Stayed 1 night

We chose Paradise Village specifically because it is marketed as a peaceful, relaxing place to stay near Mount Rainier. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but, and I was even more disappointed by how management handled our concerns afterward. What we were never told before our stay was that a large wedding would be taking place on the property. For hours that evening, there was amplified music, heavy bass, cheering, yelling, and significant wedding activity. At one point, a group of wedding guests gathered immediately near our cabin and were extremely loud. The event also affected the atmosphere during our reserved hot tub and sauna time. My issue is not simply that a hotel had noisy guests. Paradise Village knew in advance that it was hosting a large event that could materially change the experience for other paying guests, yet we were not given that information. Had we known, we absolutely would have chosen another night or stayed elsewhere. I contacted the property privately before posting a review and gave them the opportunity to resolve the issue. Management did not meaningfully address the lack of disclosure or offer any alternative resolution. This situation could have been avoided with basic transparency. Guests should be notified in advance when a wedding or large event is scheduled so they can decide whether that environment works for the stay they are planning.
