Residence Inn by Marriott Nashville at Opryland

Big rooms. Pool is only 3 ft deep. Exercise room is mediocre...

Chose because of pool, pool was closed total stay,had to pay for public pool admission and no hotel convenience, this place was expensive and a disaster with the kids.

Nice room, clean. But the pool was ice cold!!! My kids were looking forward to swimming but the water was frigid

Overall an average Residence Inn by Marriott; carpet very worn: indoor pool absolutely disgusting- very cloudy and the smell when you walked in the pool area was putrid; if you have to park on the back of the property, there is NO handicapped approach; the front of the property has very few parking spaces and not many of those are handicap accessible. Room was a decent size, linens were nice enough, HVAC worked effectively; However the secondary blinds on both windows would not go up/down to allow you to see outside at all. Breakfast was okay; only fresh fruit was apples; most similar hotels offer bananas and oranges; nice eating area that was kept clean.

Excellent staff and so friendly. Loved the shuttle downtown. Only $10 round trip. Breakfast was alright. Rooms are clean and spacious. Hotel is in a great location. Many things to do right in the area.

The ladies at the front desk were so friendly and helpful. Our room was huge with a kitchen and seating area so we weren’t on top of each other. The room could use more lighting by the mirror outside of the bathroom to get ready The pool was nice and never busy. Workout room was nice and the breakfast was delicious! So many good options each day!!

Only thing I would have liked is if pool was heated

I loved this hotel. Super convenient for families, clean beds and spacious rooms. Grills outside to cook on as well as a fire pit! Cons :: INDOOR pool was FREEZING - Hairs all over bathroom floor and on shower walls

Room was very nice and clean. Hot water temperature varied quite significantly, making showering a little interesting. Parking lot on one end abruptly dead-ends without any way to turn around (be prepared to backup). Convenient shuttle to downtown available (for small fee) -- really beats trying to drive down there at night. Overall, everything was really pleasant.

The rooms were spacious. The breakfast is very nice . Don’t count on the pool it is not heated and was just way too cold for swimming. That was disappointing as we chose a hotel where we could use the pool. You just don’t expect an indoor pool to be freezing .

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful on check in. The room was spacious (double queen bed studio), and breakfast offered a good variety every day. Housekeeping service was horrible. We stayed from Monday through Friday. The only day beds were made and dirty towels picked up was Thursday, and that was by request at 5 pm. We asked multiple times for fresh towels, toilet tissue and coffee to be replaced in the room. I wound up placing our trash bins in the hallway, which the housekeeper interpreted as requesting no service. I fortunately speak enough Spanish to explain it was stinking up the room. We had to go to the desk to get towels and TP, never got coffee in the room restocked after day 1. Fortunately, there was plenty of coffee downstairs, but so inconvenient. There is a dishwasher in the room, but we had to load, wash and unload. The lobby and main areas are spotless, but the rooms were not maintained during our stay. Front desk staff apologized for housekeeping, but service did not improve. Pros: spacious room, comfortable beds, breakfast options, proximity to airport and Opry. Kitchenette for special dietary needs/prep. Cons: Housekeeping, proximity to downtown and bars, restaurants.

The hotel itself was fairly nice and comfortable. However, I was traveling with my baby and while I checked the floor thoroughly, she managed to find a pill or medication of some kind that was bright pink under the bathroom vanity that was not from us or our stuff and because I had no clue what it was, and it was dissolving in her mouth, I had to call 911 and take an ambulance to the children’s hospital followed by a 12 hour observation and lots of tests. I understand things happen and not everything is caught during cleaning but it was beyond traumatizing and can only imagine the cost we will incur for the emergency visit and ambulance transport. If you stay here, do your due diligence and canvass every nook and cranny, twice.

We have stayed at this location previously. It needs some repairs. The tile in the bathroom needed repair the tiles were coming loose. The shower could have been cleaner. Carpet by the elevators needs to be replaced. The shades on the wall lamps by the elevators need to be replaced and the entrance door mat needs to be replaced. The staff were all great and friendly. You need someone like me to go around and make lists of items that need improvement.

The blow dryer didn’t work. Mould in the shower. Reception didn’t know much about tourist options.

Clean spacious room. Friendly check in. Good breakfast. Close to Opryland. All of the amenities we wanted - pool, refrigerator and microwave in room.

First room had black ants outside our door and inside the kitchen. There were also other guests who complained of the ants as well and decided to end their stay. The Room was not clean at all when we arrived and the front desk lady was very nice and moved us to a different room at 2am. The second room unfortunately had toilet issues and would not flush. Also the bathroom door was damaged and extremely hard to close. The elevator was broken and would not go to the first floor. Stayed for two nights. Overall the staff was great and did what they could for the inconvenience. But for the price the service should have been better, the cleanliness really needs improvement. Would not recommend this hotel nor would i stay here again.

Hotel was average. The hotel itself was quiet, but We had quite a bit of highway noise from our room early morning. And the fan in the bathroom had a terrible humming noise.

We arrived late!! Our room was 77* the AC was not working. I requested a different room which the hotel gave us without hesitation. New room was 10* cooler!! The beds were comfortable, clean and the room was a nice size

Had to move rooms 3 times because the electrical outlets did not work. All 3 rooms TV's had a dark screen with a blue tint on them. The breakfast sandwiches looked, felt like ,and tasted 2 days old after being reheated for 5 days. The carpets havn't been cleaned in years and are pulling up and rippling.

TV did work in first room. They told me at front desk that it just wasn’t gonna work. I told them that was unacceptable for $1,300 for 4 nights. Worker told me they didn’t have any other rooms but then ended up moving us rooms with a somewhat working TV. The picture on the TV was purple. The hallways were very hot on the 6th floor and smelled like cats. There a man who sat down in the lobby from sun up until 10pm everyday. He was not a worker and gave my family a very weird vibe. Especially with a lot of girls in the hotel for a dance competition. The light in our bathroom had a a very high pitched sound coming from it and it was unbearable to be in there for any length of time. The front desk worker told us that they didn’t have maintenance. When I asked to speak to a manager, she told me she was on vacation and didn’t know when she would be back. Also, the wifi didn’t work half the time. This hotel could use a lot of work.

The room was well laid out and plenty of space. The kitchen and sitting area were fantastic.

We had a wonderful stay while in Nashville. The suite rooms have a great layout and were very spacious. We were in a great location with easy drives to many attractions. Breakfast was nice.

The first room I checked into turned out to not have working air conditioning. So, I re-packed all my stuff to move to a different room on another floor, and then none of my devices could connect to the wifi. Front desk informed me I needed to call their tech service line to connect my devices. After a half hour on the phone with tech service one of my devices was able to connect. The next day the internet was just out for most of the day, and they weren't sure when it would be re-connected.

The hotel was clean and nice layout. The beds were very comfortable. We stayed in a one bedroom king size bed. Comfortable lots of room.

I was in 509. The plugs on the desk and end table by sofa did not work. The shower curtains are insanely short. I stay in a lot of hotels have not ever seen ones that short. It barely touched the top of the tub thus creating issues with making sure you didnt get water everywhere. I would recommed some better pillows. They were not good, even by typically hotel standards. The ice machine on the 5th floor doesnt work either. Im sure you hear things like this from guests all the time. I truly am not trying to be a complainer. I am merely presenting areas in which this nice hotel can be an amazing hotel. Upon check in, i was pleasantly greeted by a lady who appeared to be trainging. As a former manager of a hotel, i inderstand the challenge of the trainer and trainee. That being said, the check in was difficult. I ususally use another brand when i travel throughout the country. The other brand's app is far easier to navigate. I rarely even have to stop at the front desk for check in. I do appreciate the ability to go straight to my room. There are times i do require digital keys and physical keys. I was surprised that i was unable to obtain both for use on either of rooms. So that was odd. I do realize that is something completly out of your control but maybe worthy to note if anyone ever does ask about possible improvements. Overall, this stay was most pleasant. The staff was very nice. Things were clean. Housekeeping was attitive to our needs. The breakfast was very good.

I want to thank the staff. From start to finish you were nothing short of excellent. I requested a room as high as possible and the lady that checked us in made that possible. Every interaction I saw with other guests were genuine and personable. Thank you for all for your efforts.

Staff was helpful when we arrived late due to a delayed flight and sent us to places still open for dinner.

All the hotel’s personnel were very friendly and greeted us every time we entered the hotel. They were very helpful. I have stayed in other hotels and never experienced such friendliness from the hotel staff as I did at the Residence Inn.

Staff couldn't figure out how to get me in the room after an electronic key failure. I was stuck in hall for four hours. The toilet flushed constantly on its own. The light and fan in bathroom squealed a high pitch that was annoying and painful to my ears. The size of room was good, and it appeared clean. Frankly Maintenace in this place couldn't fix a peanut butter sandwich,

Booked 2 queen bed When arrived as told over booked so only one bed; one sleeper sofa NO BEDDING FOR SOFA SLEEPER WHEN WENT DOWN STAIRS TO OBTAIN LINENS was told they were out of all except pillow cases; was given several pillow cases to use as bed linens and also to use as pillows as they were out of them too. **WHEN CHECKED OUT VOICED THE CONCERNS BUT WAS TOLD “sorry- have a good day”;

Had a problem at check in where I had already paid for the room on expedia and the lady working the desk said I need to pay for incidentals. So I gave her my card to pay and she charged the room amount again plus the incidentals. When I looked at my credit card online had been charged twice for the room and the incidental I went down to have her correct it and she stated she could not as I wasn't charged twice for the room. So I waited until the next morning and went back to front desk where the nice gentleman working the desk said they had in fact charged me twice and got it corrected in less than 10 minutes. He was super helpful and apologetic. Overall the building its self and the breakfast were both great. Would defiantly stay again.

Staff were the nicest I have encountered at any hotel since COVID. They were kind, always smiling, and quick to address us every time. Had issues with 2 rooms and they had it corrected very quickly.

Very nice and quiet place to stay in Nashville. Its location is close to main attractions, shopping, and food. Staff is great and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Will stay again in my next visit.

Very convenient to Grand Ole Opry and Opry Mills. Check-in was rapid. Staff very helpful and supportive with our requests for dining and local entertainment options. Room was very clean. Great stay.

We’ve stayed I’m Residence Inns before and have been very happy, but there wasn’t much to like about this particular Residence Inn. The first room we were given had dirty wine glasses, a dirty counter, bed partially made, etc. We requested another room. The second room did not have working lights and mold in the shower. We went back and requested a third room. We told the person at the check-in desk we were leaving. A woman came from behind the back. She proceeded to talk to us with her mouth full of food. She told us the first room was removed from the cleaning rotation and was not their fault. The second room was our fault because we didn’t know how to turn on the light switch, hmmm. The woman/manager gave us a third room which was clean and we were surprised when we flipped the light switch, miraculously the lights came on. The bed was very comfortable. In the morning, we needed something at the free breakfast but couldn’t get it because the attendant did not speak one word of English. Breakfast items needed to be refilled, we had watered down orange juice and we couldn’t find a clean table in the dining area. To say the least we were very disappointed.

Rooms were spacious & comfortable, staff was friendly, professional & helpful. Breakfasts were good with several choices. It was only an 11 minute drive from the airport, & very convenient to the Opry Mills Mall, with plenty of restaurant choices. Would stay here again.

Great option near the Opry House. Big rooms, comfortable amenities, good breakfast, wonderful staff. Only drawback is there's nothing in walking distance in this area of town - but everything needed was a short easy drive. Would absolutely stay here again.

Breakfast was amazing. Many options with hot options. Rooms could have been cleaner. Carpet was dusty and there was a wet towel in the bathroom. Rooms are big and comfortable though.
