My favourite place to stay in Copenhagen - the location is outstanding, Tata Bar and the rooftop are fantastic, and the staff go over and above. Definitely worth it!

I’m truly disappointed to be writing this review, as I had been looking forward to staying at Sanders for a long time, saving the experience for a special celebration. The reception staff was kind and welcoming, a positive first impression. Unfortunately, that level of care did not extend to the rooftop, where we were treated rudely and with surprising cold disrespect. We were told at check-in that breakfast was included, either downstairs or on the rooftop. Although we rarely have breakfast, we decided to try it, curious to see how refined it might be. After I served a small plate with salmon and cheese, a staff member finally asked for the room number, only to inform, in front of other guests, that breakfast was not included. They then proceeded to take the plate and throw it in the garbage. We were left feeling embarrassed and humiliated. This, at a room rate of €770. To add to the disappointment, our bathroom was in a poor state, damaged and run-down, which I’ve attached a photo of. This is unacceptable at this level of pricing. If a room is in poor condition, even partially, it should not be allocated until it is fixed. The hotel itself has charm, the room was decently equipped, and the location is excellent. But there are no amenities as advertised, no spa, no gym, no sauna, and based on the treatment we received, especially at breakfast, we cannot recommend the property.

Our room was a nice size and well appointed. The staff were all really nice. The people in the bar area went out of their way to help us find a seat. The location is great. This was our second visit and we will be back.

The hotel is very classy, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the room kept very clean. I especially liked the “turndown” service in the evenings. The incredibly cozy and beautiful room on the 5th floor is a beautiful hidden secret. The best part of Hotel Sanders are the Juno Bakery cardamom cookies. So delicious! My only complaint is that there is no gym in the hotel—it’s a 15 min walk. Otherwise, FABULOUS hotel!!!

The staff were friendly and helpful in every interaction. The room was immaculate and very inviting. The common areas were nicely presented, and the "wine o'clock" social hour in the lobby bar was a very nice part of the experience. The hotel itself is in a convenient location for access to public transport, restaurants, cafes and sightseeing.

Sanders is a boutique hotel in a great location which attracts a more hip clientele. Most of the staff were incredibly nice and friendly. I understand that Copenhagen is a city with high cost of living but here is what didn’t feel like value for money for rooms at $1,200 per night: the room didn’t have a desk or table to work and the female receptionist was completely dismissive about it; the room had view of a wall; the showers are old style (to go with the character of the hotel) but they leaked water all over the floor as bathroom has only half a glass door; the carpet had stains on it; the corridors are so narrow only one person can pass comfortably at a time; the breakfast which was at an extra charge and not included in the room was not anything to write home about; we were charged for oversalted dishes we sent back untouched; and there was an error on the final bill - though small, I wasn’t happy about how the young woman dealt with the issue!! Copenhagen is an amazing city and we loved our stay in a central location and the great neighborhood Sanders is located at and how pleasant the staff were (except for the two cases above) but the value for money was well below other 5 star hotels we stayed at in Stockholm Grand and Oslo.

What a beautiful hotel with friendly staff and a relatively large room, which is hard to come by in Europe. The airline lost our luggage and we didn’t even care because the hotel was so wonderful!

The hotel itself was absolutely gorgeous, but the room was *so* small we could barely fit our luggage and barely move around. The general guest vibe is very 'instagram influencer' and I feel like having to deal with the other guests (one who tried to pocket my husband's phone as we were checking in?) left a bad taste in our mouths. Obviously not the hotel's fault, but overall wouldn't recommend unless you are getting a large room.

Beautiful place , de decor very Nordic style which was lovely. The only thing we didn’t love was the size of the rooms, very small. Other than that it was very nice and the staff was helpful.

Staff were all lovely, friendly and welcoming. Very clean and lots of different seating areas inside and outside. Great location, walking distance to lots of different attractions and so close to the metro to get to the airport. Complimentary mini was great. Bikes available to hire. Breakfast was good but a little over priced. What let it down was it’s VERY overpriced for the stay and the size of the room was tiny and not a great view at all.

I had an amazing stay at Hotel Sanders. At first, I was given an attic-style room, but it was difficult to move around in, and staying there for five days would have been tough. So, I spoke to the receptionist, Miguel, about it. He immediately changed my room to a bigger and even nicer one, which made me so happy. My whole stay was wonderful. Alexa was incredibly helpful in guiding me to where I needed to go, and a kind man (I forgot to ask his name) helped me with my train apps. All the hotel and restaurant staff were so sweet and welcoming. I’d love to come back sometime soon! Thank you very much for taking such great care of me!

Lovely hotel with beautiful design and a perfect location. Unfortunately, the overall experience was ruined by the breakfast service, which was outright rude and unpleasant. This is a lovely hotel, centrally located and within walking distance of many of the attractions in Copenhagen. The ambiance of the hotel is stellar. There are small intimate spaces to have a wine and visit. Staff is outstanding and were helpful with any question or concern one might have. The best hotel I’ve stayed in.The Sanders is beautiful, clean, homely close to everything you’d wish to see in Copenhagen and the staff were the most accommodating I’ve ever experienced. It was our first trip away from our little one and wanted to treat ourselves and this hotel is a dream. We had a small noise issue night one that we mentioned relatively casually not expecting anything at all. With no hesitation they told us to pack our bags and offered a room change. We returned to a beautiful suite with living room, fireplace and complimentary drinks in the TaTa bar that evening. An amazing gesture that made our short stay even more memorable. We’ve already recommended family who’ve booked for April. Thank you for a fabulous stay, we will be back!

Sanders is a boutique hotel in a great location which attracts a more hip clientele. Most of the staff were incredibly nice and friendly. I understand that Copenhagen is a city with high cost of living but here is what didn’t feel like value for money for rooms at $1,200 per night: the room didn’t have a desk or table to work and the female receptionist was completely dismissive about it; the room had view of a wall; the showers are old style (to go with the character of the hotel) but they leaked water all over the floor as bathroom has only half a glass door; the carpet had stains on it; the corridors are so narrow only one person can pass comfortably at a time; the breakfast which was at an extra charge and not included in the room was not anything to write home about; we were charged for oversalted dishes we sent back untouched; and there was an error on the final bill - though small, I wasn’t happy about how the young woman dealt with the issue!! The overall standard has dropped significantly- breakfast far from previous levels - reminds me more of low budget hotels. Coffee beans roasted to hard and coffee machine has clear taste of lime. The waiter (he) coughing in his hands and did not use hand sanitizer - uff. Please add 50 kr more to the room charge and provide a proper bottle of Evian rather than a carafe of tapped water fully opened. The amenities are not luxury - come on. Want to be luxury boutique, then go all the way - I.e cotton pads are like sandpaper and not soft. It’s Easter - where’s the Easter egg to the guest ?

Very nice hotel. Like most in Scandinavia, overpriced. And don’t even dream about an early check in (even 1 hour). Most high end European hotels are stuck on this. I was thinking this hotel would be different. I was wrong. Great food, dining. Really no area in the lobby area with lighting to work if your room isn’t ready.

Location was excellent and staff very friendly. However, the room was absolutely teeny, even compared with New York City and Paris standards. I mean, uncomfortable small. There’s also not enough lighting to see properly in either the bedroom or the bathroom so I had to put my makeup on standing up by the window for a glimpse of natural light. The full length mirror was smoked so impossible to see how you look. We fell in love with Copenhagen and the neighborhood where the hotel is located, we are already planning to return but we would never stay at this hotel again.
