Comfortable and well-located. The spa left a lot to be desired... one of the three saunas was out of order, and the pool circuit was never hot enough nor cold enough. There was cold water for refreshments but only dirty cups, none clean.

Points positifs: Hotel design moderne, eco responsable. Petit déjeuner buffet excellent Personnels de la réception et des restaurants très à l’écoute. Chambres confortables (tout y est) et communicantes, ce qui est clairement un avantage pour les enfants trop grands pour notre chambre et peu à l’aise d’être déjà seuls dans la leur. Points négatifs: Dommage pour le parking payant mais la place dans la rue est suffisante- ce qui aurait été le seul accès à une borne électrique pour recharger la voiture Piscine très jolie mais glaciale. Salle de sport inaccessible aux moins de 18 ans, même en présence d’un adulte- ce qui n’était pas annoncé et a été une grosse déception pour les ados qui devaient suivre un programme spécifique sportif et auraient traité le matériel avec le plus grand respect

Thank you for a lovely stay at Arima. The parking was very easy and €10 beneath the hotel in the underground car park. Check-in staff friendly and the guest services gentleman was incredibly helpful even booking us an evening meal reservation in the town. Wonderful service. The bus into town runs every 10 min from outside the hotel. Room very clean and eco-friendly. Plenty of complementary toiletries to use for the stay. Roof top pool amazing although the water was far too cold to swim in it with a child unfortunately. Hospital just around the corner. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Dining is limited to the restaurant at the hotel and they do not do room service. There are no local options so if it is booked you are stumped. 4. Great hotel beautifully apportioned. Room: + very spacious and the bed was very confortable. - lack of hooks to hang wet towels etc. Swimming pool only open during the summer - closed from mid Sep. Part of the reason we booked (small honeymoon) here was to have a few days by the pool had we known it would have influenced our decision. Location: + peaceful and quiet. not far by bus into the town around 20min on busy day and 15min when less busy. bus stop right outside hotel can use contactless by card. very easy to navigate. - Taxi we found a little trickier to find in quieter parts of town say Antiguo and buses do not run that late. Spa +excellent. - to access the Spa indoor pool and sauna comes at a cost which is notable when the outdoor pool is closed. Food +excellent both breakfast at the restaurant

Far from the city, great facilities. Food was not so good, you are much better off in town. Staff is not well trained, our kid wet the bed and they did not change the bed sheets…despite us calling reception twice!

Clean, tidy and modern. But there was some sloppiness: 1. We asked for a refill of body lotion multiple times but this wasnt done- there was no body lotion when we moved into the room. 2. Whilst the lightning system and controls are modern and loom good, they dont work very well. I couldnt turn all the lights off but leave the reading lights on and the black out curtains let light in. 3. It seemed odd that the hotel had a spa and marketed itself as a spa hotel, but we had to pay to use it. We selected the hotel as we wanted a luxurious stay with spa ameanities, and were willing to sacrifice location for this. However, given we had to pay to use the spa, we may as well have stayed more central.

Très bel hôtel, chambre magnifique. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est excellent et très complet. L'hôtel est écoresponsable ce qui est très appréciable et se note beaucoup dans la chambre. Très propre, personnel très sympathique et aux petits soins. Seul bémol c'est l'emplacement de l'hôtel, il est un peu loin du tout mais il y a des bus qui font la navette et ça ne prend pas beaucoup de temps. Je recommande

This is a modern hotel with a minimalistic approach greatly executed, elegant choices on furniture. As a tourist, you would be 15min from San Sebastián downtown, very reasonable if you have a car and public buses are a block away and they would place you in downtown in 20min. The hotel is in a very green area and rooms facing the patio side great a lush vegetation view. There is a big lobby area very attractive for getting work done, with a large communal table by the lobby and a smaller table (6 people) facing the patio. Many small tables and chairs in the area, perfect for getting work done or just relaxing. The gym is world class for a hotel in this area of the world, which is fantastic for those keeping in shape while traveling. And the outdoors certainly offer great exercising opportunities. Rooms are well maintained, although you can start to see some of the furniture chipping, mainly chairs and desks. Early attention to these details would be appreciated.

Welcoming professional reception, as were the bar and restaurant staff. Nice food in the evening and breakfast. Comfy bed. The building is getting a little dated and bits need replacing, but it would not stop me staying here again.

A quiet retreat in the woods, beautiful scenery and wonderful food. Our room was fine, clean, modern. The room was not ready until the check in time of 15:00 so we went to the restaurant, which was amazing (though at €100 for two including one sangria I’d say the price was more New York than outside of San Sebastián…) unfortunately the spa was fully booked so we didn’t have a chance to try it. Overall a very nice experience.

Great medium sized establishment in the forest area just outside central San Seb. Taxi or bus required for getting into town. Really helpful staff and great service recieved in all areas. They were difficult to contact via Expedia but fine via email and face to face. We had a junior suite which was large and modern. If being very picky we had some very slight wear and tear in our room, and a rogue hair in our shower cubicle, that I hope maintenance keep on top of as the ambiance of the hotel and spa has a lovely spacious and calm vibe. Nothing detracted from the experience, but with such a modern establishment any blemish however small will be more apparent. Decent restaurant and relaxing spa. Gym was well stocked and clean. Hotel car park is underground, clean and secure from the street though can be accessed via the lobby. Very late at night you may have a wait for a taxi to return from town. We would definitely stay here again away from the busy city centre, especially if driving to San Sebastian.

I had high expectations for Hotel Arima given its affiliation with Small Luxury Hotels, but my experience was deeply disappointing. The air conditioning in our room was not functioning properly throughout our three-night stay. Despite reporting the issue multiple times, the room remained hot and stuffy, with a persistent temperature of 25°C. We were told the issue was fixed, yet nothing changed. A staff member even acknowledged that the room lacked proper ventilation and offered us another room — but only on the final night, after midnight. We were also promised that a manager would speak with us before checkout, yet no one was available. The service recovery was nonexistent — no follow-up, no compensation, and no accountability. We ended up sleeping in uncomfortable conditions for two nights, and had to relocate rooms late on the third. At this price point and under the SLH brand, I expected much better. I had high expectations for Hotel Arima given its affiliation with Small Luxury Hotels, but my experience was deeply disappointing. The air conditioning in our room was not functioning properly throughout our three-night stay. Despite reporting the issue multiple times, the room remained hot and stuffy, with a persistent temperature of 25°C. We were told the issue was fixed, yet nothing changed. A staff member even acknowledged that the room lacked proper ventilation and offered us another room — but only on the final night, after midnight. We were also promised that a manager would speak with us before checkout, yet no one was available. The service recovery was nonexistent — no follow-up, no compensation, and no accountability. We ended up sleeping in uncomfortable conditions for two nights, and had to relocate rooms late on the third. At this price point and under the SLH brand, I expected much better. Excellent all round, cannot fault anything. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff; light, spacious and modern rooms; and excellent food at the venue the times we decided eat at the restaurant. We didn't use the spa or pool this trip but this was not our first stay here and those too have always been excellent. Also very accommodating with our infant.

Great service and advice from reception and in the restaurant where we also enjoyed excellent food and wine in a lively environment. Rooms are very comfortable (including the bed) but ours was not well sound-proofed. It was, however, ok when you had considerate neighbours.

This is a modern hotel with a minimalistic approach greatly executed, elegant choices on furniture. As a tourist, you would be 15min from San Sebastián downtown, very reasonable if you have a car and public buses are a block away and they would place you in downtown in 20min. The hotel is in a very green area and rooms facing the patio side great a lush vegetation view. There is a big lobby area very attractive for getting work done, with a large communal table by the lobby and a smaller table (6 people) facing the patio. Many small tables and chairs in the area, perfect for getting work done or just relaxing. The gym is world class for a hotel in this area of the world, which is fantastic for those keeping in shape while traveling. And the outdoors certainly offer great exercising opportunities. Rooms are well maintained, although you can start to see some of the furniture chipping, mainly chairs and desks. Early attention to these details would be appreciated.

Die Zimmer sind ganz schön, wirken aber stellenweise etwas improvisiert, wie z.b der vor sich hin brummende Kühlschrank auf dem Biden. Wirklich negativ zu erwähnen sind aber die wirklich extrem weichen oder gar durchgelegenen Matratzen und die seitlich ringhörigen Zimmern.

Great hotel beautifully apportioned. Room: + very spacious and the bed was very confortable. - lack of hooks to hang wet towels etc. Swimming pool only open during the summer - closed from mid Sep. Part of the reason we booked (small honeymoon) here was to have a few days by the pool had we known it would have influenced our decision. Location: + peaceful and quiet. not far by bus into the town around 20min on busy day and 15min when less busy. bus stop right outside hotel can use contactless by card. very easy to navigate. - Taxi we found a little trickier to find in quieter parts of town say Antiguo and buses do not run that late. Spa +excellent. - to access the Spa indoor pool and sauna comes at a cost which is notable when the outdoor pool is closed. Food +excellent both breakfast at the restaurant

El hotel es fabuloso, el Entorno genial, de fácil acceso a la ciudad. El personal del desayuno de 10, pero tenemos que apuntar el de recepción, nos pareció flojo, no nos ofreció servicios para esperar durante el checking, no nos explicó nada de los horarios, de donde era el desayuno, de los servicios del hotel, del transporte a la ciudad… nada.

Everything went smoothly .the 3 course lunch with wine for €22 was excellent value and the breakfast met all expectations .however when in town we went to the restaurant the concierge said she had booked for us they k had no record of the reservation !

This is quiet, luxurious hotel. The staff was excellent and very helpful. The room was lovely, the bath a spa level experience. The restaurant on site offered a lovely meal of the day lunch/arly dinner menu. There is a fine dining restaurant that we did not have time to try, but plan ahead for reservations. The rooftop pool is sizable and pleasant with towels and a small bar available for drinks. We were in the middle of a 12 day trip and needed to do some laundry and had access to the condo building attached to do that. It was very much appreciated. The hotel sits on traffic circle on the bus line. Pleasant, clean buses with a practical schedule made it easy to get in and out of town without taxi's and Ubers. 10-12 min ride into town. We attended a concert at the Reale stadium and took the bus in but walked back. It was about 2 miles and slightly up hill but large group of the crowd was doing the same so it was enjoyable late in the evening when there was little other traffic. We could have waited for a bus but chose not to. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for quiet luxury away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy area in town.

Très bel hôtel, chambre magnifique. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est excellent et très complet. L'hôtel est écoresponsable ce qui est très appréciable et se note beaucoup dans la chambre. Très propre, personnel très sympathique et aux petits soins. Seul bémol c'est l'emplacement de l'hôtel, il est un peu loin du tout mais il y a des bus qui font la navette et ça ne prend pas beaucoup de temps. Je recommande

This is a lovely hotel but it’s essentially in the middle of a suburban office park area. It made a good home base for exploring the Basque Countryside but if you want San Sebastián this isn’t it.

A quiet retreat in the woods, beautiful scenery and wonderful food. Our room was fine, clean, modern. The room was not ready until the check in time of 15:00 so we went to the restaurant, which was amazing (though at €100 for two including one sangria I’d say the price was more New York than outside of San Sebastián…) unfortunately the spa was fully booked so we didn’t have a chance to try it. Overall a very nice experience.

De hecho no está en San Sebastian, está a más de 10 minutos en coche del centro y después aparcar en San Sebastian es un gran problema. Si no pides el desayuno de 22€ puedes ir al bar pero solo tienen dos tipos de bocadillos, poca variedad la verdad El personal genial, pero seguro que no volveremos

It was about 2 miles and slightly up hill but large group of the crowd was doing the same so it was enjoyable late in the evening when there was little other traffic. We could have waited for a bus but chose not to. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for quiet luxury away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy area in town.
This is quiet, luxurious hotel. The staff was excellent and very helpful. The room was lovely, the bath a spa level experience. The restaurant on site offered a lovely meal of the day lunch/arly dinner menu. There is a fine dining restaurant that we did not have time to try, but plan ahead for reservations. The rooftop pool is sizable and pleasant with towels and a small bar available for drinks. We were in the middle of a 12 day trip and needed to do some laundry and had access to the condo building attached to do that. It was very much appreciated. A quiet retreat in the woods, beautiful scenery and wonderful food. Our room was fine, clean, modern. The room was not ready until the check in time of 15:00 so we went to the restaurant, which was amazing (though at €100 for two including one sangria I’d say the price was more New York than outside of San Sebastián…) unfortunately the spa was fully booked so we didn’t have a chance to try it. Overall a very nice experience.

Amazing stay! From check in to check out the team were great and helpful. Really relaxing with the pool on top floor, spa and peaceful area. I suggest a little walk in the forest in the morn to disconnect. Stayed in a junior suite and really enjoyed it with the view on the forest. It’s a 10-15min bus ride from the old city and very easy to take.. The pintxos food and coffee at the cafeteria was great and unexpensive. I would definitely stay there again! 10/10!

The hotel itself was gorgeous and our adjoining rooms for my party of four was wonderful. I rarely leave bad reviews, but I’ve stayed at varying levels of hotels, and for the lovely amenities offered at this hotel, the food and drink options were disappointing. When we checked into the hotel the only food option available was the higher end restaurant. We had hoped to have a light, affordable meal either at a mid-range price point or room service. Neither was available. I can’t speak about the breakfast, but the coffee was almost undrinkable. As for the main dinner restaurant the presentation was lovely, but the food was mediocre for the caliber. Of approximately ten options listed on the menu, only two were not vegetarian. We ordered several dishes, with the mixed vegetables being the best and the steak being the worst. The steak was chewy, unevenly salted, and lacked flavor.
