Hotel located on the upper floors of a shopping center. Very friendly and professional staff. Clean rooms, rather basic but comfortable, lighting could probably be improved. Overall, a good stay. Communication about the parking could be improved, because the pedestrian entrance to the hotel (where Google Maps takes you) is on the opposite side from the parking lot, and to get there you have to drive around the city center again, which takes about 10 minutes.

The check-in was good - the receptionist very welcomming and nice. But the room was discusting - very dirty and smelled of old sweat and the carpet had so many stains on it (and the furniture) and the shower cabin dirty. Very uncomfortable - at least the sheets seemed clean but the pillow and duvet had a discusting smell.

Had a fantastic stay in Novotel Charleroi, bright and spacious rooms with great showers. Bed was very comfortable. Only issue I had was the speed of check in with only one member of staff working and a queue of 6/7 guests, not a big issue overall. Fantastic stay.

J’avais réservé une chambre familiale, je me suis vue attribuer une chambre standard double et on a rajouté un petit lit d’une personne. La chambre était minuscule , lorsque je suis aller me plaindre on a pas fait d’effort pour me changer de chambre juste me faire comprendre Qu’il n’y avait rien de disponible. Vraiment pas professionnel et mauvais service . Je ne recommande pas du tout .

Tudo bem exceto que o hotel é um pouco barulhento. Eu preciso de silêncio para conseguir dormir, e aqui não tinha esse silêncio. Felizmente, tinha uns headphones com noise cancelling que me ajudaram a adormecer, mas não foi a estadia mais confortável. Para o nível e preço do hotel esperava um pouco melhor.

Hotel is well situated next to a shopping centre in the best part of Charleroi. Comfortable hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. Good sized room - only drawback being that bathroom facilities are in bedroom (basin is open-plan & would have preferred more privacy). We enjoyed a nice meal in the restaurant and breakfast was plentiful.

La atención de la señorita que nos atendió cuando llegamos fue horrible.Cuando le dijimos que solo hablábamos español ya nos puso cara, en plan ," ufff". Nos dio un papelito para llegar al parking, pero el GPS nos llevó a otro porque no había plantas inferiores. Nos tocó salir, dejar el coche mal aparcado y entrar e intentar decirle a la señorita que no encontrábamos el parking que nos decía. Intentamos hablar con ella con el traductor, a lo cual también nos puso cara de que pesados. Al final pasamos de ella y fuimos a buscar el parking. Que al final estaba más adelante, pero no sabemos porque con lo que ella nos dió nos mandaba al otro. Y debe ser siempre así porque había otra pareja que le pasó lo mismo. Podría haber tenido más interés en atendernos bien y nos hubiéramos ahorrado todo el tiempo perdido con el dichoso parking

Les œufs du petit déjeuner sont surcuits et secs. Le petit déjeuner est débarrassé sous nos yeux et les plateaux de charcuterie et fromage superposés les uns sur les autres…on se demande si c’est resservi derrière. Les machines à café débranchées à 10h tapantes. Bref. Seul le nom est commun à un autre Novotel. Le reste est catastrophique

I would like to highlight an incident that occurred on the day of checkout which negatively affected my overall experience. Early in the morning, shortly after I had woken up the door to my room was opened without any knocking or announcement. The door closed immediately but a short while later the same thing happened again. This time while I was in the shower. I hope it was a housekeeper but regardless of who it was. It is very concerning that no one knocked or announced themselves before entering. I reported this to the reception desk but I never received confirmation about who had accessed the room. This made me feel both unsafe and uncomfortable and I believe it is something the hotel needs to address to ensure guests’ privacy and security.

My wife, our 8-month-old daughter, our dog, and I stayed at the hotel for one night while traveling through the area. The streets surrounding the hotel felt a bit dodgy, as there were quite a few people who appeared to be under the influence of substances. Unfortunately, the hotel restaurant was booked for a private event, so my family and I had to go out and look for food. However, we managed to find a very nice restaurant further down the street. The hotel room had a nice view and all the basic necessities one could ask for. There was a bit of mold in the bathroom, and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. The hotel was excellent, in the city center. What was not so excellent, is that our car was broken into and stolen from shortly after our arrival at Charleroi, even though it was in the Q-Park (not affiliated with Novotel). We had not researched Charleroi before coming there, so we didn't know that it is known for its level of crime and beggars. When I went to move my car to a safer location, I noticed unsavory people squatting inside the garage.

Hotel itself is OK - similar to other Novotels I have stayed in. Area around hotel rather grim. Several defunct shops and restaurants. Not the fault of the hotel. Need a good street plan to find hotel unless somebody gives you directions. If you consult Google maps print out the detailed directions if you can. Unless your smartphone can direct you.
