Áurea Museum by Eurostars Hotel Company

We had a great stay at the Aurea Museum Hotel. It is in a great location and our balcony sea view room was modern, spacious and had a great balcony. There was no shade (awning or umbrella) and given that it was south facing it was very hot throughout the day - so unfortunately we didn’t use it much. The gym was pretty well equipped- an internal room with only a couple of high windows but quite spacious for this part of the world. The hotel staff were all friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

Nice hotel with a convenient location a few blocks from commerce square. Excellent bedding and decent room size. Great breakfast buffet, amazing. But Water pressure of the shower is way too weak (and technician who came twice could not make a difference) and the drain, way too slow. This is cheap. This hotel has everything to be a 5 star - including a hefty price - but it is definitely not. Room service is done on trays (even for two people ordering) and spoon/salt n pepper/napkins… missing! Food was good though.The spa needs attention: hammam not working at all during the whole week stay, dry sauna working but with water remaining on the floor (!). Massage was good but too expensive too for what it was. In essence, helpful professional staff but a decent 4 star hotel with good location that requires management closer supervision, optimization of premises and equipment and services, to be up to the price requested. I don’t mind paying when well deserved but here Too expensive for what it actually delivers.

Bellissimo albergo nel centro di Lisbona. Sorge sulle rovine romane e al suo interno ha anche un piccolo museo gratuito. Stanze confortevoli. Colazione di ottimo livello. Personale sorridente e disponibile. La spa al suo interno costituisce un plus e l'ho trovata tutto sommato facilmente accessibile..

Super nice staff at all touch points, helped me work on both early checkin and late checkout. Breakfast buffet was also quite good. Perhaps, on the margin, for a hotel in this category I would have hoped for an actual hotel bar, somewhat more upscale gym facilities, and slightly better room decor (large open floor space without rugs made for a spartan feel). But overall very nice.

Wonderful gem of a hotel. 5 star experience and ideal location. Ideal for the cruisers or a short walk to the centre. Spar was a nice bonus.

The museum portion was very unique and a great surprise Staff was very friendly, service was fantastic and the breakfast buffet was very diverse with fresh ingredients could use an actual bar section though instead of just a bar cart type section in the restaurant

Lovely hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Only down side is you have to book to use the pool. Meant we didn’t use it, as we couldn’t work it round our other plans.

Hotel situato sul lungo-fiume in prossimità del centro, arredamento moderno e stanze con vista sul fiume. La piscina è molto piccola e si può accedervi solo su prenotazione (1 ora max), ma nonostante ciò non abbiamo trovato un lettino né un appendi asciugamani per appoggiare le nostre cose.

Very clean everywhere. Lovely polite attentive staff and very accommodating and helpfull. Fabulous spa too. We had a super stay. We can highly recommend this hotel. Thank you!

Great property, showing a bit of aging in the carpets that need to be updated in the hallways. Hotel is in the hillside so the back of the hotel rooms have no view. Be sure to specify that you want a river view. Most of the rooms are nice and spacious with a river view, but there are smaller rooms with the rock face of the hillside that are not good at all and smelled moldy. After checking in, we went downstairs and requested other rooms which they gave us right away. The rest of the stay was awesome.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, nicht mittendrin, daher angenehm ruhig, aber trotzdem zentral. Unser Zimmer lag zum Innenhof, daher absolut ruhig, zudem war im Zimmer noch eine Tür zum Fur des Zimmers, somit drangen keine Geräusche ins Hotelzimmer. Leider war das Sofa, welches im Zimmer stand nicht sauber. Es wurde dann zwar so gut es ging gereinigt, allerdings hätte man von einem 5 Sterne Hotel erwartet, dass es komplett ausgetauscht wird oder uns ein anderes Zimmer angeboten wird. Wir haben das Sofa zumindest nicht mehr genutzt. Im Bad war Duschtürdichtung kaputt, welche dann ganz abgebrochen ist. Wir hatten sie dann im Bad gegen de Wand gelehnt, wo sie dann die nächsten drei Tage bis zu unserer Abreise stehen blieb. Auch dies passt nicht zu einem 5 Sterne Hotel. Der Kosmetikspiegel wurde die ganze Zeit (wir waren für 5 Nächte dort) geputzt, es waren von Anfang an deutlich sichtbare Fingerabdrücke drauf. Beim Frühstücksbuffet musste man oft darauf waten, dass nachgefüllt wurde. Enttäuschend war, dass es keine frischen Säfte gab.

Very clean room and good staff

空調設備問題頻繁，空調溫度及噪音令人困擾；地點安全安靜，服務尚可，處理危機能力不足；早餐服務很好，員工友善；以五星級飯店來說，整體表現實在令人失望。浴室排水孔有霉味，電器插頭會失效。房間經理對房間妥善的品質管理有嚴重問題。

The maintenance person came to help with the bad smell/odor in the bathroom. We appreciate his effort. Unfortunately nothing change with the smell.

The hotel itself is in a great location and was beautiful. Front desk staff friendly and accommodating. However, maid service was lacking. Twice we found brown spots (on our sheet and on our coverlet) that looked like feces. When we called to tell them, we were told it was likely rust from the dryer. They did replace them. Also we had asked for extra towels and everyday we had to request them again as the maid would not replace what she took. In addition, our room (309) a/c was extremely cold when we got in. Maintenance fixed it, but then it got extremely warm. Thermostat did not work at all.

My husband and I stayed in a double room with terrace for two nights. Our room was clean and well appointed. We liked the world map during the Age of Discovery on the wall. The view of the Tejo River from the terrace was gorgeous. We happened to see one of the cruise ships leaving the port of Lisbon. Also, we enjoyed the hotel’s free archaeological remains tour after breakfast. What a historic hotel! The hotel is within walking distance to many attractions, restaurants and train/subway stations.

Overall we liked this property. The one knock on it was the air conditioning did not work very well and it was a fairly stuffy in the afternoon /evening.

My room is spacious and clean The size of double bed is bigger than king size. The hotel is within 10 walk to the down down and walking distance to the old historic sites. Also, we had museum visit inside the hotel which is very surprising.

The location of the hotel is very convenient and easily walkable to the sights in Lisbon. Our room was a nice size and fairly comfortable, but did get a bit warm even with the air conditioning. Overall, we had a good experience.

Très bel hôtel tout prêt des lieux touristiques. Nous avons seulement déjeuné au restaurant de l’hôtel. Le buffet déjeuner était très bien mais coûtait 25 Euros. Le personnel de l’hôtel était très sympathique. Seuls bémols: la chambre était petite et à la réservation les photos montraient une rembarde vitrée offrant une vue sur la Tage, mais la rembarde de notre chambre était en béton et haute (cachant la vue de la rivière).

Staff was young and inexperienced. Common areas are very nice but the rooms are extremely dark. Very poor lighting.

Difficult hotel to talk about! Positives - good position. Smart hotel, probably 3/4 star. Breakfast good. Rooms OK but see below. Unusual museum in hotel of Roman wall ruins. Nice touch with bottles of wine and fruit delivered each day. Negatives - minimalist rooms to extent that the bathroom has absolutely nowhere to put a wash bag. Actually had to use the bidet to find a place (or floor by shower). On balcony just one chair to sit in sun? So, the hotel is fine but has a few shortcomings that could be very easily resolved.

They’re under staffed, the request of drinking water takes 1hour to be delivered. They cleaned my room at 2:45pm instead of morning.

Staffs are not helping us. Just one person is handling all the guests.

The staff was nothing short of amazing, they had the best tips, set up our transportation and made sure we had every thing we could possibly want. The museum tour along with the neighborhood was filled with history and beauty. The best choice I’ve made in a hotel in all the traveling I’ve done. Exceeded our expectations.

We met 2 extraordinary employees in this hotel: 1) a young man, still trainee, who provided an astonishing detailed description of what to see where in Lisboa - a real professional young talent - and 2) a service person (Natalia) during the breakfast, who provided many extra miles of service, and all with a winning smile - a real sunshine in that hotel! Congratulations to the hotel for hiring real talents. It is these persons who make a hotel stay an excellent experience!

We did not have a good experience with the management staff. We were delayed by one day due to a missed connection with the flight delaying our arrival to Lisbon by one day. We immediately reached out to Hotels.com to advise them that we need to cancel the first of two night stay because of the problem with the flight (providing more than 24 hrs of notice). They contacted the hotel and advised them of the change. We were told by Hotels.com that they contacted the hotel on our behalf and were told by the Hotel that when we arrived to advise them that Hotels.com contacted them on our behalf to advise them of the cancellation due to a flight issue. When we got to the hotel they said that because we booked through Hotels.com they could not remove the first night charge unless they heard from Hotels.com. We confirmed with Hotels.com that they notified them which they did. The hotel said that because we booked with hotels.com they would not remove the charge. We explained over and over again that Hotels.com did reach out to them in a timely manner but they still would not remove the charge for the night we did not stay there. I would not have known about this hotel if it were not on Hotels.com. This is terrible customer service - WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. Most hotels would have honored the request to keep there customers happy in hopes they would recommend to other travelers. Stay somewhere else!

One of the friendliest, most service-oriented staff I ever encountered. Marcia, in Reception was exceptional! The location is perfect for walking to many shops and restaurants and is also close to many of the city’s attractions. The room was clean, spacious, quiet, and had great views of the river. I highly recommend this property and expect to return often.

The Property was very pretty, centrally located, clean and safe. However, the best quality was the knowledgeable helpful staff!! Shout out to Katarina and Leonardo!!!!

Poor customer service

This was my second stay at Áurea Museum Hotel and my fourth experience with Eurostars Hotel Company, and once again everything was excellent. A special thank you to Miss Sara and Mr. David for their outstanding service. Miss Sara, in particular, made this stay truly exceptional. She handled my check-in in a very professional and warm manner, took care of everything smoothly, and followed up several times during my stay to ensure everything was perfect. Her attention to detail and genuine care made a big difference. Mr. David was also very kind and helpful throughout my visit. I truly appreciate the hospitality and I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. Looking forward to staying again.

Áurea Museum has a very convenient location at the Alfama close to Cathedral, Praça de Comércio and Sao Jorge Castle. It is very quiet at night, staff provides excellent service

Hotel was great and so was the staff. The location is amazing and outside of the busy city center area, so it’s easy to get in and out and there is parking out front. The hotel is nice and clean and a good place to relax. It’s quiet and still close to everything.

Property is in an excellent location can walk to anywhere with lots of dining options and lots of tourist attractions within a walking distance. The hotel itself is very clean and very nice.

Very nice hotel and very good customer service by most people in the front desk. Do not travel to Lisbon in June. The whole month is a big party. The noise does not stop until 5AM. Great location is you like to party late.

The Roman ruins in the hotel's lower level set this property apart from any other I've seen. The spacious and elegant rooms are another plus. Breakfast is too expensive.

Great location for taking a cruise. The port is across the street. Location is close to city center. Easy walk to most sites. The room was big and the amenities were very welcomed. The staff very friendly. The breakfast buffet was a good value compared to eating out. Chef Rodrigo made me a excellent omelette. I would stay again.

We spent four wonderful nights at this hotel. The staff was superb, the food exquisite and the room among the best in which I have ever stayed. The small archeological museum on site was fascinating as well. Would eagerly stay there again.

This hotel is ok. It felt very sterile to us and the breakfast compared to others in Portugal was just ok

A very enjoyable stay. Our room was good and staff friendly and room care very efficient. Breakfast at 25 Eur each wasn't something we did more than once..Lots of other options outside unless you fancy a feast at breakfast. We were staying during the the first week of Festas de Lisboa. So reasonable loud at weekends after dark.

The room was fantastic. We ate breakfast at the restaurant once, it was buffet style and had lots of options. The hotel was located in a beautiful spot, and was easy to walk around. We would definitely stay again!

Great property facing the river, in old town steps To winding streets with quaint restaurants offering fado. We booked a room with a terrace which was amazing to watch the sailboats and cruise ships. Great shops very close to us and too many restaurants to choose from. The breakfast at the hotel was delicious and abundant and the staff was excellent.
