Mountain View Suites & Residency at Fairmont Hot Springs

Very friendly and helpful staff. The water park was a blast, and our son loved it. The gym is exceptional clean and well taken care of with newer looking equipment including a functional trainer, a generous set of dumbbells, bikes, treadmills and an elliptical, benches etc. The overall resort property condition is pretty great with normal wear and tear that one would expect. We will being staying here again when the opportunity presents itself.

Nice family place , just had issues with hot water , jets on tub not working , wifi was a bit weak at the Back of the building but loved the bbq that guests could use . Water slide was fun and the pool was awesome !!!

I enjoyed the property, it is an old building which I don’t mind at all! We enjoyed the hot tub, steam room and sauna.

Great family friendly hotel with a warm outdoor pool, water slide, spray park and hot tubs to soak the day away. Sauna, steamroom and fitness centre available for guests. Change rooms were very clean. There is a BBQ station off the main building for guests to use. The Family suite we had was spacious with 2bdrms and 2bathrooms. Full kitchen, living room, patio. It was clean but dated in decor and paint. Carpets looked newer throughout. Staff were always welcoming and very friendly whenever we walked past front desk. Even the cleaning staff were great and greeted you when you’d pass them in the hallway or outside on the property. Hotel restaurant-Boardwalk- was very affordable and good size portions. *pet friendly - their pet fee is different from their posted website fee so be aware it is NOT $15/day but rather $50/day We definitely would recommend staying here and will be back to visit.

Property is showing some signs of wear and tear, but if you are not picky it’s a great option. We stayed at the end of summer season, so pool was closed, but hot tubs and sauna were still available. Overall the suites are large and staff could not have been nicer!

Rooms were very spacious with separate bedroom, kitchen with everything needed to make meals. Loved the pool and hot tubs. Staff very helpful and friendly.

The hotel pool and common areas are starting to get dated, but overall a great pool area. The suite with balcony was large and in great shape with a great view. The ability to barbecue onsite was great.

The hotel rooms are like small apatments and very roomy also hotel was quiet and the hot tub and sauna were great!

It was ok. Rooms are a bit dated but clean. Beds are super soft. Didn’t get to use pool or hot tub as they just changed the hours.

It has a jet tub that doesn't work, it is dated, the floors were filthy, I had to wear slippers all the time. The couch is disgusting I felt ill sitting on it so I just sit at the kitchen table.

Room had a bit of an old or musty smell. Wasn’t looking there on purpose, but found a pair of men’s underwear/gaunch behind the dresser! Very expensive for age of room, time for an update!

The property is quite dated, but clean. Comfortable bed. (Note to staff: you might want to pull the bed out on occasion and vacuum under it.) Pulled the bed out to look for an electrical outlet. There was no outlet, but there was quite a bit of dust.) Otherwise, the unit was very clean. Internet available, however very slow or inaccessible at times. Sound proofing between units is pretty much non-existent. Not a huge problem as guests respectful of others and things usually quiet by 9:00/10:00 depending on number of children and their ages. Noise certainly not a reason for us to not stay here. Love the staff! They are very friendly and go above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable and trouble free. Management and Staff are very, very responsive to any concerns. The outdoor pool is large and warm. Two outdoor hot tubs, also very nice. There is also a steam room/sauna. We did not use them, so no comments. We would not hesitate to stay at Mountain View again.

This place is very old. There were dead flies on the bed. The pillows were so fat and firm you couldn’t even lay flat. The pool towels were hard to come by and were so small it’s like wrapping yourself in a tea towel. The pool noodles and flutter boards had BLACK MOLD on them. I was grossed out staying here and would consider it a two star property. Very upset at the cost for such an old and gross facility. Don’t waste your money. I would have preferred a motel.

The unit was clean enough. Pretty outdated, but that’s OK. The area around the condo complex is very dirty garbage everywhere. Quite a contrast to the beautiful golf course on the other side.

Quiet, clean and staff really nice

We always like staying at this property but every time we come we have issues with the hot water. We never did get more than Luke warm in the kitchen sink even after reporting the issue. We were told the place might have laid dormant and we might have to run the water for 5 minutes or so. This 5 minutes ran into between 10 and 12 minutes and it still wasn’t as warm as a normal hot water tap. Later after doing the dishes, the cold water tap started outputting warmer water than the hot tap for at least 10 minutes. So their water taps are a bit crazy. We also ended up using our hand vacuum we bring to suck up a bunch of spider webs in the windows and ceiling and corners. Didn’t look like this particular room had been used or cleaned very well for a while. There is also a lot of dog shat on the property that really should be picked up by owners but unfortunately if not should be cleaned up by management. As far as the hot water issue, as an example the “hot tub” in the bathroom to get any hot water was to leave it run until the tub was half full then more warmer water started to flow. We had the same issue with it the next day. Every time we would turn on the hot water tap Luke warm to cold water flowed. If you ran it for at least 10 minutes then it would get a little warmer. We boiled water to do the dishes. So if you can get past the water and a lot of spider webs, some with spiders it had a comfortable bed with semi stuffed pillows, comfortable couch and love seat.

Clean room , friendly staff

Cleaning supplies including a carpet cleaner were left in the room and there was bleach/water mixture on the tile floor that ruined my socks. Building kind of smelled of sewage, wonder what happened in my room 😳

Nice location and bed was nice. The room was INFESTED with spiders and the dishes were not clean. The shower had clearly not been cleaned and had scum on it. The carpet had crumbs, was stained, and scummy. Would never recommend due to a lack of cleanliness. Would have loved it if it was clean and not full of spiders.

This was a spacious suite with a great full kitchen, stocked with the basic necessities to cook. There is no plug near the bed to charge the phone or use a CPAP machine. The pillows were way to large and firm to comfortably use, I didn't use a pillow because of this. The bed was uncomfortable too, thin, springy mattress. The space was clean, quiet and the view was incredible. Also, the hot tub was well maintained and ready to go. Finally, the staff was absolutely wonderful!

We stayed in a couple one-bedroom suites with a pull-out couch in the living room. There were no blinds on the balcony door, and the rest of the blinds let in a lot of light, so it wasn't a great space for sleeping. Blackout blinds would improve this space dramatically (and lower the heat pouring in on the pool-view side as well). The pool is the big draw at this property, it's amazing, great water temperature, clean, easy to watch your kids. We loved it and will come back just because of the pool. The food situation around here isn't good. The restaurant in the hotel is just pub food and doesn't open until noon, so we had to go elsewhere for breakfast, and there aren't a lot of options nearby (we went to another hotel's restaurant). If we stayed again we would bring groceries from home and eat in the room.

Spacious suite, full kitchen. Older property but we’ll maintained. Comfortable and free laundry facilities. We enjoyed cooking our own meals for a change. Quiet and can park right in front. Leather couches need updating but otherwise for the price we were more than happy. Wonderful surroundings, great place to spend a few days.

Beautiful Mountain View’s off balcony, heated pool w slide & spa, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable bed & couches. Close to great hiking & Columbia Lake & River. Great fast food restaurant, great value. No elevator, but staff was happy to help with luggage & cooler.

Would stay again. One bedroom balcony suite, Nice size room and living space with a great view! My only negative is there was no tv in the bedroom.

The rooms were nice, but the walls/ceiling seemed paper thin. Every time someone in the room upstairs walked around or moved a chair it was loud. You could even hear people using the toilet above us! They put us in a 3rd story room so had to lug our stuff up 4 flights of stairs - only to be told we had to switch rooms because we had our dog and it wasn’t a pet friendly room. So we had to lug it all to a different room. The staff were nice though.

The room was spacious enough but the internet coverage was terrible. We had to sit at the room front door to get a signal. The beds were not comfortable both the one in the room and the sofa bed. The kitchen stuff were very old, like the pan and pot. I don’t know how much it costs for a facility like this to provide kitchens with newer stuff so it will be convenient for people to cook in the suite. I would not recommend this facility.

We were phoned about 2 hours before our arrival saying that the reception doors are locked past a certain hour due to low demand in shoulder season and to call their number (provided) when we arrived. We arrived and phoned… and phoned… and phoned. Nothing. Couldn’t leave a message as the mailbox was full. Wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt as it was around dinner time. Waited and phoned and phoned. Still nothing! I pressed my ear up to the locked reception door and could hear the phone inside ringing away. After about 45 minutes in the dark, waiting, we got in contact with a travel agent who promptly organized a refund and a new hotel for us. Thank you!! Besides the complete ghosting by an entire resort the place looks cheap. Desperately in need of updating and the amenities stated on the website are only open during peak season.

I had a confirmed, payment approved reservation but when we arrived after a 5-hour drive, the hotel claimed there was a problem and refused to help. I’m assuming they tried charging excess resort fees that were not in the contract and were not successful taking the unapproved amount. Instead of working with me or contacting Expedia, staff pressured me over and over to make a second booking and pay again. I waited in the lobby for 7 hours with my family. The “manager” yelled at me on the phone when I asked for assistance. They even gave my daughter expired snacks while we waited. Near midnight they finally said I’d get a “complimentary night,” but still wasted more time trying to rebook me. The hotel itself is extremely run-down and poorly maintained. The manager is arrogant and condescending. If this is your idea of management, it explains why the property looks the way it does. Save yourself the stress — there are MUCH better options nearby. EXPEDIA OFFERED ZERO HELP WITH THIS ISSUE. STILL UNRESOLVED

I want to state that I am not a paid reviewer. I just spent 7 days travelling through AB and BC and this was our last hotel. We unfortunately arrived very late due to an accident on the highway and we arrived at 8 pm. The hotel called us at 7 to ensure we were OK and still coming, which was nice. When we arrived, the Boardwalk Fast Food restaurant was about to close but the manager (Ash) said he would keep it open for us. That was excellent service. Check in was very welcoming. When we got to our room, we were truly blown away. The room is a suite with a separate bath room, bed room and a combined living room, dining room and fully stocked kitchen. The size of this suite must be close to 700 square feet. We had a balcony overlooking the mountains and waterpark. This was one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in. The bathtub can easily sit two people - beside each other (we tested it) and overall you felt like royalty with all the space you had. The living room also has an electric fireplace. I would give this room a 9.5 out of 10. There were three things I want to mention but they are not bad things. 1) There is no breakfast service. You either bring your own food to the room or you are not in the mood for cooking, you will have to leave the place and there is cafe that serves great coffee and breakfast options. 2) The bed is extremely soft. My wife loved it and I hated it. So it comes down to your preference. 3) The WIFI was spotty for us.

Where to start...when I first walked into reception the employee ignored me because he was on the phone (looked like a personal call), I had to wait for him to finish his personal conversation to get my details sorted. After we moved the truck and started unloading the guy came back saying we had the wrong keycard and to wait for him to bring the new one. A few minutes later we're up at the room wondering why there are only 2 towels when we're booked for 3 people. When I called reception I got no answer, so I walked down to ask for another towel not only was the guy gone, he had taped the other late check ins keycards to the door and left. These had their names on it and had their keycards and info inside, meaning anyone could take them and use the room leaving these people stranded for the night. Without a doubt the most unprofessional place I've ever stayed at, and will never stay again.

Very convenient and affordable property. A quick drive to the fairmont hot springs resort and having a kitchen unit in the suite was really good. Also liked that it was pet friendly !

Great room and location for the price. Will be staying again.

Great surroundings

The condos are situated on perfect landscape between the mountains, minutes away from Fairmont hot springs and columbia lake. Its a small village with limited shops, so go prepared if you are a family with kids. Overall, serene place to stay, hot springs are not over crowded, easy wild life sighting.

We enjoyed the location as it was just across the highway from the hot springs and ski hill. We were never told where the hot tub was on site or if it was working so that was too bad. The room was a good size and the full kitchen was excellent. We enjoyed the large jetted tub in the bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils.

Perfect location for golfers!

The good was The water park was fun! Atmosphere was great. The restaurant was convenient. The not so good, no tv in the suites only in the front room, the fan in the bedroom needs cleaned, and the bed mattress is very uncomfortable. Would I stay here again? Maybe since the kids like the water park but I would look elsewhere as well.

The pool area was amazing with a large heated pool, water slide that the kids loved, spray park and playground. There is also a pool side cafe serving burgers, fries, etc. Staff were very friendly. We loved it!

This hotel is not worth the money!! When booking this hotel, the expedia description made it sound waaaaay more luxurious that it actually is (we paid $327 for 1 night). For example: there is no bar/lounge. The only dining option is a burger shack. The closest places to eat are also not very good. The rooms are spacious and do come with a kitchen so you are able to cook your own food, which is handy - I see how this would be good for families. There was some confusion whether our room was ready upon checkin, which made it a slow process and we werent told about any of the other features of the hotel (sauna/steam room - if these exist). Bring your own pool towels, as the ones at the hotel are very small and thin! We are just passing through, so wont be returning but for the cost it was a disappointing stop on our trip!

Blast to the past property! Vintage/dated vibe inside suite. Clean, large suite. Coffee in suite with powdered whitener. Do not accommodate special requests i.e.: anniversary. Don't expect extras - just a place to stay and access on-site amenities. Very friendly resort and dining staff. Nice pool side patio to eat at overlooking mountains. Easy towel service at front desk. Pool/sauna/steam room. Restaurants nearby close early. Can park at Fairmont Resort up the hill for free and explore.

Great stay , the hotel it is a bit outdated but it has everything you need , very convenient , close to the hot springs , they have a little place to grab something to eat , and the staff it is amazing , very helpful and ready to respond to your needs. We will be back , we always book this place when we go to hot springs. Thank you
