Loved loved this hotel. Great location- close to everything. Hotel had champagne waiting in our room which was a very nice surprise. Gave 2 samples of port wine another day in the room waiting. Breakfast ( which was included also) had a great variety of options. Hotel also offered free walking tour with a free drink after in their bar!! Would recommend this hotel:)

The service was amazing, the mini bar was provided at no charge and housekeeping left us two small bottles of port every night. If my wife could have brought the bed home with us she would have. Cannot say enough good about the hotel.

Wonderful stay! Excellent and helpful staff. Beautiful room ( a bit small- but we were warned), nice shower, and choices of pillows! Nice extras- like drinks, snacks, etc. in lobby for their guests. Great location to everything- dining, entertainment, Rossio station. A 10/10 stay- definitely recommend & would recommend upgrading to a larger room next time.

Stayed 5 nights, hotel is centrally located on a pedestrian only street. After Uber dropped me off, Rafael came to help bring my luggage to the hotel. He gave a very warm welcome, checked me in, offered me free breakfast and I didn’t have to wait for my room. I am highly sensitive to fragrances. A lot of hotels I haven stayed at, have strong fragrances. When I entered my room, I immediately noticed there was no fragrance! My room was very quiet, spacious, bright, had 2 bathroom windows, bed was very comfortable. Knowledgeable hotel staff provided a free walking tour to get familiar with Lisbon history and what to see and do. My room included complimentary extras - bottled water, mini fridge beverages (beer, Coke, juice) that were replenished daily. Housekeeping kept my room very clean, provided turn down service, mini bottles of red and white port wines. There was complimentary coffee, tea, fresh juices, bottled water, apples, cookies, natas in the hotel lobby. Pedro always provided a friendly and warm welcome at breakfast. Buffet was excellent, including an omelette station,huge variety of fresh quality food items. Location of hotel could not be any better. I could see the water as soon as I stepped out.It was surrounded with many restaurants, shopping and points of interest all within walking distance. I had a wonderful stay! All Hotel staff, notably Rafael and Pedro provided excellent, friendly, helpful, kind service.This is better than a 4 star hotel!

The service in this hotel is Wow. I got someone who parked my car, I got someone who tried to find another hotel for me, for another day, etc. The bed and pillows were very confortable and the products in the bathroom such as soap, shampoo, etc... Amazing product from Codage Paris. The only thing is at the bar, they close early and they ask you to leave immediately when they close, even if you didn't finish your drink. Also, this hotel is on a street that you can only walk. No car allowed.

My husband and I loved our stay at Hotel de Baxia. Our bedroom was spacious with a beautiful marble bathroom. We opted for the breakfast buffet each morning. It was outstanding in every aspect. The restaurant within the hotel was also excellent for dinner. We enjoyed cocktails in the lounge. The bartenders were very friendly and gave wonderful dining selections nearby the hotel. Every person we were in contact with in reception during our stay, couldn’t have been more helpful in suggestions where to go, how to get there, where to eat and assisted us planning our train to Porto. I highly recommend Hotel de Baxia with five stars!

Beautiful, small hotel - felt very independent and special. Such a warm welcome on arrival, all the staff were so friendly, helpful and professional. Lots of lovely thoughtful touches - complimentary tea, coffee, water, fruit, pastel de nata, cookies, in reception! Plus complimentary small bottles of port on on our last night, delivered to our room. Gorgeous room and bathroom, well maintained with nice amenities. Fantastic buffet breakfast and excellent restaurant - high standard of food. Would definitely recommend, in fact we have booked to return next week on our journey back through Lisbon!

The staff was extremely helpful. You should definitely call before you try parking. They spoke Spanish and English and because the hotel street does not have car access, the staff met us at Placa de Figueira. One escorted us to the Hotel and the other parked our rental car and took our bags. The staff is very professional and friendly. We needed an extra day, and they found a solution. The breakfast was outstanding. The beds were very comfortable and there was no street noise from the 4th floor. There are plenty of places to eat and the hotel is close to many beautiful landmarks. This hotel embodies customer service at it highest level. It is a gem in the center of Lisbon. Our family had a wonderful time.

Great location for seeing the city and getting around, good transportation links. very attentive staff and loved the little things like water and coffee at reception and the room fridge with some free drinks after a long hot day exploring the city. One of my favorite hotels in Lisbon! The room was large, spotless, and very comfortable, and it even included a standalone bidet. The hotel is in the heart of downtown Lisbon, making everything conveniently walkable. Outstanding service all around.

It’s located in a beautiful, safe neighborhood in Lisbon, which made exploring the city even more enjoyable. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful—they went above and beyond to offer advice on places to visit and how to get around. Their recommendations really enhanced my trip. There’s also a charming breakfast area downstairs with a wide variety of delicious food options to start the day off right. We were so happy to stay at Hotel Baixa. We had just come from another hotel where the neighborhood lacked character, the rooms were tiny, and—most importantly—the staff was incredibly rude. Hotel Baixa was the complete opposite. The location is fantastic, right in a vibrant part of town. The hotel itself is charming, and our deluxe double room with a city view offered plenty of space. Even though we faced the street, it’s a pedestrian-only area, so noise was never an issue. The bathroom and shower were great, and the room overall was very comfortable. The staff truly stood out. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We especially loved the breakfast host—such a lovely way to start each morning. Breakfast itself was excellent, with great coffee and a generous selection of cereals, pastries, eggs (including an omelette station), bacon, and fresh fruit. There’s also a cute bar with live music on the weekends. The only challenge we encountered was with Uber. Many drivers struggled to reach the area due to heavy traffic and restricted streets. We used an alternate pickup spot just up the street, which helped, but walking to a main road is definitely the easiest option. Overall, we would absolutely recommend Hotel Baixa and would happily stay here again.

The staff was welcoming and accommodating. I received a free room upgrade. My room was clean and the welcome bottle of sparkling wine was a nice bonus along with the drinks in the mini fridge. The area is very walkable. The only downside, the hotel is located on a street where the tram runs and Ubers and taxi’s are not able to pick up or drop off directly in front of the location.

Our stay at Hotel da Baixa couldn’t have been better. From the front desk staff who set up so many things for us. Whether it be transportation from the airport, a private tour to Cascais and the Peña Palace, dinner reservations or transportation to the bus station they were there for us with suggestions. Pedro’s walking tour, which was complimentary with our hotel stay, was so very informative and had many suggestions for things to do. His love for his city shone through. The wait staff in the restaurant, which was one of our favourite meals, was very polite and attentive. The guys in the bar were also attentive without being pushy and we actually had a great time just talking with them. Our room was perfect. The bathroom was awesome with a huge shower and more room than in American hotels. The room itself was smaller than in America but was perfect for us. Even with all my luggage. Bed was super comfortable and we enjoyed a good nights sleep after a day of walking. If I had a complaint it would be that the pillows are too soft for our liking. But to each his own. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed 5 nights, hotel is centrally located on a pedestrian only street. After Uber dropped me off, Rafael came to help bring my luggage to the hotel. He gave a very warm welcome, checked me in, offered me free breakfast and I didn’t have to wait for my room. I am highly sensitive to fragrances. A lot of hotels I haven stayed at, have strong fragrances. When I entered my room, I immediately noticed there was no fragrance! My room was very quiet, spacious, bright, had 2 bathroom windows, bed was very comfortable. Knowledgeable hotel staff provided a free walking tour to get familiar with Lisbon history and what to see and do. My room included complimentary extras - bottled water, mini fridge beverages (beer, Coke, juice) that were replenished daily. Housekeeping kept my room very clean, provided turn down service, mini bottles of red and white port wines. There was complimentary coffee, tea, fresh juices, bottled water, apples, cookies, natas in the hotel lobby. Pedro always provided a friendly and warm welcome at breakfast. Buffet was excellent, including an omelette station,huge variety of fresh quality food items. Location of hotel could not be any better. I could see the water as soon as I stepped out.It was surrounded with many restaurants, shopping and points of interest all within walking distance. I had a wonderful stay! I was pleasantly surprised and happy with this choice. It is centrally located--easy to walk to many must-see surrounding areas. I felt like I was in the midst of prime Lisbon activity and culture. I was most impressed with hotel service--from the front desk attendants to its head of guess services. The cheerfulness, the willingness to assist, and the attendants' ability to anticipate what guests want and how to make guests feel comfortable and happy throughout the stay. Hotel da Baixa was a beautiful stay for us in Lisbon. The staff was communicative and friendly before and during our stay. Pedro, the owner/manager offered a free walking tour of the Baixa neighborhood, full of information, and a glass of wine at the end. Our room was upgraded upon checkin and was clean and spacious; the included daily breakfast offered an omelet station, fresh fruit, and plenty of meats, cheeses, and breads. The location is walkable to the historic sites and shopping. We were able to walk to the dock to catch our cruise. Highly recommend!

Luis and Pedro and the entire Bakia team deliver world class first class service!!! What a welcome treat. This team really knows how to take care of their guests in a first rate way. Generous, empathetic, helpful and so so welcoming!!! Don’t hesitate to work this hotel!!! We were stranded for 4 nights due to Alr Canada strike - their attitude was so refreshing and helped us deal with what was ahead as we tried to get a flight booked. Exceptional in every way!!

The hotel staff were outstanding. The hotel walking tour was extremely informative and a great start to exploring Lisbon. Guest services also helped us plan our day trip to Sintra and our visit to the Gulbenkian Museum. The transfers to & from the airport were efficient. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel on two occasions. The hotel felt like a home away from home snd we look forward to our next visit there.

This hotel is 5 out of 5. Breakfast buffet fantastic. Hotel rooms clean and spacious. The hotel staff thinks of everything. They are kind and helpful. My sons birthday was during our stay without asking they arranged a cake. Pedro the property manager is amazing and kind. The hotel has a walking tour which he leads. It is a great experience. The staff was extremely helpful. You should definitely call before you try parking. They spoke Spanish and English and because the hotel street does not have car access, the staff met us at Placa de Figueira. One escorted us to the Hotel and the other parked our rental car and took our bags. The staff is very professional and friendly. We needed an extra day, and they found a solution. The breakfast was outstanding. The beds were very comfortable and there was no street noise from the 4th floor. There are plenty of places to eat and the hotel is close to many beautiful landmarks. This hotel embodies customer service at it highest level. It is a gem in the center of Lisbon. Our family had a wonderful time.

This hotel is in a perfect location. Just a 5 minute walk to Praca do Comercio. Lots of restaurants and shops around. Wonderful greeting at check in and quick. Beds and linen are luxurious. Would rate as a 5 star hotel. The welcome gift was a nice touch! Would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family visiting. You will not be disappointed.

The hotel was in the middle of everything. Close and walkable to the main attractions in Lisbon. Unfortunately, the street is under construction so no car traffic and construction noise in the am. Staff was friendly and the room was nice, but smaller than i expected. Breakfast buffet was nice and convenient.

The hotel is in a very walkable area. We spent many hours walking the neighborhood and the sights. The one issue we had, we asked for a taxi to the airport which stay arranged, it was not a taxi and when we got to the airport she told us it was 25 euros, Uber would have been 10. Do not use their taxis, this was a scam. The hotel is located on a street that only certain vehicles can drive on, Uber would pick us up one block away

The staff was welcoming and accommodating. I received a free room upgrade. My room was clean and the welcome bottle of sparkling wine was a nice bonus along with the drinks in the mini fridge. The area is very walkable. The only downside, the hotel is located on a street where the tram runs and Ubers and taxi’s are not able to pick up or drop off directly in front of the location.

Really enjoyed our stay , front desk and bar staff were excellent, breakfast was fine but needed some variety, no sausage in Portugal! We did find all the construction to be very loud during the day and the trams pass in front of the hotel at all hours. The entertainment in the bar was nice and having water and snacks throughout the day was a plus. Would recommend but be aware of the construction noise.

Really nice hotel in the heart of Baixa. New and well-maintained. Breakfast is good with a lot of variety. Coffee, water and cakes are available all day for hotel guests free of charge. The room was clean. The only negative I would like to mention is the ventilation in the hotel. In our room, we constantly had the smell of food from the restaurant coming through the ventilation. The same goes for the breakfast area — the smell of fried food gets into your clothes, which is not pleasant if you have a meeting or are going somewhere afterwards. But my high rating goes to the service, food, cleaning and hospitality.

Excellent location at Baixa, convenient to walk to main attractions or take the metro or railway to suburbs in Lisbon. It is centrally located with a lot of shops and restaurants. The breakfast buffet is a great surprise, with lots of options and freshly made eggs / omelets and coffees/teas of your choice. The front is also rather helpful. We totally enjoyed our 6 nights of stays and would no doubt book the hotel again if we visit Lisbon again.
