Beautiful hotel in the middle of it all. The staff is very friendly and most helpful. Nice fresh rooms and bathrooms. Amazing bed for a good night sleep after a long day of sightseeing, which is all within walking distance of the hotel. While the street is a bit noisy- the windows are modern and keep the noise on the outside. Also, they do not have parking on/under the property but there is parking (EV charge available) just one block away and the hotel offers a discount for use. Highly recommend- and will recommend this hotel for anyone planning a visit to Porto.

Wonderful front desk and bell staff! Everyone was exceptionally kind, welcoming and helpful! Room was very nice and spacious. Hotel is in great location. I was worried about parking in such a busy area, but it was no issue at all with underground parking just around the corner. Highly recommend Pestana Porto!

This is a very nice hotel well-suited to exploring Porto on foot. It is 2 blocks to sights such as the train station (seriously, visit it!), main marketplace (think you won’t like visiting a market? Guess again!), Liberty Square and the famous McDonald’s (once again, trust me!). Porto is very walkable, though that walking involves some hills. The front-desk staff was welcoming and eager to help, our room was spotless and high quality (fifth floor street side was above the traffic noise). Breakfast was excellent—be sure to get the menu which has more than the breakfast bar—but was NOT included with the room. Parking was in a public garage around the block, and it was super-clean and easy to manage payment. Porto itself is a delight, and the hotel staff suggested at least one idea that wasn’t on our radar, which was to ride the #1 Tram out to the seaside (it’s an antique trolley that is as much fun as the destination). The only downside is that Porto is constructing a metro nearby so the street leading to the hotel was a little congested, but this is temporary. We highly recommend the facility.

Hôtel marqué comme hôtel Luxe mais pas vraiment. C'est un 5 étoiles mais il n'ya pas de piscine, pas de spa. Un seul restaurant avec une petite carte, un room service avec le choix entre 6 plats max, et surtout un mini bar avec uniquement 3 boissons (coca, coca light et bouteille d'eau). Les employés sont bien mais manque cruellement d'options.

Breakfast basic with extremely poor service. No bar available after 10pm. Order taken before 10pm advised to sit and wait, drinks would be brought over. 20mins later still waiting. When I enquired, was told rudely no drinks after 10pm. Would not recommend this hotel.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Nothing was a problem. Best of all were the staff. Alex checked us in and made us feel very welcome. Luis was super helpful and made time to talk to us about Porto and the surrounds. Would definitely come back.

Stayed for 4 nights. Only downside was the noise from overnight work (a crane being setup) next to the hotel one night. Porto has a lot of work being done in preparation for another metro line more bridges and general renovation. Staff, room, facilities and breakfast were excellent

Great property in a great location. All staff we encountered were amazing. The biggest draw back for us was the bed was extremely hard. For some, that may be good. We also found it awkward to get in and out of the shower which was a taller style tub with nothing to hold on to but the glass surround. The floor of the tub was on an angle where you step in. But over all a great hotel. Would definitely return.

Good: location, location, location. This is the perfect location- it is close to everything! Bad: I used a wash cloth, towel, lotion and the cleaning crew only replaced the towel. Why? The bed is also uncomfortably firm. Ugly: The staff never greeted me when I walked past the front desk, I always had to say hello first and then they would look up from the computer as if they were surprised by me- they weren't. No one was in the lobby and they saw me walk in and sit down on the couch. They chose every time to ignore me. I also asked for an early check-in after 3 long flights from the U.S. and walked around the surrounding area from 10am-2pm and at 2pm came and nodded off on the couch right next to the front desk. At exactly 3pm, I asked to check in and they did so seamlessly. I asked for the bag I left with them at 10am and they said it was already in the room. So...my room was ready and you saw me sitting there waiting? Just rude and inconsiderate. I don't care if my bag was up there 1 hour or 10 mins- when the room was ready, you should have said something- you knew I had been waiting since 10am.

First and foremost, what stood out the most during our stay was the incredible customer service and care. From the moment we arrived, every single staff member we interacted with from the managers and front desk team to the restaurant staff on the patio and in the lounge, was absolutely outstanding. They were consistently warm, helpful, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. While we did encounter a few hiccups at check-in and with our initial room, the staff handled everything with such professionalism and genuine care. They worked hard to make things right, and in the end we were very happy with the rooms we stayed in. Beyond that, the overall atmosphere of the hotel was lovely, and our experience across the property was truly great. The combination of excellent service and thoughtful attention to detail left us with a very positive impression of our stay in Porto. I wish I could remember all of their names but I lost my note card during the travels home so I apologize.

Our stay at pestana porto was a dream. Large charming and clean rooms, friendly staff, amazing service, excellent breakfast and fantastic location. We'd like to thank Alex specifically for the champagne surprise for our anniversary, his fantastic service, and great recommendation for a Douro Valley wine tour. We highly recommend staying at this hotel and will be back!

The most amazing staff and hotel , been to PORTUGAL every year since 2021. Would not stay anywhere else . Special thanks to Marcia, Felipe,Rita,Alex,Yuri and Hotel Manager Diogo Bartilotti Matos . My boyfriend had to spend 2 days in the hospital and every night there was pastries , or fruit and drinks in the room waiting for me . And the day he returned from the hospital they provided room services free of charge . Today at check out they had a care package with pastries , fruit and waters for us to travel with . This hotel is more than 5 stars . Words are not enough to express our GRATITUDE ! If anyone travels to Porto THIS IS A MUST TO STAY , CLEAN , GREAT FOOD , WAY BEYOND GRACIOUS STAFF .

Superb hotel in central Porto. Well situated for everything downtown, Sao Bento station and transfer over to Gaia. The exceptional service we received from the team made our 2 night stay a home from home. Nothing too much trouble - from the front desk to servers in the restaurant and the housekeeping team. The little details were very much appreciated - upon early check in, a call from Luis to say our room was ready, spakling wine and cake for my husband's birthday, extra milk delivered to our room for making tea and coffee. Breakfast in the restaurant included a wonderful selection and was high quality. All the staff we met were friendly and professional and motivated to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Special shout out to Rita Teixera and Diogo for their leadership and great organisation. And we must mention the front desk team for their kindness, always ready with a smile and a recommendation in Porto - Inês, Alex, Luis and Catarina you are doing a phenomenal job. We were sad to have just 3 days in Porto and only 2 nights at your beautiful hotel. The history and characternof rhe hotel are special, but thenpeople who work here make it feel like home. We look forward to our future return to Porto and to another stay at Pestana Porto A Brasiliera.

Due to metro construction, access to the hotel either via taxi or bolt/uber was a little hazzle. Other than that, the location of the hotel was really convenient for those who wants to walk to downtown shopping and excellent restaurants areas. Hotel staff was really friendly and as helpful as possible. English speakers will have no issue to communicate with them. Room decor was beautiful but our room was in the corner, so accessing to the bathroom from one side of the bed may seem really awkard, especially when you wake up in the middle of the night. Else, the room was really nice. Breakfast was great in my opinion. I highly recommend this hotel.

The staff was very helpful and courteous and the property is wonderful. The only drawback is that the hotel is smack in the middle of a city-wide road/subway construction project which makes access a challenge. It is in a great location for site seeing - but we recommend an Uber for the return as it’s a wicked uphill hike.

The hotel was good. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The staff at Reception were excellent and very helpful. Unfortunately the food and service in the restaurant and at breakfast let the hotel down. The breakfast was limited and the food was not replenished very often. Service was very hit & miss. Could do with more staff

From start to finish the staff and the facilities were top notch. I enjoyed my stay thoroughly. I felt that the breakfast buffet was robust compared to other hotels I stayed in during my trip in Portugal. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!
