Lovely luxury hotel. Friendly staff, lovely restaurant and amazing sauna. Food is really good. Remote location but perfect for aurora viewing and stop over on route around Iceland

Umi Hotel was a great place to stay. Their dinner was an unexpected gem - quality and components used reminded us of meals at Michelin star restaurants. Definitely a delight and perfect stop for travelers.

The hotels location is incredible; close to not one but two waterfalls plus other great attractions. Dont go to the black sand beach with all the tourists because the hotel has access to your own, private black sand beach. The staff was warm, professional and accommodating. They come tell you or grab you from the dinner table (as they did with us) when the aurora was showing! The rooms were small but nice. Only complaint about the room was the bathroom sink; it was too small that any time we washed up we got water all over the place! The food was delicious however the menu is small so if you’re eating dinner on site more than 2 nights in a row you may get bored. Overall, we would absolutely recommend Umi!!!
