This property was very close to the train station and surrounded by a host of food options as well as shopping of all sorts from clothing to electronics. Our room was clean and the space was big enough to move around and enjoy but not so large as to be in excess. We really loved the bath/shower in our room. It’s the first time I had that kind of a shower. The shower area was separate from the tub where you stand outside of the tub to shower. It was amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive and left nothing for want. The room was outfitted with an electric kettle and all the coffee, cream/sugar, tea, wash cloth, etc. was available in the lobby, take whatever you need/want. I liked the concept. We made use of the laundry facilities and it was very simple and easy to use. The machine was an upright with wash/dry capability all in one. Soap was also included with the price as it automatically dispensed it. We used the max time for wash/dry which cost 500 yen. A electric lock was also part of the fee which secured our clothing, allowing us to set it and forget it, coming down from our room when time was completed. I have no fear of staying in another Via Inn property if this is an example of what the other properties are like. Thank you!

Hotel ist zu Fuß vom Bahnhof erreichbar. Zimmer war sauber, Personal sehr freundlich (haben mir bei der Versendung meines Koffers zum nächsten Hotel geholfen). Es gab nur 2 Fahrstühle und die mussten alle 14 Etagen abdecken - ich musstd des öfteren länger auf den Fahrstuhl warten.

Everything was in good condition and the staff was very friendly. The location, 10 min walk from Nagoya Station, was also perfect. Fun bonus was the status display of the washing machines in use. You could check on the TV when the laundry was done and how much time was remaining.

Clean room. Friendly and helpful staff. The room I was in has a much bigger size bathroom - toilet/powder room separated from the deep tub n shower. This is great news for those who are not used to those modular bathrooms. The only critic I have is if the hotel could at least provide their guests a bottle of water upon check in - like a welcome drink would be nice!!

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and the proximity from the Nagoya train station, with lots of food options around, was great. My only negative feedback is that fact that I, along with about 5-6 other guests, waited at least 15 minutes trying to get from the 4th floor down to the lobby, as we were checking out. The elevators kept being full from the upper floors and we were told by staff that there was no option to walk down. We ended up taking the elevators up, in order to go down.

Rooms were very clean and well kept, same goes with the rest of the property. Rooms are quite small (to be expected for most Japanese hotel rooms). The staff was very friendly and accommodating. This is a comfortable enough place to stay for a few nights. Breakfast was not great (in my opinion). And the elevator is extremely inefficient and slow. We were on the 14th floor and waited 20 minutes for an elevator, this was at 10:00 am during checkout time. This was my biggest gripe with staying here.

The property was very clean, and the staff was very professional and polite. The hotel was also within easy walking distance from Nagoya station. But if you're traveling with someone, however, make sure you get a room with twin beds. The single mattress room was extremely cramped, and the bed itself was so small that there's no way two people can sleep on it comfortably. And the bed itself was very firm, so be prepared for that -- but that's par for the course for every hotel in Japan.

The room and toilet is quite spacious compared to other business inns around the station. Toilet is split into dry sink toilet bowl area and inner shower area, which within has a sit-down shower area and bathtub. I love that you can see the live status of the laundry from the TV homescreen. Breakfast is semi-buffet style, choose either Jap or Western main set.

We were happy with our stay at Via Inn Nagoya Ekimae. The hotel is within walking distance to Nagoya Station, restaurants and shopping centers. The area was lively at night but we felt safe and it was quiet from our room. The hotel was clean and modern. We stayed in an economy double room which had enough space for two people with two suitcases each. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and checking in and out were very easy. Highly recommended!

I recently stayed at this hotel and was disappointed with the room’s air conditioning. It wasn’t working properly, and despite speaking with the staff, I was told that “this is just how air conditioning is in Japan.” However, I’ve stayed at other hotels in Japan, and their air conditioning worked perfectly fine, so this explanation didn’t make sense. Because of the poor temperature control, the stay was uncomfortable, and the response from the staff was not very helpful.

This hotel is located about 10 minute walk from JR Nagoya/Shinkansen Station and subways. It is a transport hub, however it is not in the downtown area which is 20 minute walk or 2 train stops away. It is also right next to a construction site so the outlook isn’t good but surprisingly the noise is blocked off and we hardly heard any noise during our stay. The hotel in general is comfortable and clean and the breakfast is good too.

We appreciate the hotel being new but the area in and around the hotel is a little on the seedy side. A little questionable. But we have noticed this on all of the JR properties we've stayed at. So I guess we will try a different chain of hotel next time.

The goods: Comparatively spacious room in Japanese standards. Quiet yet close to Nagoya Station. Just around 5 mins away on foot. Nice Japanese buffet breakfast. Washing and drying machines available on site. The bads (not many): Some Japanese bars / izakayas in the proximity and can be a bit noisy when you walk back to the hotel at night. Breakfast items could use a bit of variation on a daily basis.

必要なものは揃っています。特にコンセントがベッド横にしっかりあるのが有り難い。あとビジネスホテルでは珍しく洗い場付きのバスルームだったのも良かった。唯一朝食のハーフバイキングのパンが補充が不十分だったのが残念でした。入った時は4種類ほどあったのが、取ろうと思った時には2種類に、最後には待って待ってやっと1種類出てきた感じです。後から入った人が気の毒でしたので、ラストオーダーまではちゃんとあると良いなと思いました。
