Hotel was nice. Parking is $59 a day, parking lot across the street is $100, down the street is the library for $30 so I would park there. Hotel was nice and clean. Bar was nice. Location was close to Broadway. Only thing I didn’t like is the street the hotel is on is not lit well at night.

Great hotel, great location (3-5 minute walk from Broadway St and the bars), cool vibe, nice people, 10/10 experience (both times I stayed there). NOT AFFILIATED with the hotel is the parking directly across the street. HUGE RIPOFF. Would not park there. Park at the Library, which is a half block away. It's approx 1/3 of the price as the Metropolis lot(s).

The pool was rented out for a private party one day so we were not able to use it. Also, there is no parking associated with the hotel so you have to find your own. We parked across the street in an open lot which ended up having several vehicles with smashed in windows. I noticed not the hotel’s control, but there’s a lack of parking.

Wonderful service! There was a city power outage while we were there and the team made sure everyone was comfortable, stayed positive and enjoyed their time. Pool is beautiful!!

Hotel is very nice. Sort of boutiquey in an older building. Beds are super comfy and room was great. Pool is a little small ish. On a hot Saturday there may have been 60 people in there - the water is waist deep. Only negative was it cost $50 to check in before our check in time. Cocktail drinks in lobby from 4-5 is a plus. Highly recommend getting a record player from front desk. Lots of records to choose from.

Great location. Pool was very small and always crowded so we weren’t able to use it. Elevator was very slow. VIP access was a bottle of wine but we don’t drink wine so we left it. Toilet doesn’t have separate door which was odd for a bathroom with a non locking sliding door.

First room was filthy so they moved us to a new room which was not much better and was right outside the elevator so it was incredibly noisy all night. They overcharged for drinks that we paid cash for but they charged to the room. I have pictures of the dirty sheets.

Room smelled horribly of sewage & only got to take lule warm showers as there was no hot water. Both issues were brought to the attention of the front desk, they sent a maintenance man up who said “unfortunately this isn’t the first time I’ve seen this” shrugged his shoulders & left! The only positives I can say about our stay was that it was very clean & good location. The rest of the experience was awful.

Wanted to check out pool, but it was locked. Our bathroom vanity had a massive crack through it. Bartender made very poor drinks that we sent back and she didnt offer to refund or make differently... $45 down the toilet on those! Also avocado toast does not equal guacamole toast - that was a let down, too. Hated that the shower only had a rainhead, makes it tough to rinse off without getting your hair wet. On the positive side, location is great. Front desk staff were great. Bed was comfy. Style and decor were cute! Bellboy was super friendly and helpful.

Our room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking room. Room was “clean” but there was some stains on the walls from past guests and some things had been fixed in the room with some really shoddy work. Just gave off the vibe the management didn’t much care for appearances. Close to downtown and very walkable but definitely wouldn’t stay there again. Expected more for my money.

Hotel seems a bit run down and the room wasn't super clean. It really needs an upgrade. Faucets leaking in sink in shower room, shower fixture not set into wall completely. good location though and at the end of the day its just a place to sleep

Booked last minute for an overnight stay. Price was still a bit expensive, but not too bad. 1st time staying here and it didn't disappoint. Nice and very clean. Walking distance to Bridgestone, Broadway, and everything downtown Nashville. Actually walked to Hattie B's at 1145p, by myself, and felt pretty safe~10 minute walk! The Valet service was $65/per day but actually worth it because there was very limited parking in the area. You're able to come and go as u please without an additional charge & the Valets were super nice. Customer service was on point & professional. Room was very clean, spacious, and cozy. Brought my Yorkie with me & pets stay free!!!! Only minor hiccup is no microwave in room & the trash cans are too small💁♀️Overall, Great hotel and will definitely book here again!!!

We chose this hotel for style and walkability. We were able to walk two blocks to a restaurant and two blocks to the Ryman. We used valet at the hotel, and didn't have to give our vehicle a second thought. Just a few small complaints are that there is no vent fan in the bathroom and there was too much street noise. As for the street noise, we were on the 3rd floor (which isn't too high to avoid street noise), but we were shocked at the lack of sound reducing windows or something to help with that issue in such a high end hotel. Additionally, the breakfast service was exemplary, but the food was a bit disappointing. I had an omelet and my husband has blueberry pancakes. They were fine, but we could've had much more flavorful versions of these same food options for half the price. We would definitely stay again, but would probably eat breakfast elsewhere.

The WORST elevators I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. This hotel is 13 floors tall and only one very small elevator was working. It would legitimately take us 10+ minutes to get down as full elevator cars would stop at our floor. I’m always happy to take the stairs but from 8 floors up at that price??? C’mon. The bathroom is huge but marginally lit with a barn door slider door featuring a gap so you had better be comfortable with the other people in the room with you and sharing your bathroom goings on. On the good side: location, vibe and the Tenn restaurant for breakfast were great. Housekeeping was attentive and the in room coffee was pretty decent.

Perfect spot for visiting Downtown Nashville. Close enough to walk to broadway and just far enough to not hear broadway. Probably the quietest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Couldn’t hear other guests or doors closing or even people in rooms above. Such a cool funky hotel.

The deluxe king room was incredibly small with a view of the dumpsters and alley outside. I do have to say they made good use of the available space. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was hardly room for our two suitcases though. It was awkward to take items out of the suitcases, the bar upstairs from the lobby was very good with good drinks and food. There is a coffee maker in the room but no complimentary coffee in the lobby. There is not even take out coffee in the breakfast room. We had to wait a long time for a table in the breakfast room.The best thing about the hotel was its proximity to Broadway with all the venues.

The only thing I didn’t like about my room was the bathroom door. It was one of those sliding barn doors. You could see one of the beds from the toilet because the door leaves a big gap even when shut completely. Plus you couldn’t lock it, so a warning for families with little children who would want to barge in on you. Other than that issue, it was a lovely hotel in a convenient location.

The employees…personal attention is great. The bed, pillows and shower are the best! BUT…the noise from the air conditioner/fan is absolutely a problem. I had to turn it off or not sleep. By morning it was quite warm. It may be a deal breaker.

We stayed overnight for a quick Nashville visit. The hotel was very close to all the activities on and around Broadway. Many restaurants in all price ranges available within walking distance. The hotel staff from the valet to the check in clerks were very welcoming, courteous and helpful. The room was very up to date with the decor and the bathroom amenities. The beds were very comfortable. They had an onsite bar restaurant that made it convenient as well. Would definitely recommend and stay at this hotel agai.

Our room was sufficient, but it would really be nice if the beds were lower, especially for older guest. After we returned home, we realized we had left our 2 ergonomic pillows in the lobby. I called and spoke to a front desk person who really couldn’t be bothered to check (even though I told her exactly where they were left) and would only send me a link to submit a lost & found department. I received a do not reply email which indicated the hotels actions. I have yet to receive any follow up. This non-response has really left a negative impression, especially with the person at the front desk who doesn’t seem to care.

We arrived early and the room was ready. They said in order to go in we needed to pay $50 extra for early check in. That was not listed anywhere on the info. I also didn’t pay that last year when I arrived early. She could tell I was annoyed and said you can leave your bags with me. Sorry, not leaving my computer with her so I paid the $50. She was so unfriendly. I will never stay here again based on this.

First time staying at this property and I found it to be fantastic. Two left turns out of the front door to the Bridgestone where we were watching a concert. Very short walk to the rest of the nightlife and food. Friendly staff. The hotel allows you to pre-check in, so that was very quick and efficient. The room was on the small side but smartly organized. Modern look. The shower was killer and the bed comfortable. The valet process was very easy during arrival and departure. I would easily stay here again. 9.5 / 10

We booked this hotel to go to a concert nearby. It turns out it was only two blocks away and super convenient to walk to tons in the area. The location is fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful. Check in and check out was seamless. They even had welcome cocktails upon our arrival. (They do this at happy hour.) Rooms themselves feel like they could use a bit of a facelift, but everything was clean and beds were comfortable. Would recommend Holston House and would stay there again.

I stayed here last year to go to see a hockey game for the weekend. That weekend the hotel was excellent with service that was great. This year we came for a birthday event. I recommended we stay at this hotel. I was very disappointed. The front desk never picked up the phone. The room we stayed in, half of the outlets did not work. I needed ice, and when they finally picked up the phone it was not delivered until I went to the front desk. I never complain in reviews but something changed with the service and quality of this hotel in the past year. For the price per night, it was not worth it!

Stayed one night, November 8. We had an early flight and called to see about early check in. We were told we had to come to the hotel and complete pre check in. No problem. We show up at 2:00 and do so. We were told a room wasn’t ready yet and we would receive a text when the room was ready. We told the clerk we would wait in the lobby. Around an hour and 15 minutes later, around 3:15, and after several people that showed up later than us were told their room was ready, I asked if they knew how much longer it might be. I was told my room wasn’t ready and I would receive a text. At 3:50, I went back to the desk and asked if they were even going to have a room at regular check in time of 4:00. Not only is $70 per night excessive for valet, but we also didn't appreciate the misrepresentation of fees. We chose this hotel for style and walkability. We were able to walk two blocks to a restaurant and two blocks to the Ryman. As for the street noise, we were on the 3rd floor (which isn't too high to avoid street noise), but we were shocked at the lack of sound reducing windows or something to help with that issue in such a high end hotel. Additionally, the breakfast service was exemplary, but the food was a bit disappointing. I had an omelet and my husband has blueberry pancakes. They were fine, but we could've had much more flavorful versions of these same food options for half the price. We would definitely stay again, but would probably eat breakfast elsewhere.

The pool was rented out for a private party one day so we were not able to use it. Also, there is no parking associated with the hotel so you have to find your own. We parked across the street in an open lot which ended up having several vehicles with smashed in windows. I noticed not the hotel’s control, but there’s a lack of parking.

Wonderful hotel property with subpar rooms. I expect a king room to have more than one dresser drawer. My wife and I had to leave most of our clothes in our suitcases because there just wasn't any room to put anything. Another complaint: no bathroom fan. Seriously? This is a basic hotel room requirement. The doormen were the saving grace as they were friendly and informative. In terms of everything else: The rooftop pool is a nice touch and was well maintained. The Tenn restaurant was just okay. The service was subpar and the food was mediocre at best. I ordered a latte and it was cold when it arrived at my table. The upstairs bar is great and makes one hell of an espresso martini. All in all, the property and location are wonderful but the rooms need some upgrades in basic amenities.

Great location for nightlife and Nashville sports teams. Very nice property and friendly staff. We stayed on a busy August weekend with lots of young adults on celebratory trips - fun to observe and good energy but also crowded at the pool and in the lobby. We also didn’t love the food at the hotel or for that matter in the nearby tourist area - it was all ok, expensive, tourist fare. We will do more meal planning next time to get out of downtown. Monell’s in Germantown for breakfast was the exception. Loved the experience.

Wanted to check out pool, but it was locked. Our bathroom vanity had a massive crack through it. Bartender made very poor drinks that we sent back and she didnt offer to refund or make differently... $45 down the toilet on those! Also avocado toast does not equal guacamole toast - that was a let down, too. Hated that the shower only had a rainhead, makes it tough to rinse off without getting your hair wet. On the positive side, location is great. Front desk staff were great. Bed was comfy. Style and decor were cute! Bellboy was super friendly and helpful.

This place was AMAZING!!! The building is awesomely historic and beautifully done! You HAVE to order the steak at the bar!! It was outstanding. The staff was friendly and the location was perfect. Close enough to stroll to the strip and the hall of fame but far enough from it to have peace and quiet. OH try the room service cinnamon rolls too!!! Also amazing!

I had a very tough travel day that turned into dayS, and arrived truly unreasonably early, staff proactively found a room open and got me in early, completely resetting the trip for me. Got a nap and back onto schedule, genuinely appreciated the staff actually proactively help solve vs just the standard no rooms open. I’m sure people abuse this but gosh, was a lifesaver to me. Thanks!
