないかと思います。 マイナスではないですが、自分が困った留意事項は以下です。 到着が深夜（私は大韓航空ソウル着が23:20位の航空機）で、ホテル着いたのが深夜1時過ぎ。3つ星なのでフロントに人いないだろうなと思ってたけど、やはりおらず。ベルがあるのかと探したけど無くて、ここに電話してという張り紙が､､､､日本と同じようにかけたら繋がらず、韓国への国際電話じゃないと駄目で、かけ方から調べて、繋がったけど当然英語。英語で事情話してきてもらうというかなりハードル高いイベントをこさないとチェックインできずなので、お気をつけください。

Staff were welcoming. I got there earlier than the check in time, so my room wasnt ready but they took my luggage whilebi went for a shop. They gave free water and cleaned my room every day. The roof balcony had a view of the namsam tower. Its only a two minute walk to the subway. Would definitely stay there again.

Walking distance to the train and bus stops. They were also really nice and helpful when we checked in. We came before check in time so we left our luggages. When we got back, they were carried by the staff to our rooms. Highly recommended. Will definitely stay here again

Arrived in Seoul without reservations. At Gimpo Airport studied Expedia reviews. This property seemed to be a standout review-wise, and the superb location near Nandaemun Market and Myeongdong was attractive. When I arrived I was very happy with my choice. One of the tightest-run ships of any small hotel I have ever been to anywhere! Staff bent over backwards to help make my trip better. Helped with advice on DMZ trips, maps, directions. Spoke good English. Loved the rooftop small bench/table with view south to Seoul Tower. This became my go-to morning Zen spot to relax, decompress, prepare for the day, drink the excellent espresso coffee (free) from the machine in the lobby. The entire property was clean, clean, clean. I did have a basement no windows room several days as the property is always seemingly in demand and I had to take what was available. But the lack of windows in that small room was no big deal. I loved the feeling of safety, the wonderful staff, the generally excellent location for the foreign tourist; just wish I could have stayed for uninterrupted chunk of time, as the place being popular, I had to go elsewhere for several days in the middle, due to my lack of advance planning. This property deserves its consistently excellent reviews. It IS a little hard to find as are many hotel properties in Seoul, in a small alley off the main drag of Toegye-Ro. Nearby convenience store directed me to it that first night. All in all this was a great choice.

The staff was very kind and helpful, the location is awesome. 10min walk to Myeong-dong area and 2min to the nearest train station. A few great restaurants near by. Would definitely come back.

It is clean and basic, and that is good for this single traveler. Myeongdong subway station is a 5 minute walk so that is excellent

駅から近いが、ホテルの場所は細い道を入ったところにあり分かりづらかった。近くにコンビニもあり。明洞まで徒歩で行けて便利だった。ロビーは狭いがコーヒーが飲めて落ち着けた。ホテルの方はとても優しく日本語は話せなかったが、特に問題はなかった。部屋は広くはないためトイレの音は気になったが家族なら問題無いと思う。友達同士だと少し気を使うと思う。

Stayed for 6 nights in August. Perfect for solo travellers or couples. Given the chance i would stay again. For those looking on online maps find the path between hotel Mido and 24 7 CU convenience store the hotel is on the path to the right.

Hotel is located in an alley

Loved staying here. Near Hoehyeon Metro. And within walking distance if Myeongdong (15mins) and Naedaemun Market (10mins). The airport limousine stop is also about 5mins walking distance away. Very close to N Seoul Tower Cable Car as well (10mins walking distance). Staff are very friendly and willing to help. They even have umbrellas at the front for their guests to use during the day if its raining. The room is kept very clean.

The location is convenient for visiting Myeongdong Street. The hotel is a bit old and doesn’t offer breakfast. The staff is friendly, and it’s good value for the price paid.

会賢駅1番出口を出て、徒歩5分以内で着きます！近くにコンビニやスタバ、24時間営業してるご飯屋さんもあって、少し歩けば南大門市場に徒歩で行けて立地的には最高です！ チェックイン時間外でも荷物を預かってくれたので助かりました。部屋は狭いけど清潔だし素泊まりなら文句ないです。スタッフの方もとても親切です。また韓国へ行くならココに泊まりたいと思えるホテルでした！

ホテルの場所は少し分かりづらいCUコンビニの脇道を入って行きますが、角を曲がるとすぐにホテルが見えるので、地図通りに進めば問題なく到着できます 部屋は少し狭いですが、とても清潔でした 1階の談話室？給湯室？にはコーヒーマシンがあり、いつでもコーヒーが飲めるようです ホテルのスタッフはオーナーでしょうか、女性の方が常に笑顔で気遣ってくれます チェックアウトの後もホテルの階段下（3〜４段ですが）までスーツケースを運んでくれました 今回、とても気持ちよく過ごせました

24時間営業で食事が出来る店やコンビニが近い、両替所やコーヒーショップ、駅も近い！立地はとても良い、また利用したいです。

The hotel easily met our needs: air conditioning, a mini fridge, elevator, and a lockable drawer were amenities that we really liked. No breakfast is available, however there are plenty of coffee shops and convenience stores in the area. The Airport Shuttle is extra, but the staff was happy to arrange it for us. It is also near a subway station.

三泊させていただきました。明洞に徒歩で行ける距離でありながら、ホテルの周りは静かで、美味しいドーナツ屋さん。チキンやさん。全て100mほどの距離です。ホテルの部屋は、お安いホテルなら、こんな感じだと思います。スタッフさんの対応もよく、無料コーヒーやお水が嬉しかったです。ホテル代は安く抑えて、食事買い物にその分使える、オススメのホテルです

There are many hotels, convenience stores and Shinsegae department store nearby. Although the room is small, but it is very clean. The remote control can control the air con, lighting and the TV, and this is convenient. The location is amazing. Just few minutes to the subway station exit. It is very close to the famous tourist attraction spots, I walked to Myeongdong, Namdaemun Market and Namsan Park. It is just 3 subway stations to Dongdaemun and 1 station to Seoul station (Lotte Outlet). The staff are very nice and helpful too. It has a high CP value and I highly recommend to those looking for a cheaper but nice hotel.
