Overall very good. Main complaint is the limited parking.

I like that it was right next to Robinson Mall. There were no towels of any sort in the bathroom. When we asked for towels, we had to ask twice. When we got towels, we got exactly two bath towels. No floor mat, no face or hand towels. Swimmig pool was apparently closed for cleaning, but we were led to believe it was simpy closed for repairs or some such.

Comfy beds. Great pool. Great staff. Nice, hot showers.

Summit is the place to stay in Tacloban. It is conveniently located by the best mall in town. There are plenty places to eat and see. There is also a pool. It could use a gym. The staff are kind and helpful. No laundry services, you have to go across the street to a laundry place.

Very dirty and smell sewer all over the place. Toilet/bathroom is very dirty

Pillow had a lipstick stain on it , hall way going to the room was dirty. Had to ask for towels as the room didn’t have towels .

I lived in tacloban as this hotel was being built. To see the sheer neglect and unprofessional repairs is truly sad. The owners should be disgusted by the lack of care for their investment! I was in the best room they have (lobi suite) and to have a tworn and stained couch, mold in every crevice, bathroom fixture about to fall off and windows you cannot see out of through the filth and mildew! Filthy windows throughout every level of the building, stained and smelly carpets, staff that has no clue how to maintain a positive customer interaction. I have to believe the owners either don’t care or are allowing blind management! I can not recommend staying here. You don’t get the great quality you’d expect at this price!

This hotel is nice but our room had an overwhelming odor of mold. No visible mold at all, perhaps it was in the ventilation. We are not complainers and the mold that exists all over the phillipines never bothers me. This however was intense.

Brown stinky water coming out the sink faucet. Denied a refund since it was booked through a third party.

The staff was geeat, but the air conditioner in our room was out of control. We called for assistance, but it just would not shut off automatically The bathroom had mold all around the shower door and the room seem to have mold too. The hotel could use a good cleaning.

Cockroach infestation in first room and awful smell like raw sewage in second room. We travelled with a large group and we were all on different floors so we could not visit each others rooms. Sort of a hassle. Breakfast was great.

This hotel is supposed to be Hotel of the Year but it falls short on so many levels. Dated hotel Check in was a nightmare as waited awhile in line then it took another 12 minutes to check to see if room I had already paid for was available. Went to room and key card did not work. 6 staff at front desk and only 3 working. Wi-Fi was not working but they finally fixed it. No hand towels or wash cloths in room. Spoke to General Manager on duty and all she said was they were sorry and that was it. Do not bother as this hotel is not worth it.

great in pictures and people are awesome but hotel needs a major facelift. don't expect a lot and it's ok.

Ceiling ac leaked and woke up to water. Reception ac units causing water their as well. Another couple has the same issues and was very upset. I would wait until they get this taken care of as it's been happening for a while.

No towels in room,internet did not work at all even after going back to front desk to request help. TV remote not working… turned tv on and could not change channels or change volume. No towels and issues with terrible internet have been same last 3 stays. A lot of condensation on floor from AC made floor very slippery. Only reason we stayed was to go to mall across street but do not waste your time at this hotel.

Excellent location, right next to a nice mall with shopping and great restaurant options. Friendly and helpful staff. Thank you team for getting us towels right away!😊 The room itself was nice however the shower temperature keept fluctuating. It gets so cold and then gets so hot it’s unbearable. The sink faucet was hard to shut off I thought it was stuck! This would be such an easy and cheap fix if they really want to address it (room # 411). Buffet food is nice and convenient. They are standard Filipino dishes but all are yummy and delicious. All in all, I highly recommend it and would stay there again when I’m in town.

I have stayed here several times, starting from shortly after the hotel opened a few years ago. The overall appearance is good, but the individual rooms are looking really run down, e. g., mold growing in the grout all over the tiles in the bathrooms, equipment breaking down, but it is a good value, definitely more upscale than other places I’ve stayed in Tacloban. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The room A/C kept it cold, but it didn’t seem to remove the humidity, but that might have been due to my not fully understanding the thermostat operation. I will stay there again if I have the opportunity.

When we arrived, the phone did not work. I had to commute back to the front desk to report this. Later we reported to the front desk we had no face towels with new phone, no one ever brought any. The WiFi never worked for us. Never…

Great hotel. Room was super clean, bed was comfy, fast wifi. Breakfast was great. Only downside was slow check-in. 30 minutes in line. One clerk to sign everyone in. Everything else was great.

It's a nice hotel, but there were no towels in the room. I called for some and they were supposed to be delivered, but weren't. Called again in the morning and finally got some. :/

The property is average. The front desk staff wasn’t friendly. The rooms are old and not clean. Dining and shopping options are great. Parking is great. The property appearance is safe.

I can't say enough about the Summit Hotel in Tacloban, Leyte, Philippines! The staff is so very customer service-focused as to make each guest feel as though they are uniquely respected and important. For me, the only detraction to the whole experience was finding the fire door to the side stairs left open a couple of mornings. This presents a security risk, which is contrary to their otherwise safety-oriented environment.

I arrived at the check-in lane and stopped got out of my vehicle to check in. I joined the line and was waiting and security came and told me I had to move my vehicle. I've never had this happen at a hotel while checking in. That's what the check-in lane is for. Then I stood in line for an hour while they checked everyone in. Really really slow service. I got to the room opened the fridge and I immediately saw a roach run out from under it. The grout in the bathroom was grimy and the body wash dispenser was broken. The windows weren't clean so I couldn't enjoy the view either. The suite was large and the bed was comfortable. Dining room staff were great. Right across from the mall so definitely things to do. Would think twice about staying again.

The staff was courteous and quick to get us cheacked in. Upon checking out we didnt have to wait for the room to be cleared which is never the case in the philippines, so I was supprised. Other than that i have no complaints other than th power went out a couple times but no harm done as it came back on quickley. I would most certainly stay here again.

It's probably the hotel in the area. Excellent location, directly across from Robinson Mall which offers yiu several dinning options.

My room (405) had a funky smell kind of a wet moldy smell. And the fire sprinkler was leaking a little so water would build up on the floor so I had to watch out for that. Other than these couple things it was a great hotel to stay at. I do wish the hotel breakfast Buffett had a few more options available.

Everything was great except for the breakfast buffet. All the food options were left out cold and unheated. The juice and water served to us was horrible. But overall we enjoyed it

It’s right next to Robinson’s Mall Marasbaras, and close to lots of things to do, locally, too! Good parking that’s free! Breakfast buffet for an extra P400 (about $8 USD!) per person with good variety of food, juices, coffee, toast, jams, fruits, and some desserts! We Summit Hotel, as this is our very first time we stayed here, and were so impressed with the spacious accommodations, that we extended our stay here, for another week! Thanks, Summit Hotel!

Das Summit Hotel Tacloban liegt direkt neben der Robinson Mall in der es wirklich einfach alles zu kaufen gibt. Das macht die Umgebung insgesamt zwar etwas unruhig, auch gerade in den Abendstunden, aber im Hotel selbst bekommt man davon nichts mit. Alle Mitarbeiter im Hotel geben ihr Bestes und sind auch den seltenen ausländischen Besuchern gegenüber sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Leider gibt es ein paar Kritikpunkte, die nicht unerwähnt bleiben sollten: Da wäre zum Beispiel die Zahlung von 96 Pesos beim Frühstück für den Tee. Auch wenn es umgerechnet nur 1,50 € sind, ist es doch mehr als lästig jedes Mal nach dem Frühstück entweder in bar oder mit Kreditkarte zu zahlen. Die von uns gebuchte Pintados Suite könnte insgesamt etwas mehr “Liebe“ bei der Pflege der Einrichtung und der Oberflächen gebrauchen. Einen Schrank suchte man dort vergebens, was bei einem sechstägigen Aufenthalt nicht sehr komfortabel ist. An unserem ersten Tag haben wir erst einmal die 4 cm dicke Eisschicht des Gefrierfachs beseitigt, welche sich auch bereits im gesamten Kühlschrank ausgebreitet hatte. Was leider den gesamten Aufenthalt für uns abgewertet hat war, dass man es nicht geschafft hat, in der großen Dusche heißes Wasser zu bekommen. (Es waren 3x Handwerker dort und die haben offenbar ihr Bestes versucht). Wir mussten mit warmen Wasser in der Badewanne vorlieb nehmen. Leider konnte man uns vor Ort keinerlei Alternativen anbieten.

The best hotel ever! The rooms are clean and the hotel smells great when you walk in! We were greeted very nicely by the staff! The ambiance outside is great. It’s right across the Robinsons Mall. The breakfast was fantastic! Not your usual continental breakfast, this was high class.

There were some issues with the fixtures in the bathroom not working. Also the food at the restaurant was not good. We had a club sandwich and a burger. The bread on the club was not toasted and was cut way too thick. There was so much sauce on both the burger and the sandwich that we could not taste anything else and they were very messy.

Summit hotel is a great place to stay if you are in Tacloban. Robinson’s is right beside which was very nice. Their breakfast buffet was awesome and the staff were awesome as well!!
