I’d expect more from a Hilton branded hotel. The shower is already looking worn, visible water stains. Door lock had to be lifted with force to lock. Flat pillows that don’t hold your head up. King spring mattress worn (get memory foam ya cheapskates). TV unplugged so we plugged it up and it’s not user friendly at all. There’s no carpet in the room so that’s both good and bad. The HVAC was noisy. We only had one washcloth between the two of us. Hotel also adds a $8.50 fee for “incidentals”. When asked what “incidentals” were, the front desk told me “parking lot maintenance”. Bah. The parking lot was abysmal, a solid sheet of ice that had not been treated with salt or cleared with a plow or shovel. Lies. Serves them right if someone falls and sues. Won’t be staying there again. Other hotels in this area are better.

Great Hotel and stay. Have stayed at this Hotel several times in the last 4 years. Never disappointed. This last stay i was charged $4.95 for a parking recapture fee and we left. Haven't gotten an answer as to what this is.

We had a great stay! Place was clean and welcoming. Only issue was we couldn't get connected to the wifi but wasn't a big deal for us as we were just using it for our phones so didn't ask the front desk for help. Breakfast was good. Check out was easy. Lounge/lobby was great, lots of comfy seating and air hockey foosball and a pool table.

Great hotel , clean , breakfast was good - they offer a hot breakfast and always have coffee and tea available which is great . There is many food and shopping options down the road . There is a fridge in room but no microwave, there is a parking fee which is listed on the booking website- so any reviews that talk about not know about a parking fee is because they haven’t read it when checking out - I do suggest the staff should tell you though when checking in because they don’t - That I will say is sneaky - luckily I already knew about the fee and was prepared and asked about it . All in all my stay was very good and will definitely stay again .

Found pubes on the toilet and the shower was dirty. Crumbs at the head of the bed and some dirt on the floor under the counter. Fridge is terrible. Shower leaks. Room 442. I would still stay again. I understand things happen and some things may get missed. The location is great. It's quiet with plenty of restaurants nearby.

Overall this was a good stay but the room was not fully cleaned. The bottom of the shower door had lots of mold all over it. The wall next to the bed had some kind of red juice looking residue all over the baseboard. The floors felt very sticky.

This hotel is a great place to stay. It is the cleanest hotel that I have stayed in in a long time. I have found that the rooms are half clean in many hotels lately. The staff exhibited good customer service and the breakfast was superb. It was real food, with various choices, no continental breakfast. I highly recommend Tru by Hilton!

I wasn’t notified that there were no dressers in the room and no storage which made for an uncomfortable stay. We tried to call guest service several times for toilet paper towels and pillows and received no answer. Appt there is no over night staff to help with any of this. We actually left Sunday but paid through Monday because we were so uncomfortable. Clean hotel but would never stay there again.

Check in was fast and easy. The lobby area was nicely decorated and had several fun game options. Also appreciated having some snacks and beverages for quick purchases. Overall it's in a great location, tucked back from the interstate a bit so not too much noise, close to restaurants, Target, gas, etc. We felt safe there, beds were comfy, having a mini fridge was helpful, and breakfast options were good also. The only cons for me were 1) the walls being pretty thin and neighbors cranking up their TV at night (luckily had a sound machine that drowned that out), and 2) the shower smelled like bleach yet still had some pink mildew lingering on the shower head and around the rim. Not too bad for one night!

I liked the cleanliness. I loved the Lemon & Sugar body wash. I liked that breakfast was provided. I did not particularly like the size of the room, the amount of “closet” space and the lack of a kettle in the room. There was hot water downstairs but was only hot in the morning.

The bed was very uncomfortable. I got a message after checking in asking me how it eas and if I got a gift bag. We were not offered one and didnt know to ask. Noise, I know can be hard to manage but there was a lot fo noise. Banging doors, etc.

This is the cheapest-built building I've even been in. No soundproofing at all. I could hear conversations in three different rooms. As soon as the elevator door opens, I could hear the riders talking -- and I was 9 doors down! And let's not forget the upstairs neighbor stomping around and keeping me up. I finally got to sleep after everyone else settled down. I wound up just leaving at 4am to get out of there. :(

After a long travel day, you’re ready to get checked into your hotel room and relax. We arrived, walked in no one to be seen, waited and waited. I walked over a knocked on an employees only door, no answer. Continued to wait, decided I would call the hotel, well someone else was already calling the phone rang and rang and did not get answered. We remembered the doorbell at the entrance so we pushed that, finally a young man came from I don’t know where, chomping his gum, flipping his hair, and never even apologized. Very rude greeting when I’m the one paying your pay check. Won’t be staying there again and won’t recommend.

I got this room for my parents who are older and they raved about the friendly treatment they got and courteousness of the entire staff (especially Michelle) at the front desk. The staff answered all of my parents questions, no matter how trivial (like when TV went out due to a thunderstorm and parents didn't realize what happened) and the Tru workers maintained their great attitudes for their entire 4 night stay. Thanks Michelle!! The rooms were clean and nice and as described in the pictures. The breakfast was great with a nice selection. It was the great demeanor and helpfulness of the Tru staff in Smyrna which will can make me highly recommend the Smyrna Tru to others who are curious about the hotel.

Tru is always a lovely place to stay. Only reason for not top rating was because the elevator had a pretty bad smell. Upon arrival reception refused to give us water we requested and refused to add the stay to my husbands account for points. I can down later and made these changes with the other desk person, so mischief managed. No harm, no foul.

Great amenities, horrible front desk staff. 2 of the front desk employees were horrendous and one was just indifferent and kinda rude. Check in time is 3pm, but we, along with other guests, sat waiting in the lobby for our rooms until 3:30. Not super easy with little kids in tow while it’s raining out. Staff did not apologize for our rooms not being ready, and then accused me of harassing them because I asked if the room was ready after check in time. I’ve never experienced that level of poor customer service. Rooms are small and there’s no surface area for your stuff. I would not advise families to stay in a double queen. It was very cramped with 2 adults and 2 little kids compared to other hotels we’ve stayed in. Breakfast and pool were great. But… The cons far outweigh the pros for me. I won’t be staying here again.

Property was easy to navigate. It’s located 3 mins away from shopping such as Target, Ross, Dollar Tree, and CVS. Food choices are affordable. The hotel is ultra modern and contemporary. Beautiful furnishing and art work. Breakfast was better than expected. Warm and plentiful. We were in town for 3 days. This location was definitely a winner ❤️

My family has absolutely no complaints about this stay. Breakfast options were amazing, so much to choose from, and we loved the extended hours for breakfast. The staff was so kind and helpful, from housekeeping to breakfast staff. All had smiles and were friendly. Every area was clean and looked great. Our room was clean and comfortable. They had full size amenities too! We have family in the area and will stay there every time from now on!

I've stayed at several Tru's, but I was disappointed with the breakfast area on Sunday. It was very messy and there was absolutely no food available during breakfast hours from 9-10am. They finally brought some food out past 10 but definitely did not live up to the other Tru's I've stayed at. The coffee area was also a mess. Coffee stains everywhere and the coffee was so strong it was barely drinkable. The room was clean and check-in was quick and easy.
