Tru By Hilton Savannah Midtown

I loved all of the service except the fact that they did not have a working ice machine on any floors. One ice machine is clearly not enough to accommodate that size hotel. The One ice machine they had was broken; disappointing.

Nice property, pet friendly and right across from the shopping centers and restaurants to eat.

Overall the property was clean, room was fine but the staff was sub par. I understand things happen but a smile and kind communication can make up for it. The ice machine was broken and had a sign to ask front desk for ice. Upon asking for ice the girl was rude and seemed inconvenienced by having to get ice. Then claimed they had one bag of ice and refused to get anymore. If that’s the case fine but a smile and an “I’m really sorry for the inconvenience” would have gone a long way. The lady at check in seemed annoyed we were there. Greeted us with a frown and a “checking in?” After a 5 hour drive and being exhausted a slight smile and a tiny bit of welcoming enthusiasm would have been nice. And had this happened the ice issue wouldn’t have been such a big deal. Poor service hurts the overall experience.

I really liked the lobby design

Loved the lobby area. I was able to plug in and work peacefully with a nice view outside.

The staff was friendly and helpful it was clean very nice lobby for games and playing pool This year was very comfortable when you were a walk away from shopping and dining. Recommend this place.

Well decorated hotel with 24-hour market in lobby

Great, well thought out common areas with places for kids, adults and people who need to get some online work done.

Cleanliness was superb! I loved the fact that even though we had our dog we were given a nice room and welcomed throughout the entire property. The lobby was such a hangout place and the snack/breakfast was great. we will be back.

Nice location, nice rooms, but on the 2nd day my wife found a cockroach on the bathroom. A big one!

The room was not cleaned properly. It was disgusting. Huge brown stain on the sheets that looks like human waste as well as make up on the towels. I was staying here for work and have canceled all further reservation and will not allow my team to stay here. Please contact me to discuss.

Nice hotel. When I left and came back, they cleaned the room halfway did not clean the shower. There was air all in the shower from the night before.

Lobby was clean, and check-in was seamless . The room was comfortable and clean as well. Morning breakfast was very good too!

This hotel was a perfect location to downtown Savannah (15 min drive). Very clean staff was friendly and the free breakfast was good, lots of options.

There was trash under the bed, sticky rings on the side table, footprints on the floor, and hair in the shower.

Upon checking in, I checked my room and found somebody else’s hair all in the bed on the sheets. It was clear that the housekeeping staff had only pulled up the comforter and had not bothered to change out the dirty sheets that is disgusting and ruined my entire stay at this hotel.

Room was great other than the see thru blind covering the window with no curtains.

Super clean, looked promising, but learned that walls are paper thin, can clearly hear phone calls in next door room. Hallway noise was loud. Then neighborhood was loud with commercial garbage pickup at 4am.

The room was clean and very functional. Lots of outlets to charge things. The shower was one of the best I've seen in this level of hotel. The lobby was a nice gathering area. Wish they had microwave ovens in the room.

We enjoy Tru hotels; there is a level of quality that we havent quite found with other hotel chains. This hotel was no different; rooms were clean, spacious, we enjoyed the lobby and breakfast, and the staff were very nice. Our only reservation for this particular location is that there is a very loud restaurant/bar behind the hotel that operates very late into the evening. The music is incredibly loud, and patrons come and go all night long. We found that by keeping the fan in the room on all night, we could block out most of the noise, but we did wake occasionally to the sounds of people at the bar across the parking lot, extremely loud music, etc. This is by no means the hotels fault, nor something they can control. The hotel and staff were wonderful and very accommodating. We just recommend some ear plugs or turning on the AC fan for the evenings that the bar is very busy!

The front desk staff was AMAZING. The room was really loud and I could hear music and people talking until around midnight. The bed was uncomfortable and the microfiber sheets feel cheap.

Check in was quick and easy and shenika gave really great recommendations and she was warm and friendly. I will definitely stay here again

Staff very professional and very helpful. Front desk

The checkin was quick and easy. When i got to my room the the ac unit had spilled water all on the floor. I went back to the front desk and explained what was wtong. She quickly put my family and i up in a different room. The room was very good and the breakfast has a wide variety of items to choose from. I highly recommend this location.

We had bugs in the room coming thru the air conditioner. PM front desk worker was doing personal calls on front desk phone and not answering front calls from room had to walk down to front desk and still worker continued to stay on personal calls while trying to answer customer questions

Brinn (not sure if I’m Spelling name correctly) was extremely helpful and even brought us extra hangars and a pillow when housekeeping wasn’t available. She gave us great suggestions for visiting historic Savannah including where to park etc. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. We were a quick drive into the historic area and very close to some great restaurants. The only minor issue was the noise above us. When the guests above us walked around, it was so loud. Not sure if they were just pounding/stomping as they walked, or if the floors were just that thin. Otherwise an excellent stay

First impressions…this area is sketchy! Sat in our car for almost 30 min debating on if we should just take $150 loss and go somewhere else. Homeless people constantly walking through the parking lot. We decided to give it a try. Once inside the lobby was nice. The front desk clerk was super nice. The first room we got was not. Not only is their room furniture basically non existent, what they did have was not practical nor comfortable. Closer inspection and the room was disgusting. Front desk clerk was apologetic and tried to accommodate us. We looked at another room on a different floor and the smell of weed would knock you down as soon as we exited the elevator. Finally found another room on the same floor as first room but opposite side of the hall. Cleaner…but same non functioning non comfortable layout and furniture. At least it was cleaner. We didn’t know until about 10-11 pm that there was a club next door. We originally thought it was storming because the base was so loud and rumbling…it shook the floor. We were extremely disappointed in this hotel and it definitely didn’t meet what I feel is the Hilton name standard. Granted the horrible experience, the staff was amazing and so nice and it isn’t their fault.

Clean room& good breakfast. Convenient location

This property isn’t in the best area of town. I booked this room for my son and I to visit Savannah. There were a lot of people hanging out while we were driving to the hotel.

It was close to everywhere I needed to go

I paid well over what I expected to pay even for a very acclaimed location to get the quality of a cheap highway motel. Felt robbed. No fruit, no juice, no complete eggs, only eggbeaters were left. Breakfast was embarrassingly poor and at 7:30 am I was told I had arrived "late" for the advertised breakfast options! when Breakfast time lasted until 10 am.

Great hotel and breakfast was amazing.

the property was ok. not in the best area of town. breakfast was a joke. no food available. out of eggs, out of sausage gravy, out of everything.. no refills. I know they just put out a small amount and if you get there at 8:30 or 9 you are out of luck. free breakfast is just that, none existent.

Excellent property, good service, great amenities, & delicious breakfast with many options.

the staff were nice. the beds were comfortable and the room was modern. the free breakfast can probably be skipped - too crowded, people coughing and sneezing, kids touching everything. we needed a place to stay for 1 night and this place was perfect.

I think the breakfast could have been better. Other than that, everything was great.
