Hotel Peppertree Bend, BW Premier Collection

Arrived for a conference. Staff was very helpful. Good breakfast. Nice pool and hot tub. Great bike storage room.

Well kept, new hotel in a good location close to the river. We stayed when on-site restaurant was closed, so we got a discount at nearby Lifty’s Pub (good food!) The hotel has a bike storage room, indoor pool & hot tub (with great jets) good rooms and nice decor. What it doesn’t have is much staff/service. More of a DIY place, you can grab snacks and beverages and purchase on a tablet and be on your way. If that’s your style, this is a very good spot.

The check in was fine but I needed to duplicate info I provided verbally which was a little annoying. My room was clean. Although across from pool and had the plumbing stacks next to it so it was overly loud. Especially when someone flushed. The restaurant could accommodate me, a solo traveler. Disappointing. The vehicle charger in the lot was not functioning (one of the reasons I picked this hotel) and no one at the property could tell me about the charger…(again disappointing). The breakfast was fine. Check out was easy.

No heat on in the swimming pool at all. Freezing water. And no towels in swimming area. Restaurant there has super limited options. Rooms are nice.

Nice hotel. Spacious room. Helpful staff. I was surprised the gym didnt have dumbells but wasnt bad. Not too far of a walk to hit a lot of Bend's must-dos. Would definitely stay again.

Nice hotel, close to Mt Bachelor. Convenient hot breakfast and restaurant for dinner on site. Clean rooms. There's an activity room on site that was great for our kids to play in.

Newer building, but very, very noisy. We could hear people opening and closing their sliding closet and bathroom doors all night long. The in-wall/in-window heater is a throwback to 1970s motels-- extremely loud. Worst part about our stay was finding out that they only have one EV charger, it was frequently in use, and you had to pay a separate fee to use it. The hotel did NOT disclose that in their listing (they made it sound like they had free Tesla Destination Charging, which they don't). This may sound like nitpicking, but when your care needs a charge after a four-hour drive, arriving at the hotel to find out they essentially lied is very disappointing.

It was decent - just ok really. For the good things: the hotel and grounds, in general, were clean and convenient. The room was large with a big bathroom and great shower. The bed was comfortable and had the right amount of support. Now for the not so good: the on-site restaurant was under construction and unavailable. I just went up to Lifty’s up the street, but I wasn’t notified of this when booking or during check-in. Would have been nice to know. The free hot breakfast is always a nice benefit, but it wasn’t good at all. Imitation eggs were so overly salty they were barely edible. Sausage links were undercooked. Bagels and muffins were stale. The pool and hot tub were crowded the two times I tried to use them. The “gym” is a joke - a resistance machine, one treadmill, an elliptical, a stationary bike, and a set of kettle bells. No actual free weights or bar sets and it was extremely hot in there. The wall thermostat in my room didn’t work at all and I had to manually adjust the AC and fan on the unit. It’s pretty evident that this hotel, which isn’t very old, is already showing its age. Lastly, the staff weren’t terribly friendly nor did they seem to care too much about my experience. I understand the hospitality industry is difficult, but folks who work the front desk should be - you know - hospitable. Or at least just personable. This is the most convenient hotel to my office by far, but I think I might try somewhere else next time.

I was very pleased with this hotel, new, clean, very nice. Would definitely go back on a return visit to Bend.

I think overall the hotel is good. I think the housekeeping could be better. The shower needs to be scrubbed once in a while as there is mold in the grout lines. The pillow cases come not pressed. Just little stuff like that.

I don’t know if we just got a bad room or what, but we had what was quite possibly the most disgusting hotel shower I’ve ever seen. Wish I had taken a photo of how bad it was. Had to wear shoes in the shower it was so bad. There were also stains on one of our pillows and several stains on the sheets. The self check in would be nice if it was actually easy to use, but it isn’t. Person at front desk the night we checked in completely ignored us even when my husband directly asked for help.

We noticed a few spots in the room that were stained or appeared to not be clean. The floor in the bathroom was filthy and the sheets on one of the beds seemed to be unwashed. They had multiple spots and stains that looked to be blood or food. The room was otherwise comfortable but the cleanliness could have been better.

The property was quiet. The room had hair in the shower. The room wasnt clean. Thr bed was hard and not worth the premium price and advertisement.

There’s no housekeeping unless you stay for 5 plus days. You have to ask for everything every day. The shower was incredibly dirty/stained with gray stains on the shower pan. For 200 dollars a night I was very disappointed. Won’t stay here again

Clean property and rooms, friendly staff, not your standard room bathtub/curtain situation. Instead, nice walk around corner, tiled entry shower. Small upgrades that make a big difference Pet friendly place, but doesn’t look or smell like it. Will absolutely stay again.

Great breakfast. Lots of choices. Even a bagel bar & pancakes. Super friendly staff. Our room had a cozy & romantic fireplace! Super convenient for getting around Bend and access to all the great hiking high desert museum & kayaking.

I don't like posting negative stuff, but... The refrigerator and safe didn't work, the air conditioner sounded like a truck, the shower only had a handheld shower head and was mounted to the wall facing the curtain, so it leaked water all over the floor if you put it in the mount and tried to use it like a regular shower head. The fire alarm had a red flashing light directly over the bed and flashed a few times every minute. I was told by the staff it was required, but i have never seen that in a hotel before. At least the bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly.

When we checked in the toilet paper rolls were pretty low. Room was spacious and clean. But, walks are paper thin and could hear everyone speaking and flushing toilets.

Very nice modern hotel with large rooms, comfortable bed, and nice amenities. I appreciated the spaciousness of the bathroom and the room overall. The lobby makes a nice place to hang out with several seating areas and a large two-story glass wall, giving a great view.

Nice room but the shower definitely needs grab bars. The shower is long and narrow and the floor is very slippery. I almost fell 3 times.

Absolutely perfect. A real breakfast. Almost new condition, great mountain view from our room. We enjoyed our stay very much.

I paid extra for a mountain view room both nights that I stayed, and its just a view of the parking lot. My tv didnt work and i was given 3 remotes and told there was nothing else they could do my forst night. The second night staff asked me if i wanted to just keep my same room, i said no because the tv doesnt work, they assured they would send maintenance and make sure the tv was working or move me to another room. It still did not work. When i contaced staff the second evening and let them know it was not working again, they did nothing and wouldnt get back to me. I was woken up to loid noises like scratching on my ceiling and outaide my door and banging at 1:00 am, I looked out my door to see what it could be and there was nothing. I went back in my room and realized it was loudest in the bathroom a d main room, it was ny neighbor taking a shower and it makes crazy loud noises for the neighboring room. I am NOT a light sleeper... When i went to get back into my room on my second evening my key wouldnt work that they made me that morning. When i took it to the front desk and let them know, they made me try to prove who i was with my arms full of food and belongings and eventually find my ID! Dispite this being my second night there, and already having to go up 3 flights with full arms just to have the key not work and back down to the lobby for them to make it a whole stressful thing, and then back up to my room again... This was a stressful stay, and not realxing at all

Room was spacious, well appointed and clean. Unfortunately, two issues spoilt the stay for us. Whenever, the toilet was flushed in the room above, it sounded like thinder. And the a/c compressor was right outside the room window, and very noisy when it came on. Both issues were a problem to getting a good night's sleep. We reported them to the front desk. Except for promises to look into it, no compensation was offered for such a highly rated and expensive room. We would not stay there again

This is a really nice modern hotel with spacious rooms, plenty of parking, excellent amenities (a terrific exercise room), a good breakfast, and a very convenient location near downtown Bend. For the price this hotel is just unbeatable.

Excellent service and staff. Very clean, comfortable, quiet rooms. Very satisfied.

Pillows are 1/2 sized and make sure u look at bed size because picture will show a king but they have single queens which is unusual. If you are planning on doing a late night check in don’t plan on talking to anyone to help you check in after a long trip. They have gone automated which was a pain and annoying.

The only issue was that the front desk is understaffed. Waited to check in, and waited about 5 minutes at check out. Finally the person who maintains the breakfast line came by, searched for the front desk person with no luck, then wrote down my name on a piece of paper and placed my room keys with it. No luck on getting a receipt. Never did hear from the place as to whether the checkout was completed.

The check in is at 4pm. At 3:55 the room is still not ready, because they want you to pay early check in. At 4:05pm still not ready

Trying to use technology for check in process - completely bizarre, unfriendly and mistake ridden. First, they sent a text with bizarre check in process that I was supposed to fill out on line to get a qr code to get my keys. Then another text telling me credit card hadn't validated and I needed to contact them before 4:00 or my reservation would be canceled. This while I was trying to drive through a primitive part of Oregon (Central Oregon) that doesn't have cell service except in quick flashes. So I had to pull over to call them. It took talking to 3 people and waiting while it took them several minutes to determine that yes, my card actually had gone through and all was well, so their threatening email was for nothing. Then we get here and do in person check in, and then I get emails from Expedia telling me that my keys (that I already had) were ready to be picked up (but only for one of the rooms). The whole thing is really stupid. And the location is in a weird part of Bend. Just a strange experience. They have a coffee bar in the lounge that is about 10 feet from the front desk, but they have a sign telling you to text a phone number if there is a problem with the coffee (instead of walking over to the front desk). So strange. Using technology to make things less convenient and less friendly. They are probably trying to get away with fewer staff. Noisy sliding doors in the closet & bathroom, you can hear upstairs & next door. Sheets did not seem fresh.

For the very high prices charged, I felt the value was completely out of line. When we tried to check in around 9PM, we waited over 30 minutes for someone to come to the desk. We used the check in kiosk, which worked fine, picked a room for us, and made our keys. As we headed to the elevators, the front desk employee appeared, apologized, and said she was "fixing a television". Our room had a broken window handle that prevented the window from being opened; we reported it the next morning early(with two nights still to go) and not only was it never fixed, we were never told why. When I asked the next day at the front desk they said they didn't know. For nearly 300$ a night one would think that their policy of servicing your room every 5--FIVE---days and not touching your room to empty wastebaskets or vacuum or remove dirty towels under the pretense of "disturbing your privacy" is a bit self-serving--when we followed their instructions to leave the wastebaskets and towels in the hall after 9AM, we returned after 6 pm to find the same half-filled wastebaskets at our door, towels gone, but never replaced. We had to ask for two clean towels at the front desk. Overall the hotel was clean & the breakfast good, but the entire stay it seemed the idea was to get by with as little help and service as possible--which makes me feel badly for the desk clerk, who evidently has to fix TV's, serve breakfast, and clean bathrooms. Won't stay here again.

Joe at the front desk was exceptional dealing with our 24 hour delay in SF. Riley also went out of her way to welcome us. Our room was awesome, new, clean and comfortable. We will stay here again. Thx to all staff!

Upon arrival the desk staff ignored us and we had to use the "virtual receptionist" or whatever it is called to check in, pretty much the most aggravating experience ever. If I ever see one of those check-in kiosks in a hotel again I will turn around and stay somewhere else.

Diego, at the front desk, was so kind and helpful when I asked to change rooms. I really appreciated his willingness to provide great customer service.

Jo at the front desk was amazing!! I had a 24 hour delay in SF and he made sure i had keys and was checked in. Riley also was an awesome receptionist as well. Loved the room too!

Bend is fairly spread out, but there was a great walking path near the hotel.

Great central Bend location to stay close to all the amenities

Good location near Old Mill and conveniently located near the road to Mt Bachelor and Cascade Lakes. The room was recently remodeled, clean, modern, and lovely. Staff was friendly and helpful. Snacks and beverages were easily accessible in the lobby. I'd stay here again.

Good location, only 10 mins drive to downtown and 7 mins drive to shopping mall. The room is roomy and clean.

Beautiful hotel & nicely decorated. In a great location walkable to the Deschutes river.

Location is perfect for easy accessto amphitheater and old mill, as well as good for getting to bachelor. Clean, very friendly & accommodating staff. Fantastic place to stay for a proper Bend experience

The property was nice. We had to drive everywhere as the location wasn't very walkable.

Every thing was a 4 star except the Breakfast! We went down at 8:30 and there was no food(Closed at 9) at least 10 people also wanted food

The restaurant was being remodeled so can’t comment on that. They recommended eating at a sports bar called Lifty’s near by and we did get a discount for staying at the Peppertree. Good food, fun atmosphere.

Pretty Average. At checkin (not before) we were told our 3 bed room type we paid for 3 months ago was 'overbooked by the booking website' and we would be swapped to a 2 bed and sofa bed. Clearly they just sold the room, as it is now $100 a night dearer online. No reimbursement either, plus I had to walk down after check-in and ask for linen for the sofa bed. Breakfast was poor and the coffee was the worst of all the US/Canada hotels over the past few weeks. A shame, as the room was clean. I won't be back.

Was nice and clean. Perfect for the money. Only down fall was that restaurant/bar was closed the entire time we were there.

We enjoyed our stay here. Only downside was that the continental breakfast wasn’t great. Then, the 2nd morning, they had run out of quite a few things, making it even harder for my picky children to choose something they would eat. The pool temp was also cold. Otherwise, it was good. Friendly staff. Good service. Clean

Property advertising a lounge with food and drink options, staff informed me it has been closed for quite some time, little disappointing as this was the reason we chose this property over others, and paid more for it.
