I was in an apartment with separate bedroom for two weeks. The kitchen was useful and had what you need, e.g. hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, Nespresso, plates, pots, pans, cutlery. You might want to take a knife sharpening block because the ('sharp') knives could barely cut butter. The living area, bedroom and bathroom are all fine. There's lots of space. There's some noise from the street outside, but it's a quiet area generally and the noise stops in the evening. There's loads of wardrobe space in the bedroom. The TVs have around 20 German terrestrial channels. To connect your own devices, you'll need a long HDMI cable. Check-in is done on a device; I never spoke to a staff member during my two weeks. There's a laundry room in the basement with washing machines and dryers. It's €2 per wash or drying cycle which can be paid by cash or card. The location is very handy, with regular S-Bahn trains to Mitte (takes 15mins) and trams to other locations. There's a café on the ground floor. I had coffee and a pastry there several days. They also sell sandwiches, pizza and alcohol, which other customers seemed to enjoy. Opening hours were all over the place though. There's a discount supermarket in the same building, which is open 07:00-21:00 except Sunday. It's not fancy but it has the basics. Within a five-minute walk, there are better supermarkets (Edeka), several good restaurants, a bakery and two pharmacies.

Mostly this place was a nice place to stay. The S stain entrance is right next to the building and the tram drops off in front of it, so public transportation was great. If you plan to do laundry do so at your own risk, the dryer did not work and of course the front desk didn’t care because they are leased and do not own them. As a business you should know that if it’s in your building it reflects on you. Provide a working service or don’t provide one. That was my only issue, the coffee shop was nice to have in the morning and the access to public transportation were great. Also it was very safe with the key card system.

One of the best stays ever. I do not where to start. The room was very nicely appointed, cozy, stylish even. All little details are thought off, like sockets in convenient places. Furniture is new and convenient to store your things (I had a lot of stuff and all fit comfortably). The wi-fi signal was great. The tv was great too, having a few international channels, which is not always a case in German hotels. Too And bathroom very clean. Microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, hair dryer - all worked fine. The cafe by the lobby serves amazing breakfasts. The s train is basically one minute walking away, and you can be in central Berlin within 20 minutes, trains are frequent.

The apartment was super clean and well equipped. We arrived late at night, and the self checkin was very easy and fast. The elevator is always broken. When I checked out and I was on the 4th floor with 4 suitcases, the elevator was also broken and I had to carry 4 suitcases down. The heating does not work even though I asked more than once to fix it.

Mi sono trovata benissimo. Ho gradito molto la mia camera, estremamente comoda, con cucina molto ben attrezzata. Riscaldamento ottimo (è stata una settimana di gelo intenso a Berlino). La lavanderia mi è stata utile. Tornerò senz'altro. Grazie.

No air conditioning, which was not clear on the property description and we assumed was provided. No parking or guest vehicle loading area at all. The next door cafe owner is unpleasant and the cafe inventory delivery uses the elevator, takes priority over guest use of the elevator. It is in a good location for public transportation and retail support, appears safe, building is relatively new.

Check in hat nicht reibungslos funktioniert plus dort war keiner erreichbar. Das Zimmer war dreckig auf den Boden waren weiße Flecken und die Ablage war auch nicht gereinigt. Da kein Personal vorhanden war bzw. Keiner an der Rezeption konnte man auch kein neues Zimmer bekommen. Ich bin sehr enttäuscht da ich zwei Tage dort übernachten musste.

This is like a home away from home. You have your own apartment with a well equipped kitchen, saving you lots of money on dinner. All is new and clean, and the bed is comfortable. The interaction with the staff is minimal and the receptionist is not 24/7.

Super Unterkunft! Es war sauber, in der Küche war alles vorhanden was man zum kochen benötigt und das Bett war gemütlich. Ein paar kleine negative dinge gab es trotz allem natürlich auch. Der Wasserdruck der Dusche war sehr gering, man muss selbst saugen und Boden wischen(putzkammer vorhanden), die lüftung im zimmer ließ sich nicht ausschalten was mich in der Nacht ein bisschen gestört hat und die liebe Parkpkatzsuche war nervig (großstadt halt) Aber alles in allem würd ich wieder dort Urlaub machen.

Dieses mal war unser Apartment dreckig ,wir waren 6 Tage da ohne die Möglichkeit selbst zu säubern, geputzt wurde nicht.Schade, da wir die Unterkunft sonst so praktisch fanden.

Great clean, modern spacious apartment. Good location right next to station, easy transfer from airport on train. Very comfortable bed. Very small kitchen area, but only had breakfast in and good fridge and microwave and coffee machine. Stayed in autumn, perfect temp in apartment, but imagine it may be very hot in height of summer. Overall great stay.

The apartment was excellent. Very well equipped kitchen, clean comfortable room, close to the S-Bahn station but with great sound insulation. Several supermarkets (Aldi, Netto, Penny) nearby. I'd happily return.

Check in hat nicht reibungslos funktioniert plus dort war keiner erreichbar. Das Zimmer war dreckig auf den Boden waren weiße Flecken und die Ablage war auch nicht gereinigt. Da kein Personal vorhanden war bzw. Keiner an der Rezeption konnte man auch kein neues Zimmer bekommen. Ich bin sehr enttäuscht da ich zwei Tage dort übernachten musste.

Der Code hat beim ersten Zugang zum Hotel nicht funktioniert. Leider nur einmal Bettzeug und Handtücher für zwei Personen. Auf Nachfrage durften wir selber in den Serviceraum gehen und uns das zweite Set besorgen und das Bett beziehen. Die Heizung hat nicht funktioniert. Weder imBad noch im Schlafbereich. The place is exactly as shown in the photos and related information. I was initially nervous about the lack of a 24h reception desk, as I had a late flight into Berlin, but the instructions before arrival were clear and check-in was super easy. Would stay again!

This hotel is brilliant: just steps from the train station and tram stops, two grocery stores and eating places. We stayed in a real neighbourhood of friendly people. The view of the vicinity particularly in a golden November was priceless. Communication with staff via WhatsApp was friendly and prompt. The only trouble we had was with the bed which had one side flushed against the wall, making it difficult for the one on the side of the wall to get in and out of bed.

We realized it is quite far out from all the tourist attractions but we went ahead with this place anyway as we saw that it is right by the train station. However, the commute is quite limited as there is only one train line. we were fine dealing with the transferring to different stations until there were issues with trains schedule and maintenance on some of the days, and that became inconvenient. We are from NYC so are used to public transportation (this feels like living in Elmhurst and commuting to Manhattan). The area itself is convenient in terms of getting to various grocery stores, and pharmacies.

One of the best stays ever. I do not where to start. The room was very nicely appointed, cozy, stylish even. All little details are thought off, like sockets in convenient places. Furniture is new and convenient to store your things (I had a lot of stuff and all fit comfortably). The wi-fi signal was great. The tv was great too, having a few international channels, which is not always a case in German hotels. Too And bathroom very clean. Microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, hair dryer - all worked fine. The cafe by the lobby serves amazing breakfasts. The s train is basically one minute walking away, and you can be in central Berlin within 20 minutes, trains are frequent.

No air conditioning, which was not clear on the property description and we assumed was provided. No parking or guest vehicle loading area at all. The next door cafe owner is unpleasant and the cafe inventory delivery uses the elevator, takes priority over guest use of the elevator. It is in a good location for public transportation and retail support, appears safe, building is relatively new.

Smartments Berlin Karlshorst is for those who travel on a budget. I travel a lot and prefer to stay in apartment hotels. I think this hotel is one of the best in this category. A minute walk to the public transport, 10-15 minutes ride to the city center. The hotel is clean, the staff is very helpful ( special thanks to Ms.Pilar), rooms are cozy and if you need extra supplies, there is a room for that on every floor. Yes, I recommend this hotel, and when again in Berlin will stay at Smartments Berlin Karlshorst.
