Nice clean establishment at an affordable rate. No continental breakfast but Waffle House is directly across the street in walking distance

Clean rooms, friendly staff, smaller private hotel/Inn, comfortable bed, ice machine and vending machine in the lobby, fresh brewed coffee served in the lobby, convenient parking and convenient location.

Property was very overrated. Only basic furnishings and a small bath. Noisy highway(US301) only about 200 yards away. Bring earplugs. No microwave or minifridge in room. Had to dress to use a communal microwave at end of hall way and get ice at a machine in the lobby on 1st floor since there wasn't one on second floor. Property should have been described as a budget "No Frills" hotel. It was clean but surrounding areas were not great and not convenient to I-95. Would give property about a 7.5 to 8 rating at most.

nice place only two problems, no elevator, so carrying my big bag up stairs is not fun. Front desk is not staffed all the time, so you got to call to get staff, sign on door states, call this number to make reservation only, otherwise you feel I'm out of luck; Returned on my way to airport to get receipt.

Recently renovated. Clean. There are rooms with kitchenette, what is a rarity and super convenient for travelers. The only thing is missing coffee and tea maker in the kitchenette.

Room was clean. Parking lot was repaved.

Felt good staying here. No coffee pot in the room but the coffee down the hall was very good. There was a hairdryer in the room. Friendly front desk.

The parking lot is well lit. The staff are friendly and respectful.

- If there's a kitchen or restaurant inside the hotel, it would be perfect. At least for a breakfast you need to walk out and find a place. - If possible to fit each room with one kettle. - Everything else was awesome from staff behavior, to cleanliness, calm place, and overall peaceful spot. Cute little clean room, 2 queen beds, on 1st floor. Only a fridge in the room...microwave is upstairs for all to use. Mostly quiet in the evening...only heard people in the room above me for alilbit.

The room seemed decent, walls are thin we were awoken at 3:30 in the morning to the people above us running around, making noise, opening and closing doors or cabinets in their room. Cleaner than other places I came across. There was some food crumbs under 1 bed, the bathroom had some hair around bottom of toilet and in the bathtub. The towel that was on the tub when we arrived felt damp. Beds were ok, this was a 1 night stop to get off the road and get some sleep which unfortunately was ruined by the guests upstairs. Check in was easy and they were friendly.

I got ate up by bed bugs at Mt. Rose hotel.

Very Clean Hotel. We stayed one night on our way to Sunset Beach. The shower had hot water. TV was awesome. We were exhausted. Great place to rest and relax. ❤️

I have traveled all over world. This little gem was absolutely the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. Absolutely perfect. We frequent the area and this will be our regular stop.

The room seemed decently clean, but there was hair in the shower and when I was looking for my daughter's shoes under the bed I found an adult toy package that was left. Luckily I was the one that found it, and not one of my kids.

From the moment we walked in it was super clean. The hallways were clean. The common areas were clean, and we felt our rooms were immaculate. We've been in five different hotels over the last week, and this has to have been the cleanest one and it spelled wonderful.

I was amazed how clean it was. The price was great, but I picked it because it had good reviews & is close to the place we were headed to. On the phone, & in person, the staff was super nice. You also didn’t feel like you were going to get mugged going to your car like the last place we stayed. Also, the bed was more comfortable than mine at home. I didn’t want to get up. So yes, I absolutely would stay there again. We booked through Hotels.com & had no issues with the reservation.

Hotel was better than I expected, appears to have been recently renovated.

Nice low budget hotel. It's clean and well maintained with plenty of parking. Only complaint is that the walls are thin! Conversations in other rooms sound like they are right next to you. A loud talker or loud tv in the next room requires earplugs.

The room was clean and fine for an overnight stay, however, while one of us was in the room with the deadbolt latched, the other opened the door, including the deadbolt, with a room key. This is not secure, especially since the front desk closes at 9am.

My door would not close properly. Unless I locked it from the inside I could pull it open and anyone could push it and enter the room. It wasn't a problem when I was in the room because I would lock it. I never had to use my key to get in the room.

The room was small but comfortable. The hotel is on a busy road but the room was quiet. No complaints. Very good choice for a one night stopover.

The place was clean. Staff was decent. But my major concern was the locks on my room. It was easy to open without the electronic key card, turn handle and could easily be pushed open. Even trying to lock from inside would not lock. Only locks was deadbolt and door handle locks, There was no other locks like most other place for added security. I reported the problem and they said they fixed issue but did not. Did not feel safe ESPECIALLY AFTER SEEING 4 SHERIFF CARS THERE WHILE SITTING ACROSS STREET WAITING TO CHECK IN. So instead of saying anything else I let it go because lady in front was already having a bad day. So i did not sleep well that night after, already driving 2.5 hours being at coliseum since 7am and then had a big event to attend next day at the coliseum next door. Traveled with wife and 2 kids. I was tired so i did not ask for another room because lady in front was doing everything cleaning rooms, front desk check in, laundry, answering phones, so I seen she having bad day and let it be, plus I figured all the rooms was same.

Our stay this weekend was a truly pleasant experience from Check In to check out. We were greeted promptly upon arrival. Check In went quickly and smoothly. We were given our choice of rooms and were impressed by the cleanliness of our room. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. We could not have asked for a better experience.

I have stayed at this location many times in the last few years and until now it had always been a decent place to stay. I’ve even referred friends and family to stay here. It’s never been the nicest or cleanest place, but it was good enough for my needs and it was close to where I needed to be. This time, however, management was absolutely horrible. The service was non-existent, there is zero help available if something happens at night, and there’s zero security. The lady in-charge is rude to both customers and staff and this time she refused to help me after I booked a night on hotels.com. She specifically told me that I should have booked directly with her and that she had “more important things to do” than to check me in because she wasn’t going to wait for the reservation to be sent or her via their computer system. I reached out to hotels.com to see if they could speed up their communication or cancel the reservation so that I could book directly with the location. The customer service rep reached out to the hotel, but this lady was rude to them as well. She then proceeded to tell me that I couldn’t stay there because I had “complained” to hotels.com when all I had done was reach out to them in an effort to speed up my check-in. I expressed my disappointment to the lady, but she continued to blame me and hotels.com for HER issues. My reservation was refunded, but I’ll never go back to this place or recommend it to any friends or family members ever again.

When we arrived the front desk was inoperable, no one was available and had a number to call in order to check in. When i called the number on the note it sounded like the lady just rolled out of bed. 4 hours later no one was at the desk. Got a full refund through hotels.com.

It was the worst stay ever!! Lots of traffic. Nobody at the front desk after 10 pm. They just lock you in. Last night the power went out in the whole Hotel and Nobody around to help. There was no dead bolt lock on the door. It was all electrical. So, anybody coukd have walked in on me without lights on. I only got 2 hours of sleep. I coukd hear the room next door and they were snoring loudly. I had just drove 12 hours and needs sleep!! But was a joke!!! They gave me the wrong size room. I paid extra for the room i reserved. I will never go back!!

From the moment of my checkin where I was greeted by Reggie whom was really helpful and full of great info to the well kept hotel and nice room, my stay at Mt. Rose went nicely from start to finish. Well done.

The staff was very accommodating

I have stayed at this property at least one night a week for the last month. It’s simple, close to the office, check in is easy, friendly staff, quiet and meets my basic needs. I think it’s a good deal for the price and works for my needed location. I plan to continue staying here one night a week for the next several months

I wish this property sat in a better, more convenient, and safer part of town. Being on Rt 301 Business isn't the greatest.

Nothing I disliked. Mostly I liked the proximity to the Crown Complex. I was in town for a JW Convention being held there. I will definitely stay at the “The Rose” when in the area again.

The clerk at check in was rude. I almost cancelled and went to another hotel, but choices were limited. There was no microwave, no elevator to the 2nd floor. If you are elderly or have disabilities, the walk up is not an option. Access to the hotel is inconvenient and actually a little bit dangerous as you have to exit off, U turn, then immediately cross a frontage road.

The stay was short, in yown for a concert which was right across the street, awesome, yes, i loved the room.

I wanted a clean, comfortable & reasonably price hotel near (~5min) the airport. Mt. Rose was perfect! I would definitely choose this hotel again!

Great place near events center

This little hotel has been renovated into a very clean & comfortable stop. We were able to walk 14 min to the Crowne Coliseum for a show and avoid the crazy parking lot.

Convenient, comfortable, and affordable place for a one-night stay on a road trip. Professional staff, efficient check-in, and clean rooms. Location easily accessible from I-95.

First, this hotel is NOT on I-95. It is on the "business" spur of I-95 so you drive miles off I-95 to get to it. I almost didn't recognize it because it doesn't really look like the photo and it's in a semi-industrial area. My rating on service was not because of the young lady at the counter. She was fine and called me in advance to let me know that the front desk is closed and door locked after midnight so get there before midnight. I was nearby when she called so no issue but there was no advance warning through hotels.com to plan your trip accordingly. The room was okay. A bit old looking but not dumpy. Bed was comfortable enough and truly didn't matter to me that my room faced the U-Haul lot. It is not the quietest hotel but other guests quieted down before it got too late. There is no free breakfast but the free coffee in the lobby got me out the door. There are vending machines in the small lobby and a common use microwave. I will admit that the access back to I-95 was not difficult, just a bit of a drive. If saving money is important, it's an okay choice.

We stayed at this hotel for one night on our way to visit family. It wasn't in a great location. The room itself was okay, although the first pillow I tried was like sleeping on a couch cushion--awful. The second was a little better. There was really only one spot to open a suitcase, so the other stayed on the kitchenette counter. We knew when we reserved the room that it did not come with breakfast--although upon checking out there was a pot of coffee in the lobby area. The front desk person checking us in was really nice. Overall, it was fine but nothing to rave about.

I was late for my scheduled check-in but the front desk assistant was very helpful in helping my family and I to settle in our room. The two nights we spent were relatively comfortable. We did not get breakfast as we were told so I give an average four stars .

The hotel itself was very no frills, super clean, small and great for an overnight stay midway between Florida and the North East. It's very affordable and good food options a plenty. The area itself isn't great. I wouldn't go out at night there. There's a Walmart very close that I didn't go to but if you have needs it's there.
