Tru by Hilton Bowling Green, KY

There are many great ideas in design of this newer Hilton brand that I haven’t seen before now. It is Colorful and well thought out. Rooms are smaller than average but much better use of space than most all hotels—akin to some IKEA design elements and use of space. Fridge is under a stand for luggage as well as a luggage stand built over the AC unit with plenty of airflow and a wall mounted temp and fan control. Definitely a larger than average TV however it seems to use conventional hotel cable system setup—not sure if the hdmi ports work for personal use. There is a rolling desk and just the desk chair for seating (also bed or luggage rack too). We stayed 2 nights in a King room and it met all our needs—also lobby has extensive community seating of many types as well as various games and largest selection of hotel snack bar food and drinks I have seen. I really like the very open lobby design. Nice fitness center with towels TVs etc. Indoor pool no hot tub.This property seems to actually change the filter on the fountain and water bottle fill system which was a welcome change compared to most bottle fill fountains! Excellent breakfast prepared with pride primarily by Miss P! They have a pancake machine vs the usual waffle makers, but the pancakes were good and some weekends she does 2 or 3 types of omelettes too, 3-11 Desk staff was awesome and helped fix a room issue caused by this site consistently overselling a type of room. Call instead & they can find out for you.

My husband and I planned this 3 day weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. We traveled 4 hours to Bowling Green from Indiana. Upon checking in, the front desk individual looked sloppy. His shirt had bleach all over it, was extremely wrinkled, and his overall appearance was dingy and greasy. The hotel when walking in also had a funky smell. Our room was definitely not throughly clean and probably hadn’t been cleaned very well in months. The bathroom was the worst. Blue crusted residue all around the toilet buttons and the baseboards and shower entrance was nasty. The room was extremely small for even two people. The pillows and bed were uncomfortable. The blanket on the bed is a tad bit thicker than a sheet. When leaving or arriving to and from the hotel, not once did the from desk acknowledge us. The breakfast included also came with an individual I called the breakfast natzi. This woman watched you like a hawk. It was very uncomfortable and we chose not to eat breakfast at the hotel. I wish I picked a different hotel. I would never stay at a Tru by Hilton ever again in my life.

This is where we ALWAYS stay while in Bowling Green. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but the staff is the best--professional, friendly, caring, helpful and down-to-earth! We especially enjoy Patricia, who does a wonderful job serving breakfast every morning! It's always a delightful time!

I've been a lot of hotels in the past year. Many were more expensive. I was very impressed. The cleaning staff did an outstanding job. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was very good. Well done. The bed was very comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Great stay.

Pool not open. Disappointing.
