The areas that have been renovated were good but lots of areas are out of use. No shop in the hotel especially would have been nice to buy some memorabilia. Only buffet and pub food or room service as choice for meals, there was no dining room where food was served to you at your table. No Spa and a very small indoor pool. It seems to have a lot of functions there now so was noisy at night when guests returned to their bedrooms.

Rooms were great, all be it a headache to find sometimes. The ship is nice in parts, shame they don't utilise it to its full potential. Pool is uninviting and inside only. Loads of areas not used and upper decks are just a graveyard. Area is under heavy construction and is a taxi ride to pretty much anyway. Food was okay, i got a good deal so was great value for money but paying full price would be poor value. £10 for 2 coffees was slightly excessive too. I wouldnt stay again but reconise that if you needed a cheap place to stay for a night or two its an experience.

Unique hotel and historical landmark . Rooms clean and lovely like the pictues and we were upgraded to a larger for as booked a long stay to a deluxe. Kids enjoyed single twin room only thing lacking was a mini fridge and maybe some bedside tables. Staff from front desk and concierge couldnt do enough to help even managed to rang my taxi while enroute to the airport when i left my phone behind. They put on a free bus to dubai mall and metro station daily . Only flaw is the current accessibility due to major road works going on walking around is not possible and made us reliant on taxis lucky enough these are relatively cheap in dubai. Once the works are finished next year this will be even better. We did walk on the marina and found a few shops and ate at a restaurant there. The ship is from 70s but updated and renovated but if your looking for marble floors ect then We ate at lido resturant once food was good pulled beef roll amazing curry and biryiani good . The pizza could be better. The pool is the origional small for the size of the boat but deep. Gym there is fine . Overall we enjoyed our stay staff were excellent and the only thing letting this hotel down is the current roadworks being done not hotels fault making getting around slower and not walkable to main attractions nearby. For the price it was well worth it

It was truly amazing to stay a couple of nights at such an iconic ship and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The free shuttle to the metro was brilliant too. We loved the historic tour - more courtesy buses at different times may be helpful and once the building work around the site is finished the venue should be even better.

The history of the QE2 was everywhere, wandering around the vessel was a joy. The reception staff and particularly the concierge were very helpful. The room was very clean and well appointed. The lack of an outdoor swimming pool was a disappointment. I hope that the owners prioritise the restoration of an outdoor pool. An indoor pool was available but was in the bowls of the ship, very small and uninviting. The pool attendant was particularly aggressive and unhelpful. The food in the Lido restaurant was acceptable but the dress code was not adhered to or enforced! For me the vessel's history was my reason for staying and for that I was not disappointed.

In terms of facilities it was sufficient however getting into town was a little challenging. The train station was a good walking distance through a construction site. The swimming pool was small and indoors it would benefit with outdoor pool. The concierge staff were fantastic.

The hotel is full of nostalgia and original art noveau objects. The breakfast is fantastic and our room (junior officer suite) was great. The staff is super friendly and if you call house keeping your request will be fulfilled in 5min. There are two things which were not as expected. The original pool has been replaced by a mini pool in the lowest deck. No windows. Secondly a new rises up around the ship. Lots of constructon blocking traffic in and out of the boat. Not the fault of the owners of the boat. In summary well worth the visit and the price.

Terrific cabin/ room very large and well looked after. Nothing much to do near it apart from a walk around the marina. If you like nostalgia and history this is a great place to stay. Very little to do in the evening. The shuttle bus only goes to the city once a day which isn’t enough.

Room was nice but dusty in places and cabinets need a refresh. Staff very polite and friendly. Took a long time to check in and out due to only two people on reception each time. The hotel definitely needs a refresh throughout despite it trying to maintain the historic feel.

Great historical experience, but poor hotel. Rates are cheap for Dubai, but "superior room" (rennovated) had a very dirty carpet and worn modern furniture. Music played in corridor, could be heard in the cabin all day. Cleaners forgot to clean my cabin twice in four nights. An Ibis would offer better standards. Breakfast and buffet meal were good value. An Ibis would offer better standards. However, the historical tour/tram wete great.

Overall the experience was average, the ship needs a lot of work to update it, it smells musty. The buffet restaurant is excellent, great food and welcoming atmosphere. That needs to be replicqted in other areas of the ship

Overall Staff and food were excellent, on the negative side bed smelt bad, towel had a stain on it. Room service very slow to respond. More of the ship should be open to the public especially the engine room. Fascinating history well presented.

The room was very clean and housekeeping looked after it very well. The ship is now beginning to show her age. The company that manages the ship is doing its best, but it will need quite a considerable amount of money spent on the ship in the next few years. We liked to be able to sit on the aft deck after dark and the bar was also an enjoyable, relaxing area. We were half board and found the buffet meals catered for most tastes, but only to about a 3 star quality.

The design and beauty of the reception building adjacent to the ship was gorgeous. The ship itself is carefully maintained and presented to the public like a jewel. So many pieces of memorabilia linked to the working history of the ship are exquisitely preserved so guests can delve deeply into her rich past while enjoying her beautiful amenities. I literally spent hours in the 'Travellers' Cove' happily examining charts and nautical artifacts alone and in a happy place. Virtually every single room one walks into or through is an intellectual and historical treat! Staff are constantly cleaning! She is a huge ship to maintain and staff do it all to very high standards. Buffets are scrumptious and are beautifully prepared. My room had a water-side view. Spotlessly clean! Bed and pillows were so comfy! Amenities, luxurious! Staff are respectful, friendly, helpful and dedicated to the task. Admirable! This hotel is a 'must -see' and 'must experience' Thank you for letting me wander around her decks and historical rooms to fully educate myself at my leisure🙏 I'll be back!!❤️

This is a very unique and historical hotel. A museum as much as a hotel. Lido restaurant great for breakfast and evening meal. Rooms a bit dated and in need of a freshen up but still pleasant. Bed was amazing!!!

It felt surreal actually staying on the QE2. The room was understandably compact, but had a porthole view overlooking the marina, which was pretty cool. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom facilities were great. We had a stroll around the ship and sat outide for a drink and to take in the views. The only downside I would say is my wife ordered some food, but it wasn’t that great but as they’d stopped serving, no alternative could be offered. Nonetheless, it was a great experience and we were both glad we did it :-)

The staff were all amazing. The ship is historic and grand. The room we stayed in the air conditioner was very noisy and getting to and from the hotel was difficult as we had to book taxis. There is a lot of building work there and taxis found it difficult to get there.

it is an old ship, which is matched by the equipment. the ship is actually not as big as it looks, I had one of the best rooms with a balcony overlooking the sea, I can't imagine being in a smaller room. the breakfast is very weak, the overall impression of the accommodation is like staying in a weaker 3-star hotel. the price certainly does not correspond to the quality., for this price you can find nicer and larger accommodation with meals, not to mention a better location and services.

For anyone looking for the QE2 experience, this is a great hotel at a very reasonable price. My Queen Bed, Balcony (Captain's) room was clean and stylish-- great job on the decor! The breakfast was terrific-- both for the food and dining area. It can be a bit difficult to find your way around the ship at first and the location is fairly inconvenient-- very much so if you do not have a car. Overall, I loved the experience and would definitely return.

nice experience to stay at a heritage place.. not much to see in sea view but good to be on the sea view room to feel more being in the ship.. might be in another location where you may feel more dubai.. too much noise of the general ventilation - this makes a bit tough night

Had to stay the British icon as my mum travelled on her years ago and as she’s not lost her charm, if a bit worn in places. The staff were excellent, always ready to help and helpful, especially reception. It was also great to be able to roam the ship and see the history and exhibits.

I recently stayed at the Queen Elizabeth 2 Cruise Style Hotel in Dubai, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. 1. Room Service Issues: The room service numbers provided do not work, and even after multiple attempts, nobody picks up the calls. This was incredibly inconvenient and frustrating. 2. Parking Problems: The hotel does not provide valet parking, nor is there clear guidance for self-parking, making it inconvenient for guests traveling by car. 3. Lack of Food Heating Facilities: There is no provision for reheating food, which is a basic service that most hotels offer. 4. Unhelpful Reception Staff: When I approached the reception staff regarding the food heating issue, they were dismissive and unhelpful, asking me to “check myself.” This lack of customer service was extremely disappointing. Overall, this hotel fails to deliver the basic amenities and service quality one expects. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it to others based on my experience. A hotel of this reputation needs to significantly improve its customer service and facilities to justify its appeal.

Check in was poor - not enough staff. Food was good but restaurant bathrooms were a disgrace. Request for extra bed (‘made 3x - point of reservation/verified with Expedia and at point of checkin) bed was not provided for when we took possession of room late at 8 pm- could not find staff to fulfill missing request. Phone calls to all numbers provided was not answered. No body answers the phones - not enough staff even restaurants can’t get management . Duty managers response not satisfactory to suggestion that failure to answer phone is a safety hazard

Staff was so unfriendly and rude. Mary the manager had no customer skills at all. She was extremely rude towards me and others. The check-in process took us 2 hours and after check-in no one showed us our room as this is not a normal hotel. It took us 30 mins to find our room on the boat. Everything was in order..great location..facilities etc.. however the hotel was let down by the front desk. We arrived after a 10 hour flight at 4.30am ( room booked for the night before) only to find room not ready!..had to wait 30 minutes..with various stories from the front desk...aircon not working was the first excuse...then the next was we are trying to get a sea view for you... just a very poor experience made worse by a rather agressive duty manager..who appeared from nowhere just so rude... they did offer to move rooms the next day but honestly at this stage we wete settled in. Then the same Guy checked us out after 3 nights..and quizzed us on why we had not taken up his offer to move rooms..the guy just would not let go..blah blah..had to say STOP..enough now...definately front desk re training required for both the clerk and the night manager. Other than this..a Great hotel.. with nostalgia.

The qe2 is what you expect in an old boat but it’s really nostalgic and preserved in the right way, couldn’t fault it, The only advice is that there is huge construction happening which makes it awkward plus nearest metro station is a 15 min walk through it all, so taxis are required even through there are some free shuttles once a day to the mall and a beach,

It's a unique experience staying on a cruise ship with hotel accommodations for 5 nights. Nice breakfast, friendly staff and satisfactory room cleaning. Going out is challenging as calling for a taxi costs 8-10 minutes waiting or getting no taxi to come during rush hours, going to the neareast metro station needs 15 minutes walking thru a construction site.

The overall experience was very good, great to explore the iconic ship. Staff were brilliant, and lots of information about the ship. The rooms are very nicely refurbished and shower was nice and hot with good pressure. The negatives were that it was noisy at night with guests allowing their doors to slam, slow closures on doors would solve this issue, and some noisy guests shouting at night. Also there are no paths in or out of the marina due to building works, making it dangerous to arrive on foot, so would recommend arranging a shuttle or taxi when arriving or departing. Overall a good experience and would stay again.

We had an amazing one night stay. It was my husbands birthday and there was a cake delivered to the room and again at dinner. We ate dinner in the Lido and the choice and flavours were amazing. Scrumptious buffet breakfast too. There was some work being carried out, there was some noise but it did not spoil our experience
