Castelo Picão Apartments

The location was good. Unfortunately the entire apartment was dirty. Messaged to let the host know, he sent cleaners yet they didn't actually clean anything. The sink was so badly backed up that every time you try to put water down it leaked all over the floor. We had to use the kitchen sink to wash up and brush our teeth. I ended up having to clean the apartment as best I could as there was no cleaning supplies. Even the towels they had left in the kitchen were dirty. Our stay would have been 1000X better if it wasn't for how dirty everything was. There were hairs in the bedding, the couch looks like it had bodily fluids all over it. The entire kitchen looked like somebody had come in and done cooking for a restaurant and hadn't bother cleaning up after. We all slept with our clothing on, on top of the sheets. It was a beautiful place unfortunately it was not inviting or relaxing Definitely our worst stay during our almost month in Europe.

Property is okay but not worth the price. When we arrived, it was pretty obvious the property hadn’t been cleaned properly. There were crumbs in the kitchen and the bedside tables where full or hair and dust. Everything was pretty run down, not like the photos. In the double bedroom, the blind was completely broken which meant that the sun filled the room at 5am and we couldn’t sleep at all. We messaged the host about these issues and received no response! Save your money and book elsewhere.

The property is in a great area, it feels very homey, and it is very nice.

The location pin on hotels.com wasn’t accurate, but the info provided by the owner about accessing the property had the correct location pin.
