The room was ok but it was very loud. The dining area is above some of the rooms and there is not enough sound deadening so you can hear stomping and chairs being moved and it shakes some of the things on the ceiling making even more noise. Also due to the nature of the room being where it is the rooms windows are covered with thick bushes so there isn’t the ability to let sun in the room let alone see outside. Overall the property was fine and got the job done but for $300 it was not good enough.

This is a converted factory and so some of the rooms are basically underground. They are huge, but if natural light is important to you, avoid floor one That said - the room was huge, two large beds, a sofa, coffee machine, fridge, it had everything we needed. Helpful attentive staff. Restaurant was closed for dinner on the day we were there, be aware you might have to go and find food after a journey.

We love Hudson, and used to be there all the time, so this was to be a fond return. We also love the Wick and where it is set. But we really don’t want to be at a wedding venue, where that becomes the focus for the property. We certainly don’t want to be up until 3 AM because of noisy celebrants. But the man at the front desk was very responsive when I called about that. We would also like to think that a slight extension on checkout, from 11 AM until noon, is the reasonable norm. Especially on a Sunday, in a town like Hudson, where not many would be expected to arrive. As it was, we were up for our anniversary, 38th to be exact, but I had to run a class online until noon, as I do every Saturday and Sunday morning. I thought I would be able to do so at the Wick, but I guess I know better moving forward.

cleanliness was excellent. I stayed in a room without a window. There was a window high in the ceiling that was covered and you could not open it. I found it odd to stay in a room without a window visible. Next time I will make a request to have a window I can see out of.
