The property itself is excellent. However, the parking garage is a separate entity from the hotel and offers no discount nor special hotel guest pricing. It was quite expensive, but in-line considering the adjacent areas. Parking is quite a nightmare in the DC area. On a good note, Uber/Lyft are excellent options, readily available, easy pickup/drop locations, and reasonably priced.

I like the patio sections. The breakfast staff were nice. Nice food selection. I do think the pool area could use a few umbrellas or coverings in case some people want shade. Overall I enjoyed it. Would stay again

Loved being on the Wharf, but what made this hotel exceptional waa the service and the hospitality of the staff. I booked the hotel because it included breakfast, it was on the Wharf, and it had a rooftop pool. I enjoyed the pool but would have liked it to be deeper for actual swimming. The breakfast buffet was quite nice, but that’s not the main reason for my 5 star rating. It was the the willingness of the staff to accommodate our request for a room change after one night from a king bed to two queen beds. They even gave us a river view room for no additional charge. In general, everyone was so helpful, and always with a smile!

Loved location. Breakfast was good. Bottled water not provided for guests at this time. Insufficient pool towels. Guests walking dripping wet from pool elevators. Caused slippery floors. Poor safety precautions!!!

Had a great stay at the hotel overall - only issue was parking. They have an underground garage that was always full (open to public for shopping center nearby) so it took an hour to find parking on the street after giving up on the garage, and we couldn’t move unless we wanted to risk losing our spot. Also 100$ for one night valet is insane in my opinion.

Great place to stay if you’re seeing a show at the Anthem. The breakfast was nice, the room was good. The elevators are odd - a weird pad on the outside rather than inside the unit, but not too bad.

The shower needed to be cleaned better in the corners black mold, the beds weren't that comfortable as I remembered them. It was a nice stay other than the things mentioned.

Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. The hallways smelled. They could do a better job cleaning the common areas. Room was overall clean (no dust), however, it was not vacuumed. Overall moderately satisfied.

The entire hotel is dirty. The breakfast area especially. One of the elevators had something extremely sticky spilled in it. Instead of cleaning it up a wet floor sign was placed on it for several hours. We went to breakfast and came back several hours later and it hadnt been cleaned despite a mop bucket sitting 20 feet away from the elevator the entire morning. Pathetic. The Canopy next door is superior in every way.

I arrived for check in, there wasn’t any parking. I get to my room and the sink was falling out. They sent the maintenance man Benny which he was kind and repaired the sink. Only to wake up the next day to mold in the bathroom shower. I was switched to another room where the knob in the sink was spinning in a circle and the sink was a slow drain. I wouldn’t return there again.

Our family enjoyed staying in this hotel. The breakfast was decent, and the location of the hotel to many restaurants on the wharf was great for dinner. After a full day of walking to various DC sites, we enjoyed relaxing outside on their chairs, looking at the water and watching the people go by. The only downside was some mold in the shower. Otherwise, the room was great.

This hotel is in a great location with many restaurants around it. The rooms do need some updating and probably some deep cleaning, but the staff is very kind and helpful. The breakfast in the mornings is great!

Staff were very kind. Bathroom lock in room was broken so the door wouldn’t stay closed because it’s a sliding door. The room layout with the tv in the middle of the room is bizarre. Convenient location.

Lots of nice pubs and eateries in the area - ranging from fine dining to budget-friendly ones. You will also find a wide range of good restaurants if you are okay with a 10/15-mins walk. I loved the location and the vibe. We travelled with two teenage kids and it was a good comfortable stay. Breakfast is really good, with helpful and courteous staff around. We had booked a family room with a capacity of 4 occupants and the sofa bed could be used for two guests. Housekeeping staff gave us extra pillows, sheets, and blankets. However, the sofa bed's middle section appeared to be sunken, causing an uneven surface - it wasn't drastically uncomfortable, it wasn’t perfectly flat, which made it less supportive. The room was NOT one of those rooms that are said to offer a partial view of the river, but we DID HAVE a partial view of the river. There's a CVS nearby too. Important point - there's no free parking space. You have to pay $65 per night for valet parking (you can take the car out as many times as you want) or $62 if you park yourself (parking charge gets added each time you drive in and out).

Booked a room with a pull-out sofa bed and a king bed. Realized sofa bed was broken and would not pull out when family was preparing for bed. When informed front desk, learned that hotel knew sofa bed was broken at time of check-in yet did not inform me or give us a different room that could accommodate us. When discussed broken sofa bed issue with front desk, front desk assured me that a full-size, not a twin-size, rollaway bed would be provided shortly. A twin-size rollaway bed was provided. We made due with the limited sleeping space.

Overall it was a good stay but there were some issues... Fantastic location, reasonable room, good A/C, not a lot of water pressure on the shower, struggled to keep up with the breakfast rush on Sunday. Would stay there again but mainly for the great location.

Rooms are pretty small. Hitch in the middle of the room with a giant TV is an odd design choice. Doesn’t leave much usable space in the room. But it was clean, and the hotel’s location is excellent.

Absolutely excellent staff,. Dee at the bar to Lala at the front desk to the manager Ocean. Everyone was accommodating and friendly. The rooms were super clean and comfortable and the overall experience was superb. Best hotel Ive ever stayed at.

Our 5th night in, someone was trying to break in by banging the door 4 times around 8:30pm and each time door kept opening to the safety hook. I called the front desk immediately and the maintenance guy examined the door and acknowledged door was somewhat wobbly and loose. I asked them to call the police and they said it was not necessary as they will do walkarounds. After I expressed several tomes that we do not feel safe, They moved us to other room. After this incident, noone checked in with us how we were doing( my daughter is 11 and she was quite shaken). Best part was the supervisor who was working on Aug 25th morning, she was helping us at checkout, although there was a note about the incident, not even a casual comment asking how the stay was. When i asked about the security deposit, instead of answering my question, directed to her junior staff to answer questions as if my question is not worth her time. ( there was no guest either check in or check out)she started chatting and laughing with her other staff. Best part was the GM said that other guest tried to enter our room by mistake. He did not check with his staff who was in charge that night. The supervisor moved us to other room because the door was not properly locked

We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt House DC/Wharf! Property was clean and relaxing, we enjoyed use of the rooftop pool which had wonderful views and the complimentary breakfast exceeded our expectations. All staff was friendly and courteous. We loved the area as there are many restaurant options and enjoyed just hanging out on the wharf.

Finding the lobby was frustrating upon arrival. Map quest kept sending us to dead ends. Parking was expensive $65. Otherwise the hotel was clean, nice, in a great area with lots of restaurant options, paddle rentals and great views. Easily walkable to the stadium.

We had a hard time finding our hotel. It was a nice place but it needs more signs from street. The maps guide you to drive down a street that is closed and only for walking. It was just really hard to find.

It was really hard to find the hotel entrance. No signs on the walls. We had a hard time finding the lobby and the entrance. Needs more signs on the wall and Windows. Breakfast was included the hotel price but around 9:30 am was no coffee. The coffee holder was empty. No one was checking it and fill it up. Bathroom in the lobby was dirty and it was no airflow. The receptionists were kind.

The only vegan options were the usual suspects cereal and bagels. The ac in our room is apparently motion sensored so everytime we left the room it would stop pumpung out cold air. Had to borrow a box fan from management to combat thr heat. Had to pay an additional 62 dollars to park the car even though the room was 280 dollars. Seems a little much to not have some type of parking discount or validation.

Great location in the harbor area with many great dining options. The hotel rooftop pool is wonderful. The buffet breakfast was very good with lots of options and plenty of seating options. The room was gorgeous - bright, spacious, comfortable and very clean. Wonderful option and close/walkable to everything!

The hotel is really convenient to the wharf and all its restaurants and shopping. However, we went to the pool twice and both time there were no towels to use. The bar also closed before 12 on Saturday night, which was disappointing. However the breakfast was excellent!

Nicely tucked in the middle of the Wharf. Beds were comfy. Food in the buffet breakfast was good. The french toast always seemed hard but that might be because it sits in a warmer.
