Excellent rooms. Parking is 12 bucks but easy self service in and out with room card. Some small things that irked were thin towels and one ply toilet paper (i mean really?). Beds were super comfy and rooms large. The building itself is very cool with awesome super large hallways and ceilings. I appreciated too the security with 24 hour elevator controlled by the room card. There is no breakfast but there is an excellent diner a block and a half away though it didnt open till 8 AM. All in all a good experience for the price that could use just a bit of improvement in the small details.

The fact that the "parking garage" AKA open parking deck doesn\'t connect to the hotel via elevator and no staff related that info and I walked from the deck with bags to the front door when I could have off loaded my bags there. So ridiculous and very inconvenient!

Room was large, clean, well-maintained. Not sure what housekeeping schedule was. Couldn't get change for tips, so I didn't ask, didn't come automatically. The Hotel is a restored building that was the first skyscraper in Youngstown. It is a beautiful building with very beautiful plantings and flowers in the front. Rooms are large and very clean. Staff was friendly and efficient. Parking is convenient in an open lot next door for $12.00 a day. Room prices were very reasonable. I have only one suggestion for improvement. The very fine restaurant has very limited hours and provides breakfast only from room service. A very expensive breakfast. The Restaurant, Bistro 1907, does not open until late in the day so no lunch is available the hotel. My daughters and I ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was excellent and the specialty cocktails were delicious. I would recommend this Hotel highly.

Front desk staff at check in couldnt find our reservatation an wanted to re charge us about 600.00. They have a parking garage but we had to pay 10.00 every time we left for parking. At check out we were informed about a key for the garage. Really. We stayed 3 days we no information about the key for parking.

Very nice hotel! Old building with great renovations. Comfortable beds. When I checked in they said we could not have a king sized bed as booked because they didn't have any available but I booked a king, not a huge deal just heads up if you book on Expedia. They have a water bottle filling station in the gym which was awesome. Gym was very nice even had a peleton. Restaurant and bar downstairs was great

The view from the front 4th floor window is really nice. The receptionist was friendly and the one other staff member I interacted with was nice. My only complaint is they obviously forgot to clean the toilet. I called and asked for a toilet brush, imaging someone would come and clean it for me. No, they handed me the toilet brush and I was cleaning my own hotel toilet! I know this is not normal at the DoubleTree but it did start off my stay in a less than stellar way. They did offer to change my room but I had just personally disinfected all the surfaces in the room. So I wasn't about to do that again.

Bed and pillows smell like BO and there was a homeless man sleeping in front of the entry door which blocked me from going into the hotel and I had to walk all the way around the building with my hands full of luggage. When I spoke to the morning staff Jada she seemed like it was normal activity there. Zero security or personnel on property at night.

Room was ok. Around the beds baseboards were dusty/dirty. There was an old cheerio on the floor in between the two queen beds. There was a lot of dust on fixtures etc. like it hadn’t been dusted in a while. For the price we paid; breakfast should be included & not $12, esp for people traveling etc. Not sure if we would stay there again or not.

Our stay with you is always good. This time we were on the third floor, which our windows opened to roof and there were several dead birds that had been there for awhile. Just was not the most pleasant to open the windows up to. Linens were not in closet, we had to call, which they were quick. Found a hair from previous guest in shower, but I understand that can be hard to miss. I just write in to be honest, but we will be staying there again in future as it’s our fav hotel in area.

The overall experience was excellent. We would definitely stay here again if ever in the area. "Cleanliness" received only four-stars as there was a lot of clutter found behind the dresser and table (not visible unless you looked behind the dresser). "Area Around the Property" received only four stars as there was a lot of roadway construction in progress and it made entry to the hotel somewhat confusing - but this is not the fault of the hotel.

Barely enough water pressure to wash our hands when we arrived. Never thought we would have the same issue with the shower. But the next morning we barely had enough water in the shower to shampoo our hair. The glass shower half-wall blocks you from turning on the water to see if there is enough water pressure until you’re in the shower. The bed was comfortable. Pillows are great. Staff was friendly but would do NOTHING to compensate for the terrible experience. Thankfully Hotels.com was able to get a 10% refund.

Have stayed overnight about a dozen times at this hotel. Good experiences up to this one. The mattress was a cheap one, very uncomfortable. At around midnight, a fight broke out in the room next to ours. Constant screaming of obscenities, shouting, body slams against the wall for about an hour, then finally the fight(s) spilled out into the hallway. Called management, they sent some up to quell the mini-riot. Then, loud talking in the room, right behind my headboard, until 3am or so. We never heard anything from another room during previous stays - I don't know if this was a construction shortcut particular to the room we had on this visit, but the walls were disappointingly thin. This is an otherwise nice place, but be advised, if there is a brouhaha in a room around you, you'll be hearing all the action all night long.

My room was large and comfortable, convenient to the elavators. My only complaint was the shower; you had to get into the shower and turn on the cold water which hit you right in the face while adjusting the temperature. Poor design.

A reservation, pre-paid weeks in advance, may not hold your room at this hotel. We arrived in the lobby, luggage and infant in-hand, only to learn that our room had been given away because the hotel allowed some people to extend thier reservations and has a "first-come, first served" overbooking policy. No one even attempted to contact us to say that our room was in jeopardy. We have stayed at this hotel several times before and not even our loyalty was considered. We were able to find a new hotel but what would we have done if there had been some kind of event in town and hotels were sold out? The Double Tree paid for one night of the stay at our new hotel but that felt quite insufficient given the level of inconvenience. The hotel tried to point out that this had never happened to us before, during our many stays, as some sort of consolation. How many times do you need to be completely displaced before a complaint has merit?

Hotel was oversold and room was not available. We confirmed the morning of arrival and told we were confirmed. We were sent to another, lesser Hilton property 20 miles away. On arrival there we were told by staff they had our name the day prior. This is not acceptable to first over book. That\'s Hotel 101. Second lie to you when you confirm and not notify the minute they are aware of the problem. This is not my first issue with Hilton booking. The staff was totally unapologetic tell us "good news" we have booked you at a cappy hotel 20 miles away but won\'t charge you. How the hell is that "good news".

The young woman at the front desk when I arrived )at almost midnight, 10/15, couldn’t have been nicer!! She was friendly, efficient, and professional! She accommodated my request for a high floor, checked me in quickly, and was gracious throughout!

Overall everyone was super nice. Rooms were clean. Easy walk to things around! My only issue was with having to file a noise complaint and nothing seemed to be done. I got little sleep that night. When I mentioned it at checkout once again the staff seemed annoyed that I brought it up. But if I’m paying that much for a room I feel as if something should be done or a partial refund or something should be issued.

Check in time was 3pm we got there at 4pm and our room wasn't ready AND they wouldn't let us check in. We had to leave our party and come back to check-in. They were not very understanding. I paid $400 for the room!! Totally ridiculous!

Made this reservation in January. Showed up to No Room in May. Couldn’t explain why just they didn’t have our room. Sent us to a different hotel, miles away ( picked this hotel so we could walk to our event) Room not large enough for all of us. one person slept on floor on mattress from rollaway bed because the frame didn’t fit in the room. THEN BILLED ME FOR THE HIGHER PRICED ROOM AT THE DOUBLETREE. Ridiculously unhappy

Very recently renovated. The downtown section is being renovated as a whole and it's looking great! I loved how convenient everything was to this hotel. Lots of food options and shopping all within a few blocks. If you don't want to walk, then the Bistro 1907 in the hotel is a great restaurant itself. A great place for business or pleasure!

The breakfast was cold… I’ve eaten there plenty of times, and the food was good. This tine, the entire breakfast was lousy. The electric burners were mot working (they were on). But not adequate enough to keep the entire batch hot. Every item was cold. I was disappointed…

We stayed here overnight during our long drive home for the holidays. It is a gorgeous hotel with spacious, clean rooms and a wonderful, helpful staff! The restaurant was beautifully decorated with delicious food and great service. Parking is easy - the lot is literally next door to the hotel. This property is a real gem and I will stay here again if I am ever in the area.

Half way point of our trip. Nice quiet town. Great facility, but not much nearby on a Sunday that was open for dinner. Hotel restaurant was very good if Italian is your thing.
