The hotel was in a nice spot to get to downtown events, dining, etc. The hotel needs a lot of updates. Blow dryer did not work, asked for another one. They did not have a portable one. (Was hooked to wall). Scenic deck looking over river did not have a walkable entrance.. This is the best part of the hotel. Had to go around back and up some stairs. Breakfast was ok, Muffins, eggs, etc. Where breakfast is served they used to have a bar in this same area. They do not have that anymore. But can order refreshments through the front desk. Be cautious for those that do not like trains. It goes right behind this hotel early in the morning. View of river is pretty., get your room on river side. The space upstairs was where they served breakfast years ago and you could look out over the river...not sure why they closed that area off.

The check in clerk was fantastic. Had to go outside up two flight of steps in the back to enjoy outside table & chairs. Since the restaurant has been closed for awhile, I would expected temporary drywall in the restaurant to allow access to that area.

We were told to walk outside of the building, and around back to the stairs to access the outdoor patio. Since it was a beautiful sunny day, this was not a real issue, however, inside access to the outdoor patio would be great, even opening the indoor area adjacent to outdoor patio so quests can enjoy the view and sunshine while enjoying a cup of coffee.

Great location, and hotel has impressive looking exterior, but interior was dated. We were there on slow days (Sunday-Wednesday), so very little was put out for continental breakfast. We had an early checkout, so missed out on their puttting out more of a spread. AC was loud, and the thermostat was either too warm or ice cold. Only closet was in bathroom. Can’t get dressed if someone’s in the bathroom.

It appears the bathrooms need an upgrade. Tubs are huge and tall and difficult to get in to. Tidiness could be improved, however, the hotel has a certain charm. Staff was very helpful, with Joyce being a star.

This hotel had one claim to fame here in town and it is their huge bathtubs big enough for a couple to share some alone time in. These had an awesome jet tub experience when I was there a few years ago but now none of the jets work. The bathroom and other amenities all seem to be falling apart. The digital readout for the in room air conditioner was completely broken so we were guessing while trying to get the room to a comfortable temperature. Overall this was such a bad experience we won't be back and we have become a detractor from this hotel. Go to the super 8 their pool is so nice.

Hotel very nice and clean. Walls paper thin, person in room next to ours on the phone at 2:30am talking at the top of his lungs, then the TV turned up, his TV must have been against our wall, it seemed like it was in our room. I called front desk after a while it was turned off.

Our tv didn't work, and the front desk lady tried to fix it to no avail. She was the only employee at 630 pm on a Thursday, so no one else was able to help. Fortunately, there was another pet friendly room she was able to move us to, so in general we have no complaints. The beds are a little "tired" and in need of updating. The location is perfect, and the local people are very helpful and friendly. We can't wait to visit again.

Loved this place. Staff were extra sweet and helpful. We had a lovely river room. We enjoyed the breakfasts. Not your average continental breakfast. Homemade cinnamon rolls were awesome. Maysville is very walkable to shops and restaurants.

Timmy at the front dest is rude and I’ve been charged twice for for my room! My cousin had a room on 5/11 but because I made the reservation back in January and since he wasn’t here at a “reasonable” hour they just cancelled it without any notice. I’m very unhappy with my stay.

Carol checked us in on our first stay which was on the evening of 10/30. We were so impressed by her efficiency, helpfulness and friendliness that we decided to stop at your hotel again, on our next trip through Maysville which was on 11/27. It was a pleasure to find her at your front desk again. She makes us feel that she truly appreciates our patronage and we are welcome - qualities that we find are in short supply these days. She is a great ambassador for your establishment! Our room was comfortable and clean and we will return any time we are in town. Breakfast would be a great addition!

We love staying at the French Quarter Inn! Maysville is a great place to visit and we enjoy staying at the Inn. The river views from the rooms are amazing! Lots of places to eat within walking distance or a short drive. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. Looking forward to our next visit!

Quaint hotel we stayed at pre-Covid. It is very walkable to shopping and dining options. There was no type of breakfast offered this visit, but a couple of walkable options were recommended by the staff. However, the condition of our room was not as expected this trip. The room in general was looking very worn, including walls, ceiling, tub. The heat/ac source had unreadable numbers, so I had to guess on the temp and just adjust up and down. I was told they were aware of this. The bathroom fan was terribly noisy. They only had a handful of guests that night, but the room seemed like it was a third floor "spare" room. Other than the pleasant staff and walkability, I doubt we'd stay there again if all the rooms were like that.

The suite was fabulous. The view was great. No ice on floor. Came to breakfast at 8:20 and most of the food and milk was gone. The water pressure was low. But overall, we would highly recommend.
